@@jayg6138she has had some training over the past couple years obviously as her subtlety and control has significantly improved, however i’d say up until high as hope she had no training whatsoever and it was all natural talent. i think the most training she had at those points was grade 4 singing in school, she mentioned this in an interview
@@matildawhitaker. I feel as though I recall her saying she started vocal training after Ceremonials but I may be wrong. You are correct though, she had been in vocal lessons very briefly when she was in school and abandoned it because she didn't like how strict her teacher wanted her to be about her health and habits (such as drinking/smoking/etc). Her voice is just raw talent mixed with experimenting by herself to find her sound. She has said in recent years that Lungs and Ceremonials were basically just her yelling into the mic, and when you compare the quality of her voice in HBx3 onward, you can definitely hear the difference. She's got a much lighter, sweeter tone now and she is far more comfortable in the bottom parts of her range. And of course the mastery she's attained over her vibrato is on an entirely different level from any other vocalist alive.

I think the melancholy Florence weaves into her performance of this song is what makes it so powerful, and I think some of that is lost in this rendition-- it feels more angry and less defeated. Still great singing tho

Absolutely amazing. I saw Celine last week and this girl moved me more, so unexpectedly as I sat just feet away from her when she sang this song. Very rare to hear such a great voice with so much emotion. Just flipping wow.
She is a pro on this song. She performed it as "Daisy" in For The Record: Baz in Los Feliz back in 2013 before this video. She then reprised the role in the updated Baz show which is now in Vegas. She has likely sung this song a few hundred times so I'd hope she nails this! And she did.
