Hallo, hier legen wir als Techniker unser Veto ein! Uns ist es sehr wichtig, dass ein WENIG Schmiermittel auf das Schraubengewinde kommt. Macht man das nicht, dann neigen die Schrauben zum "rattern" - DAS verfälscht das Drehmoment. Hierbei gehen wir davon aus, dass das Gewinde grundsätzlich in Ordnung ist. Diese Diskussion ist aber ohnehin akademisch, weil bei diesem Motor Dehnschrauben eingesetzt werden welche in den letzten Schritten mit Drehwinkeln angezogen werden - und 90° sind immer 90° egal wie fest man dreht, da gibt es kein Verfälschen! Eines aber ist richtig und wichtig - Zuviel Öl macht den Gewindegang dicht, das kann zu Problemen führen wenn die Luft im Sackloch nicht entweichen kann (klingt komisch - is aber so). Daher, Schmiermittel von hoher Viskosität mit Augenmaß verwenden. Gruß vom Service Team
good video, but 3 errors, one: NOT releasing the valve spring tension via the adjusters before removing the mounting bolts for the rockers.( tension is released too rapidly/unpredictably); two: NEVER EVER!! use a TORQUE wrench to LOOSEN bolts only to tighten them ( use a breaker bar)- the torque to loosen a fastener is near enough to DOUBLE the torque set on the wrench when it was tightened !!- so is well above what the Torque wrench is designed for (esp. if it is the lever bending type - a bar above the handle of the wrench), could break it, a very expensive and sensitive tool. three: even when he does use the wrench properly he holds it one handed, MUST use a support hand on the socket end , so as to prevent 'jerking' the wrench- causes the mechanism to 'trigger' at a lower torque then the one set ( jerky movement applies the set torque for an instant, setting off the wrench), whereas the PROPER way is to approach the torque slow and steady that way when it does trigger it is at the proper setting.

Definitely you´re right on point two - this is what we mention as well and we didn´t realized during the cut of the movie. Point three is discussable - how you reach the final torque is mostly not of highest importance as far as you not overtorque and you are sensitive in handling - the rest of the discussion is academic and became importance if all torque wreches will have good quality - as far as this tools (how you describe) are placed in tool boxes with heavy tools on top (this you can see in all countries) we are talking about the last 2%. Hello, normally the angle measurement tool is not so important if you have 90 degree steps - this is easy to guess. More difficult with other angles. My recommendation - with a little experience you can feel the moment the bolts going from elastic to plastic deformation, typical for stretch bolts. This point you must reach and overturn a little, than you are on the safe side. That means, follow the instructions as god as you can, and the go further until the bolts seems to be a little weak, turn further for some degrees and than stop. This should be good in most cases - BUT of course following the instructions exactly is the better way :-) Kind regards from our Service Team

