- How to make NILUPAK RECIPE is featured in this video. This is one of the favorite delicacy from the Philippines, usually sold on the street with margarine. It is made of mashed cassava, condense milk and butter, topped with grated cheese.
To achieve the smooth and creamy texture, the cassava needs to be pounded thoroughly. I am sure Filipino's living overseas miss this which inspired me to cook and share. Try this recipe and enjoy this delicious snack.
Ingredients
1 kg cassava
1 tbsp salt
3 cups water
1/2 cup butter / margarine
3 cups water
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup condensed milk
1/2 cup grated cheese

Mashed na saging na saba na hinaluan ng coconut milk & young coconut. Nilupak means mashed in ilonggo. Original is saging na saba not cassava.

knin n maglagkit,niyog. smsm byuhin. ilagay s llagyan s ibbaw cheese. so yummy😊😊😊

We use coconutmilk & young coconut & saging saba. We do differenr recipe. Your recipe is not original recipe for nilupak but recipe for cake so its not native kakanin or not traditional.
It’s my own version of nilupak
This is traditional version. Way back my grandmother and my aunts recipe they only need steamed or boiled yuca roots, shredded coconut, sugar, condensed milk and margarine. No cheese because it’s expensive.
Cassava is d traditional one to make nilupak not d saging saba, maybe traditional in ur place but not in manila
