I feel like such a newbie. I've been doing this stuff on Steinberg Nuendo for PC for years but logic and Apple is all new to me lol. Thanks for this very helpful video😅
Just a quick note from a PC Reaper user, and now apple (ipad logic) im using my old pc Bluetooth keyboard. Go to ipad settings>keyboard>hardware keyboard>modifier keys>control key and change to Command. If this is obvious sorry im a newbie on the 🍎
Hey Pete, have you tried the move playhead shortcut. Assume it's the same as mac.. So.... to move right , and if you want move in chunks of 8 bars then go with SHIFT < or SHIFT >
Note that there are a number of non-keyboard devices that can act like keyboards. I use an Xsonic Airstep with buttons mapped to space, R, return, and ⌘Z. I find this really helpful when recording guitar parts.
I’m using the Apple Magic Keyboard and when I hold the command key it’ll show me the shortcuts on any other app but it wont on Logic Pro for some reason?
Have my logi keyboard and mouse hooked up via wireless usb - all keyboard short cuts working in Logic EXCEPT…Ctrl + Z, Ctrl + C/ V, and the delete key. Any ideas? Thanks!
@@PeteJohnsMusic A genius on the Audiobus forum solved this - go into the iPad settings/General/Hardware keyboard/modifier keys. From there I was able to assign my keyboard’s Ctrl key to ‘Command’ - done! And I also worked out that rather than using the Delete key to perform a delete, I use backspace. Hope this helps someone else!

Coming from the Mac, Apple needs to enable the ‘K’ key for metronome toggle, as per the desktop version. Not sure why that was left out.
Yeah, I'm hoping this is a "first take" on this. Seems that keyboard shortcut cross-compatibility should be pretty simple.
Hoping for more shortcuts in the future command+T doesn't work anymore
Yeah. It’s a little limited compared to the Mac version.

Fantastic job creating this series, learnng a lot from you. Thanks again!
Awesome! We will return to Logic Pro iPad again soon.
I'm more and more impressed with LPiP the more I use it. One correction- the Alt key serves the same function as the Command key, not the Windows key.
Oh really? In GarageBand iOS it’s the Windows key… at least it was back when I last looked at this. 😀
Thanks for the info.

Oh cool! Great tip. 🙏😎
Is there any way to tab to markers? I'd like to use this to run my bands live set and that's how we switch songs manually on logic x
Yeah I don’t believe so. Unfortunately Logic iPad doesn’t have all the same shortcuts as Mac. logicipad.com/.

Yeah, so seems they've left that and quite a few others that Mac users love out of version 1.0. We can hope that they add more in for future versions.
@@PeteJohnsMusicYou can always use your finger I suppose :)

Sure hope they add these, frankly the ability to import custom key commands to do anything like in Logic desktop.

That’s really odd?! Try turning off, disconnecting the keyboard, then turning back on.

Try the Windows or ALT key instead. Often is doesn’t quite map perfectly.

Opt+Cmd+P - Notes, Opt+C - Colors, Shift+N - Rename Cell.
Nice! These work on iPad? Alas I’ve been burned by some Logic Mac shortcuts that just don’t work on iPad.
@@PeteJohnsMusicNo. Sorry. Desktop. But it might work on the iPad. I haven't used the iPad yet.
Does GarageBand have keyboard shortcuts too?
Sure does! Here’s my video all about it. ruclips.net/video/ASJJaBX2HNU/видео.html
