- As I was pulling old videos for the intro to this one, I came across one labelled "2,500 subscriber bonus" or something. And it was only about 4-5 years ago and now it's 10x that number. It's just a number, and it doesn't really mean anything more than any other number, but it's still staggering and very much appreciated.

Congratulations now what got me started in to tin whistle was the song the parting glass, amazing song, but your reviews got me started on your channel particularly the Clark sweet tone and the Lir tin whistle videos. Thank you for sharing your passion and knowledge with us.
Hello - congratulations, your comment was selected to win the giveaway! Please connect with me via email (my contact is at whistletutor.com) or DM on any of the socials (@Whistletutor pretty much everywhere) and I'll get the package sent your way - cheers!
This is amazing sorry I am slow to reply I have emailed you.
The video that made me sub was: ruclips.net/video/VsVdPekOc2Q/видео.html
The way you break down tunes and slowly add more ornamentation just clicks with my brain. lol There are lots of teachers on this platform for the whistle but for me, thanks to autism and ADHD, yours are the only ones that I seem to be able to learn from. Regardless of the giveaway, thank you for staying on here and not just letting the channel die. I hope one day I can play a duet with ya! Be really cool to meet you. Thanks again for all you've done!
Howdy, congrats! I've enjoyed the whistle reviews and comparisons you do. They feel honest and unbiased. :-)
I have found your channel when I was looking for a whistle comparison before buying the first one. Sticked around since then for the masterfully played tunes and tutorials.
Congratulations on 25k, my favorite video are the tin whistle exercises I need all the help I can get
Been following you for years, I think it started for me trying to figure out ornaments. Thanks for your dedication to us! Your work has helped me become a better musician
Congrats! Your rendition of the Kesh is what made me stay. I hope someday to have even a little bit of your perfect ornamentation!
I wanted to watch one movie and I stayed here. That was four years ago :)
still around because you're the best around. chill, thorough breakdowns, and when you play normally at the end it's like magic cause my whistles never sound that good. Thanks for the great lessons, wish I could take some from you locally!
Hey, Sean! Congrats on the milestone!! I found you the day I picked up a Milligan D at a flea market and had no clue what I was doing! You taught me Fraher's Jig and I was hooked!! I didn't think I would like the short form reels, but you pack alot into a little time!! Your personality, teaching style, musical knowledge and high quality video production skills are what set you apart, keep up the great work!! I actually won the last Lir D you gave away, so I will bow out of this ocntest. Good luck, all, it is a great whistle!
Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you. There has not been one specific video that got me to stick around. Rather it was the series for beginners. What's kept me going is the new consistent content. You're amazing
Fairly new to the channel but dang do I wish I had found it much earlier. Your take on a favorite tune of mine, Hector the Hero, was what really got me watching.
Congratulations! It's long overdue and fully deserved! ❤
For me, I think it was "Tin Whistle beginner exercices"... not sure ! But certainely it was about beginner's tricks or something.
I apreciate the way you teach, You very evidently put real effort into your content and it defenetly hints at what kind of person you are. Your family and friends are lucky to have a lad like u around, man! Keep it up and keep blessing us with your amazing content! 🤗
Last September my wife bought me a Walton's D whistle in Mystic Connecticut, so naturally I went to RUclips to figure out how to play it. I spent some time scrubbing through videos and eventually I ended up on your Star of Munster lesson. Even though I had no tin whistle experience before this (I played ragtime guitar and cajun fiddle, totally ignorant to traditional Irish music), I could tell you played very authentically, unlike most others on RUclips, and I immediately, really loved that tune, but I couldn't yet play it, so I decided to watch your beginner lessons. Afterwards, I learned this very song, The Lilting Banshee, made sure I could play it all the way through, and then I went more into learning ornaments, also with the help of your videos. I haven't used any other teachers or online tuition, save maybe for reading some old forum posts, except your videos, and even though I can learn most songs I ear, I still use your videos to find great new (to me) tunes to figure out! Now, I'm looking to pick up the pipes or flute once I feel really satisfied with my whistle skills!
congratulations! came and subbed for The Foggy Dew, but i've liked all of your stuff :D
I was trying to think of the first video and don't really remember. That's irrelevant it seems as all of your content is outstanding and as still a very novice player, I have learned so much. Your work and channel are so greatly appreciated.
