This is one of my biggest phobias. Glad I can enjoy it from the comfort and safety of my bed. :)
TheNoerdy1221 An aging mega structure above extreme depths, yup, that I get you.
Then live your life boringly while I swim with the fish
@@SirKolass yeah, not diving means boring life. Diving is a definition of fullfilled life. Gotta be kidding xD
@@geiger21 It may not be boring, but not near as cool as someone who dives. It's a lifetime experience.
What will you do? Go to an amusement park? A zoo? And then what?
@@SirKolass there are a lot more things to do in life. Im not into diving, im afraid of deep water and I don't need it to be happy. It all depends on what you like
Preserve them and turn the top surface into an area for plants to grow, would be really interesting especially since it is isolated from the land.
John Yowan like a sea life shelter. small island for birds
They should turn decommissioned oil rigs into marine research centers.
even bether u can build some small town on it with theyr own economy and of course without money
thatd be so cool
This is amazing!! Please make more videos like this. I really wish I had a vr set right now.
Thank you so much National Geographic to share this video and many more. I could see what I can't go to. And I'm more being thankful that God has created this all so beautiful :)
Cool *looks down into infitinite abyss of the unknown*.
Aight Imma head out
amazing job NG. Well done. Hope to see more videos like this
build a self-sustainable educational center on the rig where students can board there, learn about marine biology, sustainable systems, innovate etc.
its the least the Petro-elite could do.
for free.
Brilliant!!
Wow...❗😇 This is the first 360-degree video I am watching/witnessing and I am blown away by both technology and the "aqua-terrain" it took me to. Amazing!👏 I have seen several beautiful under-water footages, but this is the first time I felt I wanna dive-in right there. Love😍 the texts too. Kudos to everyone involved; superb...😀
That was really amazing. Good job!
we want more of these . that was soo cool 😊😊😊
Would still be lovelier if the landscape the original rig destroyed was still there instead.
New Message its a shame you are going to get hate because you care about your home planet
Rad Zilla So it goes..Worth the abuse, if only so that I can know I saw, thought, then decided what side I was on. And took the risk to say so.
Besides.. the odd person now and then ads a little support to keep me from feeling alone :)
+Jonathan true that s the paradox of life
Well I mean there probably really wasn't anything living in that spot before the oil rig got put in so if you like endless ocean blue it'd be pretty cool, if you turn around a few times in the video you can see that
MarioDragon by 'wasn't anything living', you mean cute little colorful fish and beautiful fractal corals. Every inch of the sea floor ever dredged has yielded tones of life. You've just decided that the worms, algaes, bacteria, copopods, isopods, micro mollusks, sponges and other small, creepy, crawly, 'unlovable' life forms qualify as 'nothing'.
Very telling of the human idea of what is 'worthy of life'.
Seeing as we only visit, I imagine what we 'think of the view'.. should be irrelevant when we decide what is worthy of existing there.
My point was that maybe Nature had a good enough idea of what it was doing without our aesthetic judgement.
So gratifying.
Breathtaking
They must be preserved
That was amazing
I think you need to drop the 2 boats into the ocean at the oil platform.
i want to scuba dive one day!
Beautiful movie
so cool!
Beautiful!!!! 🥰
its making me learn more geography
ابدااااااع سبحان من خلق الاشياء فسواها
Beautiful stuff, rather uniquely captured the joys of diving - the emergence and submersion between the above and below worlds of the ocean and mankind.
I CANT FDOOOKIN MOVE IT
oh how the ocean loves scaffolding!
See, drilling for oil is a good thing.👍⛽
PRESERVED HELL YES
after they pump out the oil and the gas do they put anything replace what they took out of it ?? yes or no and why not ???good show thank you..
We need more Oi Rigs!!!
Amen...for so many reason's...
Oh Wow! What is the gear you used to film that 360 VR? Because the Nikon VR always shows black bars underwater...Thanks in advance for the info! :)
Oh...they use Custom Camera rigs....damn
this was cool, but i still like the 360 alex honnold free solo one better
Way to make oil rigs look cool lol
My heart is in the ocean but now I love so far away from it. Thank you for bringing it to me. :)
I scuba dived the great Barrier reef
yes
Get out there!
Let the top structure, that is, the the structure above the sea surface be dismantled & removed, keeping only the structure below sea surface as it is.
Worked offshore oil and gas for 30 years.......always the best fishing around the platforms. In Texas we remove the top structure and lay down the jacket (underwater structure) on the bottom for the wildlife. Though they kill everything in the area when they use the explosives.....lol........The government makes us do that........Oh and the seafloor is returned to pristine too.
우왕
I want to buy one and live on it.
cuiden los ecosistemas
Anyone know the name of the song used in this?
The structure should remain!
They should definitely NOT tear them down even a small effort to keep it restored and used as a research center would be great!
How?
Life, uh, finds a way. Hippies don't.
my fuckin god, my eyes bleeds just seeing this vids. love it so much
amazing! How these videos are made?
Where's Snake at or Revolver Ocelot???
Live there, safe from zombies!
😃😃😄😄👍👍👍👍
What was that duck doing do there like 2:00 in?
Aaron Inman not a duck: they don't travel so far from shore. But yes it is a bird.
I’ve just discovered a new form of thallasaphobia and idk what it’s called now
Ah--yes. The beauty of pollution.
4K is not good enough!!!!
Wow the oil industry accidentally did a good thing
Where's the Kraken?
this video is for a petition?
dafuq the thumbmail looked like a kraken
If it's not bad for the environment, why not just leave it there? It's obviously a mecca for sea creatures.
I cant see anything wtf all I see is a black screen
3rd
I was third
Idk but machinery underwater, especially in murky water creeps me the fuck out. buoy chains, pipes and huge ship propellers are the worst. nope
You WISH.......they will become obsolete
nuh uhh
First
Stranger things 3
Every one should drive an electric car, solar panels should be in ever building and ever state and country should own a dam and windmills. For new laws.
Global cooling is better than global warming
Has it stilk any negative effects in the environment?
nope, aint doing it. i HATE the ocean
I see Donald Trump
360 videos are so annoying
Anyone know the name of the song used in this?