The tool we use at 11.00 is for measuring the tightening angle - in that case combined with a small torque multiplier (find in www), so torqueing down the massive bolts is more easy! Rudolf Lange selbst im neuesten Euro 6 des d20 werden keine hydraulischen stössel verwendet. Mir ist derzeit kein man Motor bekannt bei dem hydrostössel Verwendung finden. Ein planen ist auch sehr selten erforderlich am d2066' hier wird auch sehr viel übertrieben. Ich zb würde niemals mit diesem drehmimentverstärker arbeiten. Die 3x90grad erreicht man auch wunderbar mit einem langen Hebel und wesentlich schneller.. Mit dem Verstärker dreht man sich zu Tode. Die fühlerlehre wird auch nicht schön flach untergelegt ist für einen instandgesetzten Motor zu schlaff eingestellt... evb wurde scheinbar auch nicht mit der federkraft eingestellt... Aber dieses Video soll ja nur die groben Züge zeigen..
Hallo, ja das ist richtig, wir zeigen die generellen Arbeitsschritte und wissen dabei natürlich, dass jeder Monteur seine eigene Arbeitsweise und auch seine eigenen Tricks hat. Dies resultiert aus Spezialwissen und Erfahrung - das bleibt von uns daher auch unkommentiert.Hohe Drehmomente erreicht man selbstverständlich auch mit Hebel und Muskelkraft - insofern, jeder nach seinem Gusto! Hallo Andreas, in diesem Fall habe ich Glück und kann die perfekte Antwort geben. Der Kollege ist KFZ-Meister und hat auf Mercedes gelernt. Im Laufe seiner beruflichen Karriere ist er heute bei Elring tätig, hier als Produktmanager. Grundsätzlich ist es so, dass wir den Kontakt zur Werkstatt halten wollen und versuchen, dass wir auch Erfahrung einbringen können. Die meisten der Kollegen in der Technik, d.h. Trainer, Produktmanager, etc. haben einen Werkstatthintergrund und sind Mechaniker. Viele davon haben im Laufe der persönlichen Entwicklung den Meisterbrief gemacht und sind dann in die Industrie gegangen. Zusammen mit unseren Entwicklungsingenieuren entsteht so ein großer Pool an Erfahrung und Knowhow - dieses lassen wir beim Erstellen der Drehbücher für unsere Videos einfließen. The movie is just to show how to handle the gasket and to show the importance of the instruction. Ich habe es nicht anders gelernt. Man muss aber dazu sagen, es gibt viele Drehmomentschlüssel, mit denen man Schrauben auch problemlos lösen kann. Dann sind welche Drehmomentschlüssel, die nur rechtsrum knacken, nicht aber beim lösen. Diese klinken sich beim lösen aus und können dann als "Lange Ratsche" verwendet werden...
Hallo Tobi, das kann gut sein - der Markt der Drehmomentschlüssel ist, ehrlich gesagt, nicht unser Kernthema. Gerrit hat nicht ganz unrecht wenn man das Thema generell betrachtet. Insofern, Danke für die Anmerkung die hier noch klarer aufzeigt, dass es auch bei den Drehmomentschlüsseln verschiedene Technologien gibt. @@elringdasoriginal Es gibt auch ein sogenanntes Lösemoment welches nicht überstiegen werden sollte, solange die Löse Kraft unter dem eingestellten wert liegt spricht nichts dagegen diesen zum Lösen zu verwenden. Sehr Hilfreich im Bereich von Glühkerzen 😉

War das ein sehr alter Motor, ohne Hydrostößel, oder verwendent man die beim LKW MAN-Motor nicht?
Hallo Herr Lange, inzwischen gibt es bei nahezu allen LKW Fabrikaten hydraulisch regulierte Ventilspielausgleiche. Dennoch ist bei einigen Motoren eine Grundeinstellung nötig.Wir möchten dieses Thema hier im Film nicht ausklammern - ohne dies dabei zum zentralen Thema zu machen.Gruß vom Service Team
Rudolf Lange selbst im neuesten Euro 6 des d20 werden keine hydraulischen stössel verwendet. Mir ist derzeit kein man Motor bekannt bei dem hydrostössel Verwendung finden. Ein planen ist auch sehr selten erforderlich am d2066' hier wird auch sehr viel übertrieben. Ich zb würde niemals mit diesem drehmimentverstärker arbeiten. Die 3x90grad erreicht man auch wunderbar mit einem langen Hebel und wesentlich schneller.. Mit dem Verstärker dreht man sich zu Tode. Die fühlerlehre wird auch nicht schön flach untergelegt ist für einen instandgesetzten Motor zu schlaff eingestellt... evb wurde scheinbar auch nicht mit der federkraft eingestellt... Aber dieses Video soll ja nur die groben Züge zeigen..
Hallo, ja das ist richtig, wir zeigen die generellen Arbeitsschritte und wissen dabei natürlich, dass jeder Monteur seine eigene Arbeitsweise und auch seine eigenen Tricks hat. Dies resultiert aus Spezialwissen und Erfahrung - das bleibt von uns daher auch unkommentiert.Hohe Drehmomente erreicht man selbstverständlich auch mit Hebel und Muskelkraft - insofern, jeder nach seinem Gusto! Viel Spaß beim Schrauben und Gruß vom Service Team