Congrats on the milestone! I started watching from your whistle comparison video. Great stuff and I’m looking forward to many more videos!
Congrats on 25K. I came to your channel as a beginner and found you as one of the best if not the best whistle teachers on here. I stayed and learned a bunch of tunes. Currently I’m working on the highland laddie version you taught.
A couple of months ago I bought a Generation whistle so that I could get back into the tin whistle after a 15 year break! (I learned in school as a child. A very common experience here in Ireland). I sought out a tutorial for Sí Bheag Sí Mhór and happened upon yours. A deep dive into your channel revealed you’ve got so much high quality content so I stuck around. I’ve also been recommending your channel to learners who buy tin whistles from the music store I work in.
Love the Sligo jersey! Glad you had a good time on your most recent trip here.
Same experience here, only it's been 8ish years for me since primary school. I've really grown a new appreciation for it since. When you're taught it with a bunch of other squealing children, it's hard to see the beauty of the instrument in those moments Hahaha.
Congratulations! I stuck around because I enjoy your whistle reviews.
Thanks for the lessons,I like the bagpipe influences
The beginners guide to ornamentals!!
Congrats on the 25k! I think I started watching your videos when I was trying to learn The Humors of Glendart jig. I also love the ones not related to tunes like session etiquette, learning by ear, how to arrange sets, etc. Thanks for all your work!
Congrats! Love your ornamentation skill-building exercise videos. 😊
Hi,many thanks for your help really appreciated.
Congratulations, 25k is amazing! Your beginner exercizes did it for me!
I stick around to learn new techniques. Congratulations on 25,000!
Congrats on 25K! Thanks for teaching an absolute beginner.
I AM a new subscriber very amazing giveaway
Congratulations! I got pulled in by the getting started with tin whiskly video!
I started following you for the whistle comparisons and the general whistle and flute lesson you made, cheers!
Found your beginner series when searching for some beginner tips for playing whistles. Thanks for all the tips and congrats!
All your ornament videos! You've got them master and really teach them so well!
Saw the Beginner videos and they caught me and I've been subscribing ever since.
Just order my first whistle and just found you !
I like The Blarney Pilgrim. Some day I will play like you!
"The best beginner tin whistles" my first video :)
I first heard your short, Lady Ann Montgomery. Love your channel! Congrats on 25,000. 😊
I’m just starting. Found you and really enjoy your presentation style! Congrats on 25k!
I like watching the whistle reviews. I recently got back into watching more of your videos after the Clarke revisit.
Congratulations. Learning the tin whistle from the Philippines
Stuck around cause I am learning the whistle myself! Congrats on the 25K!
Congrats, you deserved , i loved to learn to play with you The Blarney Pilgrim Jig, one of my favorite.
Congrats stuck around because I started learning the whistle few weeks ago and following your series
Congratulations! Found your channel looking for beginner lessons and ornament breakdowns. really like videos on Humours of Tulla and Morrison's Jig
I think it was the Sherlock Holmes reel , the Congress . I can sorta almost play it. I loved your Concertina Reel a few weeks back . Awesome playing .
Loving all the videos, just started learning and glad I found your channel 😊
Cheap tin whistle comparisons my favorite video, cuz that just the one I have 😂
Down By The Sally Gardens was my entry point to whistle world, thanks!1111
Thanks for all the great videos Sean. Truly inspiring to watch and listen to a beautiful player. I am looking forward to the content as you gain your next 25k subscribers. Blessings to you and yours....
I was searching for 'The Foggy Dew' for tin whistle and found it on your channel. I also love your Flute playing very much.
Congratulations on 25k! When I started playing tin whistle, I was searching for best options, decent quality whistles for someone who just started. So snce then, whistle comparisons.
Basically all the comparing whistles videos. Really helps when I go shopping and have to make a decision.
All your ornamentation --HOW WHEN AND WHY took my playing up several notches and I enjoyed playing a lot more too. Thank You
I’m still around Sean because your videos are extremely professionally produced, and I love them all. You’ve been there from the start for me and it’s your videos which helped me truly progress. I’m fascinated with your dedication to not only the whistle but to teaching and creating high quality content. Your generosity is inspiring :)
Congrats! I starter with your 10 beginner lessons two years ago, and stuck around sińce.
