Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.
Check your local regulations, as each state and territory is different, before you travel into or though NP with your dog. Here is the Parks Victoria website for those of you wishing to read up on Victoria's laws 👉 www.parks.vic.gov.au/things-t...
Hey look, it's me.
Hey look, it's you!
You Shure? Lol
🤣
😂
But... but I'm me. You're you, not me!
Loved it mate but I hate mosquitoes put a wetsuit on 😂😖
They were horrendously persistent!
They were making me itchy watching them on the lense!
Your personality is fantastic, never see much gold.
But your enthusiasm makes your clips RUclips gold.
And I love the cameo actor, the Boxer dog 🐕 😂
Hi Chris, it's a collar stud, for attaching your collar to your collarless shirt, or as front buttons. Once it's clean, try turning it the milled edge it'll unscrew.
You are the best there is on yt, keep doing it and thanks,
Tom V
"Never underestimate a tiny crack", the 12yr old in me giggled like heck 😂🤣
I really enjoy these weekly updates instead of trying to make a separate video each time you go out, it's cool to see the variety!
That's a Great gift...is what that is...
You're probably one of the only original RUclipsrs I still watch now. You don't seem to try to hard to get views. Thanks for keeping it real bro
Its a fine line. I need views to pay my bills. But I also don't feel comfortable going down the path that many others have
The gold is great, watching you is better!
Hi Chris that's a collar stud. It's like a button that was used to keep celluloid collars in place. I'm sure you've seen shirts that don't have collars, well that's what shirts were like way back and they added the collars for their Sunday best clothes! Hope that helps
Thank you, Kerry. I didn't know about the add on collars. It makes sense with the limited resources and wardrobes to gussy up your shirt rather than keep an extra around. I didn't know for certain what it was. If I didn't see an answer in the comments I was going to suggest some kind of nicer button or cufflink. I truly do appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Similar things are popular in the American Southwest - you can buy silver and turquoise button covers that slip over your shirt buttons to spiff them up for fancy events. I have a box full of them collected over the years during trips to Santa Fe.
Everyday is a new experience get off the couch thank you Chris
I absolutely LOVE your uploads!! You, Gadzee (spelling?) and Mick are larger than life. Your personalities are so unique and full of character! The prospecting adventures contained in each episode are never dull or repetitive. It's like watching a full on production TV series! Just know all your hard work is appreciated!!
Spot on :)
That round little thing you found looked like a snap or button from a shirt. Great video!!👍👍😁
I was getting withdrawal symptoms waiting for your next video 😉. Sorry your back is playing up hope you feel better soon.
8 days is pushing the limits hey haha
Thank you for the years of entertainment and encouragement. Patience is the key. Stay on track getting that shiny. Love you And Thank you. May God bless you with abundance of Gold.

Best channel on YT !! Period .
The old man dribble comment was spot on and hilarious because I'm old and absolutely right 🤣 Keep up the great work and videos 👍
I've had back and neck pain most of my adult life. I finally found a physical therapist who taught me how to fix it myself. You probably know this, but maybe some of your viewers don't; repeated bad posture causes the synovial fluid, in your spinal column, to ooze out between your vertebrae and pinch nerves, causing the pain. Synovial fluid is there to protect your nerves. It has the consistency of jello, so it doesn't move very easily. To fix the pain, you must do the opposite of what caused it. In your case, Chris, you're hunched over a pan, you dig a lot with a curved back, you drive to the sights with curved back. To fix it, you have to do a lot of back bends, the other way, push that jello back through your vertebrae by doing it over and over. lay on your stomach and push up, keeping your pelvis on the ground. You can feel the pain change; adjust so you are chasing the pain. You know when you're close to getting the fluid pushed back into your spinal column, because it hurts like a M.F. It hurts so bad. But the minute the synovial fluid goes back into the column, the pan is instantly gone. It actually hurts for a few days because you've bruised the nerve, but that's how you fix it. There's a book Fix Your Own Back and Fix Your Own Neck, that tells you what to do.
Thank you for providing info about the book that I'm going to buy. Exercise and stretching does help with the spinal fluid so you more or less fix the shock absorber operation and helps raising and separating the discs which takes some of the pressure off of herniated discs, it also helps a lot with arthritis.
Another great day! I admire you so much for getting through your pain and illnesses to produce great videos like this one! ✌❤
Enjoyed seeing your adventures this week . Hope your back is on the mend soon .
Well Chris... this is an amazing video. So many different adventures all rolled into one. It's crazy how fast the creek's rise to such levels and again how quickly they drop. Nice results for a week of prospecting. Cheers and thanks for sharing your adventures.
By far the most entertaining and informative channel on RUclips.
Ledgend 👍
Looks like you’ll be heading back there soon!
Years ago when I did a lot of hiking in the bush, we used a stuff we called Bug Piss Off. It's equal parts olive oil and dettol. You keep it in a bottle and shake it up before you rub it on your arms, legs etc. You can also put it on your tent, pack, hat etc. Flies and mozzies hate the smell of dettol. Cheap and easy to make and lasts for years.
Love your videos Chris, keep yourself safe.
Interesting little idea! I hate mozzies!
We used to use baby oil and dettol for the horses!
Hey Chris, I have Multiple sclerosis and I couldn't agree with you more, when you were talking about when you have to deal with chronic pain all the time and you have a choice to sit at home and do nothing and be in pain or you can go out and do something you love and be in pain.
The choice is obvious, I'm super into rockhounding and mine exploring here in Arizona and I find engaging in something you love doing to be one of the best pain killers for me.
Suffering from a.back injury myself , I understand your pain and also I feel the same way, keep moving and do what you can to enjoy life and all that it has. Sometimes I overdo it and pay on pain but then I just get back at it as soon as I can. No reason to sit and and wallow in the pain it just makes it worse to me
Do what you can when you can is my motto.
Looked like a beautiful day to wander around in the hills .
Hi Chris! Love watching your videos! I live in Grass Valley CA. Where the 1849 gold rush happened. Lot of gold here still and looking forward to some of your techniques. Thanks for videos!

