    Hi Chris, it's a collar stud, for attaching your collar to your collarless shirt, or as front buttons. Once it's clean, try turning it the milled edge it'll unscrew.
    You are the best there is on yt, keep doing it and thanks,

    Hi Chris that's a collar stud. It's like a button that was used to keep celluloid collars in place. I'm sure you've seen shirts that don't have collars, well that's what shirts were like way back and they added the collars for their Sunday best clothes! Hope that helps

    • @coloradowaterdog3706
      @coloradowaterdog3706 Год назад +2

      Thank you, Kerry. I didn't know about the add on collars. It makes sense with the limited resources and wardrobes to gussy up your shirt rather than keep an extra around. I didn't know for certain what it was. If I didn't see an answer in the comments I was going to suggest some kind of nicer button or cufflink. I truly do appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

      Similar things are popular in the American Southwest - you can buy silver and turquoise button covers that slip over your shirt buttons to spiff them up for fancy events. I have a box full of them collected over the years during trips to Santa Fe.

    I've had back and neck pain most of my adult life. I finally found a physical therapist who taught me how to fix it myself. You probably know this, but maybe some of your viewers don't; repeated bad posture causes the synovial fluid, in your spinal column, to ooze out between your vertebrae and pinch nerves, causing the pain. Synovial fluid is there to protect your nerves. It has the consistency of jello, so it doesn't move very easily. To fix the pain, you must do the opposite of what caused it. In your case, Chris, you're hunched over a pan, you dig a lot with a curved back, you drive to the sights with curved back. To fix it, you have to do a lot of back bends, the other way, push that jello back through your vertebrae by doing it over and over. lay on your stomach and push up, keeping your pelvis on the ground. You can feel the pain change; adjust so you are chasing the pain. You know when you're close to getting the fluid pushed back into your spinal column, because it hurts like a M.F. It hurts so bad. But the minute the synovial fluid goes back into the column, the pan is instantly gone. It actually hurts for a few days because you've bruised the nerve, but that's how you fix it. There's a book Fix Your Own Back and Fix Your Own Neck, that tells you what to do.

    • @michaelfercik3691
      @michaelfercik3691 Год назад +1

      Thank you for providing info about the book that I'm going to buy. Exercise and stretching does help with the spinal fluid so you more or less fix the shock absorber operation and helps raising and separating the discs which takes some of the pressure off of herniated discs, it also helps a lot with arthritis.

    Years ago when I did a lot of hiking in the bush, we used a stuff we called Bug Piss Off. It's equal parts olive oil and dettol. You keep it in a bottle and shake it up before you rub it on your arms, legs etc. You can also put it on your tent, pack, hat etc. Flies and mozzies hate the smell of dettol. Cheap and easy to make and lasts for years.
    Love your videos Chris, keep yourself safe.

    Hey Chris, I have Multiple sclerosis and I couldn't agree with you more, when you were talking about when you have to deal with chronic pain all the time and you have a choice to sit at home and do nothing and be in pain or you can go out and do something you love and be in pain.
    The choice is obvious, I'm super into rockhounding and mine exploring here in Arizona and I find engaging in something you love doing to be one of the best pain killers for me.

  • @christopherdoyle2955
    @christopherdoyle2955 Год назад

    Suffering from a.back injury myself , I understand your pain and also I feel the same way, keep moving and do what you can to enjoy life and all that it has. Sometimes I overdo it and pay on pain but then I just get back at it as soon as I can. No reason to sit and and wallow in the pain it just makes it worse to me
    Do what you can when you can is my motto.
