- Well if anyone has got a new iMac and a new Canon Printer just so they can print to DVD and having trouble watch here. Firstly even though I thought I installed the software when I connected a usb (instead of using wifi) my iMac said need software. Anyway this will show you how to print to the DVD instead of paper using Disc Cover 3.
Feb 2014 - Since this was uploaded I have used this successfully over Wifi without any connection (except wifi) so it does work. It's a bit strange but if I request 3 copies it never works... ?bug in the software. Anyway great value for his printer.

I use Dropbox to share draft copies of movies that I do for people saves running round their house with a usb key. use the link above to get a free account. I also have paid for an account to store wedding movies, these are quite large and it's a backup for my computer and time capsule.
Once you sign up for an account you will need to Install it so it automatically sinks with anything in the folder, do this here: www.dropbox.co...
www.belightsoft.com is the company that makes the software. I paid for a license which allows me something like 40,000 printed discs. I think that will last until i'm a million years old.
Thanks for the comment, it does produce a good finished product which is better than sticking a label on the DVD plus there is less waste and cost because you don't have to buy the labels.
no worries, thanks for looking out for me. Heading out for the weekend now, see ya.
yeah it does but you need to be careful about the way you select it. they have just brought an update out (May 2013) so now the copies count works correctly.
Cannot thank you enough...you just made it so easy to follow!
Thank you for taking the time to comment.
I figured out the problem. For disc burning the printer needs to be connected directly via USB. All other printing can be done wirelessly.
Have a great weekend!
Thank you for providing a how-to with the software provided (I am still looking for a good Windows solution). Before this, I was printing via dragging my artwork onto a memory stick and plugging that into the printer because the included software bundle is sadly rubbish and doesn't even provide a "blank template" - which is bad considering it forces you to use a template of some kind.
The steps are only slightly different on the hardware end with the MG6300 and it works like a charm (I'm using Verbatim BD-R DL discs, which cost a pretty penny in themselves and so I wasn't going to flub up the print job - which I must say is quite amazing).
Tony Rayo this company provides Windows version too... I also do my DVD case and it's good for other stuff too. Thanks for the comment.
mikeycbd Would you be so kind as to add a link? I could not find a Windows version of "Disc Cover" on the Belight site, however I'm using a trial of "Acoustica CD Label Maker" at the moment and it seems to cover the full spectrum of disc/case art.
Tony Rayo www.belightsoft.com is the company that makes disc cover
+Tony Rayo I've got a windows setup software
Thanks for the comment :-)