Found you looking for reviews and beginner tips about 3 years ago, subscribed because I love your playing and your manner of presentation. Thanks for sharing your talent
I actually watched one of your videos comparing Dixon whistles but one of my favorite was your Whiskey in the Jar video. I like that song, too!
Congratulations. Im pretty sure it was Jim Wards jig was the first vid of yours i watched. Love your tiktoks and longer form youtube stuff.
Congratulations on 25K- I don't remember which video it was specifically that made me subscribe, but once I watched a few I was hooked :) I like your teaching style and the filming
I started playing about two years ago, and since then I suck up all whistle-videos on YT like a sponge...
Good man ! I started by looking through all your flute and whistle tips, stayed for the good tunes !
Congratulations on 25000! Here is for many more.
To me it was the Piper's Grip video. I had been struggling with my Low C for a while... and to be honest, I keep struggling, but it gave me a really nice understanding of it and it was really good fun to watch. Keep it up!
Hey! I've been playing whistle for a couple of years now. Thanks for doing your videos! I've stuck around for the whistle songs you post. I like getting to see the different whistles. Also I like that you use the Humphrey whistles. I can't find many videos with Humphrey whistles. God bless! Keep up the good work good sir!
I have been enjoying your videos for years, thank you! I like how you have turned into such a high-quality video maker with your equipment while maintaining your chill attitude. Keep going.
Congrats on hitting 25,000! The first one of your videos that caught my eye was your basic Irish flute video. I instantly subscribed now found your give-away! Count me in!
Honestly, my subscription started with the beginner lessons - literally Lesson 1! I've gotten a lot from this channel and have really appreciated it.
I've been looking into getting a higher quality whistle lately.
I found your videos trying to work on The Rolling Waves. Love the content!
Congrats!!! I have discovered your channel when I was looking for some help to learn a tune (can't remember what tune exactly). It helped me sorting out what I did wrong, so I have suscribed 🙏
Your videos helped me when i was starting out... the way you teach and breakdown tunes and ornaments is just great for any level of player.
Nice! I've started with your channel with "Out On The Ocean" I think! Always enjoyed your content.
Congratulations on 25k!
Love your stuff, got me playing both whistle and flute. Not sure if this video kept me watching, but I received my flute for Christmas, and have fond memories of watching "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" for the entire holiday break.
Thanks again for all you do.
Congrats on 25Κ Subs! This channel helped me a lot to choose my first whistle but also to learn my first techniques, years ago, when I was still rookie to the instrument.
I found your channel a few years ago during lockdown. That's when I thought about learning tin whistle. Find all your videos amazing, so thanks for that, and congratulations on the 25k subs
Congrats! I definitely wouldn’t have stuck with Irish music and the tin whistle threw the real beginner stage if it wasn’t for your very clear instruction and beautiful playing of your own! Thanks :)
I've been watching you for about 3 months, I have a (mainly irish) folk band with my 3 siblings, and love finding inspirations, tipps, tricks and new tunes in your videos :)
Also, I love playing along since they are perfectly made for that and makes it really easy learning new stuff!
Thanks :)
The video with the song Rocky Road to Dublin made me subscribe and check your videos from time to time. My main instrument is the alto saxophone, but I love how easier the whistle is to carry around.
25K is a big deal! Great job! I had picked up an Original Clarke and the difficulty I had blowing that whistle I thought was due to my ineptness. Your 'Raglan Road' tutorial allowed me to gain some confidence playing a "complex" tune and another reccomending the SweetTone really got me started. I'm still calling myself a beginner but I'm building quite a playlist.
The video of yours that got me into your channel was actually a performance, it was you and Frances and Fiachra doing The Humours of Ballymanus. That’s my favorite version of that tune I bet, I’ve listened to that video at least 100 times
I stumbled upon your channel because you reviewed 3D printed ones. Since then I watched a couple more of your videos and really like them 👍 Please keep up your great work 👌
Congratulations! On looking through all the tin whistle channels for tutorials, as I am a beginner, I kept coming back to yours. The way you explain and play, makes it easy to learn. Thanks you.
