Kudos! i love that you got so angry when you found the plastic bottles stuck in the cliff face. waste management is a real problem! i thought you were going to put it in the backpack and throw it in a dumpster later lol but i know it is difficult to think in the heat of the moment specially when there's a dangerous hike to complete. we need systematic solutions around it anyway. even something super simple can help - a group of researchers put up signs saying "please don't litter" at the muir woods forest reserve in SF and there was a 50% increase in trash put in bin vs thrown randomly. you've traveled a lot, what do you think should be done about waste in these beautiful biodiversity hotspots?
