just saw em last nite at the meridian in Houston. Best show I've ever been to. The best band ever. I made eye contact with Neil when he played the dragonfly...it changed my life. It amazing to see how he turns the stage into his pulpit and just preaches rock and roll to the masses.
NO doubt they are great...but JP's kit has 4 drums. To sound like such a badass with a drum set like that is pretty incredible. Not to mention JP is a very versatile drummer. His off beat Jazz groves are simply amazing. I'm not saying JP is the greatest, just very underrated.
@crispywhite14 yea dude neil seems to do that alot at shows... i've been to 3 and he's made eye contact with me at all of them... its like he recognizes me or something
Clutch is a killer band, so tight, hard and funky all at the same time- but you guys are arguing over technical skill? That's stupid. There are old jazz and prog rock guys that have been around for decades that are all amazing. There are studio musicians that you never hear about who can play anything- ANYTHING- that's why they're hired guns and all they do is play perfect takes all day. Saying that doesn't take anything away from these guys though- but your little debate is boneheaded.

By far my favorite album of their's and a stellar performance!

Man! I've seen him break a stick and pull out a new one without missing a beat. The man's the most talented metronome on the planet.