Congrats ! Advanced technical videos (such as improvisation and variations) made me subscribe to your channel...from France! Good job for the tin whistle which is the instrument with the best ratio simplicity/sophistication (in my humble opinion).
I'm still around because I enjoy listening to you play, and I really like how you explain it. I can usually listen to what you do and say, and then play it on my silver flute (I haven't been brave enough to try a whistle....yet).
Hi, studied in Durham, UK a couple of years ago and bought then a freadog starter Set, which i loved, but i didn't get better until i found your tutorials. So thanks for your great advices! Now i play a Tony Dixon, which i love. Your Video is awesone by the way. This is one of the few tunes i am able to play on the accordeon!!! Greetings and congrats from the southwest of Germany!🎉
Why I love to watch your videos is mainly your ability to teach simply. It feels like you're just sitting down with a friend and sharing your love of music. Thank you for what you do. 😊
I found your channel looking for practice tips. I finally subscribed when i watched your video reviewing Killarney whistles! Also want to say one of my favorite videos you did was parting glass. Thanks for the great content.
Congratulations! Im following the channel about 4 years and found it because of your exercises and ornamentation lessons. Loved it 😍 also i like to watch you flute lessons and real sound whistle comparsion 😊
Congrats on the 25,000 subscribers! I can't really remember which actual video it was, but it was one of the flute ornamentation videos that I likely subscribed to your channel while watching it. The flute is my main instrument I'm learning, but I do dabble with a really cheap tin whistle. I'm thinking of just taking the whistle on my travels instead of the flute for convenience. Anyway, thanks for putting these videos out for us!
Oh I just love your explanation and easy to understand demo. I would love your merchandise and wish your band would visit Australia. ❤ I threw my cheap generation D against the wall the other day as it tends to squeak in higher register.😳😳🤔😱
Nothing to do with my playing style🤔🤔😆
I started with good ol' 5 Tips for Beginners and kept up the journey from there. Lessons are very well explained and at a good level for new players
Very nice and detailed tut! Congrats on 25k! I'm a hobby fluter based on the westcoast of Norway, and I gotta say its you that help me stay motivated to keep playing and challenging myself to play more. And I am luckily getting to play more with others, and that also comes with the want for a more pro whistle. So, I would love me a LIR D, and a CD:)
The slide show brought back some happy memories, especially the one with the Irish flag on the wall behind you. My introduction to taps, cuts, rolls, slides and crans came through precisely those vids. I believe the first couple of reels I learned were Green Mountain and Silver Spear. So thanks a million! And congrats on 25K!
I fell in love with Irish music after visiting Ireland! I got my first tin whistle in Ireland and quickly went to RUclips looking for anything whistle related! Your content has been incredibly helpful teaching me so many things. I stick around for the music and the knowledge
I’ll jump on board. Enjoying tin whistles and am learning to play. This video made me realize I wasn’t subscribed, so I just did so you can let someone else win the whistle if I’m picked. Keep on bringing the beautiful content
A year ago I watched Outlander and felt in love with Scotish and Irish folk music. I bought basic Feadóg tin whistle, downloaded "Stóras na Fideig" learning book and played till I learned the basics. Tin whistles are not so common in Poland, so I gained much attention while playing with friends. I started searching for more and found your channel. Don't remember specific video, but I subscribed immediately. Thank you for great content!
Well Sean, despite your preference for Sligo wear, (I'm from Mayo), I just really enjoy the simple way you have in explaining tunes, working through whistle differences and your honesty when it comes to teaching, learning and playing. As a new starter @48yrs of age (2nd lesson only last week) I'm quickly getting sucked down the rabbit hole that is Irish music and while there is a believed simplicity to the whistle, I'm learning it is so much more. And thankfully, from your videos, I'm learning it's accessible...Other videos are convoluted or tiresome to listen to so that's why I'm here to hear...😄
Thank you for this! I bought a cheap tin whistle years ago on a visit to Ireland and never thought much of it. But recently, I randomly picked it up again and decided I wanted to learn to play properly. Of the videos I found on RUclips, yours have been the most informative and the best produced. Thank you for your efforts!
You'll be up to 50,000 in no time! I love your playing and tutorials. It was your beginner series that caught my attention but then when I watched your other videos, I realized this is a guy I can really learn with! Keep up the great work. 😘💕