Pure joy to watch. Always lots of knowledge and interesting story told. Your voice is like friend to me, though its voice of professional narrator. Makes me eager to know more. Thankyou!
Awesome video here Chris. Very nice job on metal detecting several times in this video as well as gold panning and using the mini highbanker in the entire video here. Definitely a very good fine on the gold specimens.
Congratulations to the winner! 🎉😊

The thing you found is an antique collar button. Porcelain. It could be silver.

Tuxedo button
It is amazing that so much gold is there for the taking! I really hope that you get a giant sized nugget one of these days. Great video and commentary. Keep up the good work and take good care of your back.
I think what he needs is a piece of plywood under his mattress when my brother hurt his back he used plywood which I thought was just rubbish but when I hurt my back reluctantly I tried it and it worked greatly improving my back so much..
I can appreciate the work that went into today’s Gold recovery. Something people don’t realize till they try it.
Nice work 👏🏻
Thanks mate 👍
Up and at em. Fun won't find itself ❤️

Back pain is very draining. Hang in there Chris.
I’ve been loving the trips wrapped into one. Hope your back feels better. I had two injections yesterday for my pinched nerve.
Does using lidocaine patches help? Have you tried CBD patches or rubbing cream?
You did great on the pronunciation of the last name!! So cool. Sent the email earlier this morning.
Always enjoying watching your adventures. Want to get out and prospect for gold as well.
That was a really good video I like the fact that you keep on pushing to get your butt up and off of the couch and you just showed me that it is possible even with a bad back. Good job keep up the good work finding all that gold I'm gonna get myself motivated this weekend and go out and try and prospect it's Winter here in Idaho now it's cold. And your beard and everything is coming out great it is looking good.
Good job Chris 👌👊

Clunes ..Vic
Of all the critters; bears, mountain lions, snakes, etc, I'm only really afraid of ticks in Colorado.. oh and the nefarious two-legged predators... but I carry protection against those when alone in the woods..
I know what it’s like to have a painful back. It’s kyphosis I have and rib cage rests on my pelvis on the tight side. I couldn’t prospect but privileged to go prospecting via your channel and videos. You ended up with decent gold so you perseverance paid off. Just take care of yr back
Always a pleasure to stop by and see some beautiful CANDY 🍭.!! 😁👍🙏
That thing you found with the white rock/glass is a cufflink!
Wow, that was some raging water. Another great episode.
Well, on day two, between the hat, the boots, and the shorts, you sure are one styling gold prospector!
That looks like a fancy button stud got a cufflink or buttonhole.
wow, it's very easy to hunt for gold there, friends.. greetings from Indonesia, nice to visit friends. don't forget to come back..
That’s a small Press Stud, maybe for a hat strap or belt attachment, or could be for a piece of clothing. Great video as usual Chris. Still love your work, man
Old man's dribble got me laughing cheers Chris
I believe it's a shirt button you found.
I love your videos, particularly the points of view about life and experience you share. Thanks.
Love your videos :)
Hi! Just wanted to say, I am enjoying your videos! I'm learning a lot. I am planning to try my hand next spring. See if there's anything in my area. Hi from NS, Canada.
Have fun!
Incredible! You find more in one pan than I find in a whole year
11👍's up thank you for sharing
Thank you too
The item you found is an antique button. Kind a fancy to be found in the gold fields!
My guess would be a cufflink
It'd been the general consensus so far
you have great fun and get a workout at the same time!!! good for you
Hmm, maybe like the rivet on a pair of jeans, or something thicker like leather with a white onyx cabochon I'm thinking
nice vidio
Chris I know exactly what those are they are buttons from the old timers that's a right nice specimen of 1. As always good luck and God Bless.
I have the same gold fox sluice! Where did you get the Jarvine riffle for it?
That little rivet looks like the kind of thing they used to put on the ends of shirt collars ... Ferns greeting Gadzee was like "we went out yesterday and the mozzies were like this ...alll day gadz" ..
I wonder about your couch...I suspect it might be possible to find a little gold down the back of your cushions...but not the point. I am also a do stuff instead of sitting on my rear sort of person, there are still days when I don't have a choice but given any leeway at all I take it and go do something productive. (I watch youtube in the "I don't have a choice times")
That's pretty accurate
