Didn’t know Crouchy played in Swedish 2nd division now that’s random and completely out your comfort zone. English players always succeed in France and are loved by the fans (Waddle, Cole, Barton) but unfortunately the money gap is too important between PL and Ligue 1, a substitute in Chelsea or City would have to divide his wage by 2 or 3...

Watch the video - he went on loan to Sweden as a 17 year old to get some game time early in his career. He's spoken about it before - he wasn't physically strong enough to play up front in England at that age although he was still tall enough he'd be played as a target-man and be expected to win everything in the air. So he went to Sweden instead of dropping down a division and it allowed him time to develop properly - in the lower English league's he'd have been bullied out of the game.
boohoo, what about South American players leaving their families, friends and culture in a far away continent? what about African and Asian players... cmon guys, every foreign player has to deal with this. At least English players have the advantage of living only a 2-4 hour plane ride home and speaking English which is at least understood in every league.
