  • You have you new 4Runner and it's time for a lift and tires! If you're like us you'll be tackling the install on your own. We've made this step by step install video for you to help make the process a little more simple and answer questions you might have. Eibach was an easy choice for us as we run their suspension on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator, 2012 RAM 1500, 2006 4Runner, and we love it. These are the same basic instructions you can use on most trucks with IFS. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments below!

    i bought the same lift for my 5th gen trail edition. Eibach say 2.75 inches lift for the front on lowest setting n 1 inch for the rear. love them so far. did me great in colorado

      @@TrailBendersOverland so is it a 2 or 2.75 inch lift in the front? 2.75 is too much for me. I would buy this tomorrow if it truly is 2 inches in the front and 1 inch in the rear. I can't find a definitive answer to this. Thanks

      @@stephenruether8216the highest ring gives 2.75 inch lift. The lowest is stock height. These guys are using lift springs. So they are getting their lift from the springs and not the shocks. If you buy the shocks and use your stock springs you will have to put the ring at the height height to get 2.75 inch lift.

  • @rabbitwranglerrabbitry6265
    @rabbitwranglerrabbitry6265 6 месяцев назад

    Hey guys you should clarify the lift is from the springs. As in if they used the stock springs they would get the 2.75 lift by moving the ring up. They are using lift springs which are meant for the stage two kit.

    At what point do you need new control arms? I was just going to do about a 1” in front with 275s. Not going to make mine into a heavy overland rig. Just something for moderate off road/hunting/ camping.

    • @TrailBendersOverland
      @TrailBendersOverland  4 года назад +1

      richard wharton You can safely go up to 2.5-2.75 inches before needing upper control arms. At 1” you are totally safe.

      It’s funny you mention box. I went to Death Valley with a group and a Tacoma there had fox shocks with remote reservoirs . The girlfriend of that guy drove my 4Runner for a while so I could film and she said my 4Runner was noticeably more comfortable on the washboard roads.

      @@TrailBendersOverland well that's promising. Mine is a stock v6 and I won't be adding weight how do you think that'd compare to your heavier truck on the same springs. Bouncy? My town is literally a pothole. Thanks for advice btw

      @@olbabybeard It’ll be stiffer than my truck. It’s definitely not loose with no weight. But I don’t think any lift will makes it a particularly softer ride unless you get some soft springs.

    Hello! I have an eibach lift kit for a lexus gx470 , will that system work on a 5th gen 4runner aswell!??? I have the kdss .

      @TrailBendersOverland  4 года назад

      Where do we go now? Eibach sells a 5th gen kit. You can 100% use it with KDSS. Pretty sure there’s just a few bolts to loosen to make the install go smoother with KDSS.
      If you were asking if it will direct fit.. I feel like it would but can’t say for sure myself.