Hallo Andreas, in diesem Fall habe ich Glück und kann die perfekte Antwort geben. Der Kollege ist KFZ-Meister und hat auf Mercedes gelernt. Im Laufe seiner beruflichen Karriere ist er heute bei Elring tätig, hier als Produktmanager. Grundsätzlich ist es so, dass wir den Kontakt zur Werkstatt halten wollen und versuchen, dass wir auch Erfahrung einbringen können. Die meisten der Kollegen in der Technik, d.h. Trainer, Produktmanager, etc. haben einen Werkstatthintergrund und sind Mechaniker. Viele davon haben im Laufe der persönlichen Entwicklung den Meisterbrief gemacht und sind dann in die Industrie gegangen. Zusammen mit unseren Entwicklungsingenieuren entsteht so ein großer Pool an Erfahrung und Knowhow - dieses lassen wir beim Erstellen der Drehbücher für unsere Videos einfließen. Hello Davlet, the instructions with torques, angles and sequence are added to all gaskets - individual for engine and gasket. The movie is just to show how to handle the gasket and to show the importance of the instruction. We don´t want to give figures, because we cannot make sure that anybody understand it wrong and took this for a wrong engine. Same reason why we do not write the exact engine type. Hallo, die Schrauben werden geölt um Reibungsverluste bei der Beaufschlagung der Drehmomente zu reduzieren. Zudem soll ein geschmeidiges Eindrehen sicher gestellt werden. Außerdem sind bei den hohen Momenten keine Überlastungsspitzen erwünscht. All dies kann durch eine kleine Menge Öl positiv beeinflusst werden. Mit freundlichem Gruß von unserem Service Team

Ich habe es nicht anders gelernt. Man muss aber dazu sagen, es gibt viele Drehmomentschlüssel, mit denen man Schrauben auch problemlos lösen kann. Dann sind welche Drehmomentschlüssel, die nur rechtsrum knacken, nicht aber beim lösen. Diese klinken sich beim lösen aus und können dann als "Lange Ratsche" verwendet werden...
Hallo Tobi, das kann gut sein - der Markt der Drehmomentschlüssel ist, ehrlich gesagt, nicht unser Kernthema. Gerrit hat nicht ganz unrecht wenn man das Thema generell betrachtet. Insofern, Danke für die Anmerkung die hier noch klarer aufzeigt, dass es auch bei den Drehmomentschlüsseln verschiedene Technologien gibt. Wir werden trotzdem in Zukunft genauer darauf achten, dass Werkzeuge entsprechend Ihres Standard-Einsatzzweckes verwendet werden. DANKE EUCH... Viele Grüße von unserem Service Team

Es gibt auch ein sogenanntes Lösemoment welches nicht überstiegen werden sollte, solange die Löse Kraft unter dem eingestellten wert liegt spricht nichts dagegen diesen zum Lösen zu verwenden. Sehr Hilfreich im Bereich von Glühkerzen 😉

Hello the instructions for the CHG are included to our gaskets. We do not mention this specs in the movies, because these are just example videos. It can easily be that in one type of engine different CHG are in use - with different instructions. So better to leave it open in the movie - and to clarify individually during the repair. It's better do it slowly but precisely than the opposite. Mechanical engineering is not a time contest.
LOL … I guess you never worked as a professional mechanic on that kind of stuff. For working on such complex parts he is damn fast where any hand movment is on spot. I personally would have taken hours of reading and asking for help.

Hallo Frank Schenke, bei dem Motor handelt es sich um einen MAN D2066 - für diesen Motor bieten wir aufgrund der technischen Gegebenheiten (steuerseitig) eine ZKD für die Reparaturlösung an. Diese hat eine größere Einbaudicke um ein ggf. nötiges Abplanmaß auszugleichen. Grüße vom Service Team
