Hey Declan, well done mate, another lovely van. Really impressed with the tare weight. Does this van have the new composite floor system. Does the new floor system save any weight over the old system. New raptor coat sides look very sleek. Cheers Shayne

Hi there! Shane thanks for your comments :) the Tare weight is definitely assisted in this van with the raptor sides - especially keeping in mind that the coloured panel increases the tare weight slightly due to manufacturing requirements which is something I keep neglecting to remind folks of also. Other things to be mindful with this build to keep the weight down is the std toolbox and also the lack of slide out kitchen and traditional n/s interior layout which minimises the cabinetry complexities. This van wasn't fitted with the comp floor, however our analysis on paper is that the pure weight of the outdoing timber flooring and the new composite flooring is near on identical. Where we have ben able to execute weight reduction strategies has been in the fact that the composite flooring whilst weighing the same as the timber flooring is inherently more structurally rigid than the timber floor, so weve been able to re-think the layout of the non-structural members of the chassis supports and now run less of them as a result - which depending on chassis size will yield a 10-15kg weight reduction on average.

Just looking at your vans on RUclips and all your vans seem to have very small windows, and for the price of the van you would least expect decent size windows. Other than that nice van.

The larger windows from Dometic have a tendency to malfunction due to their wider aperture- there’s valid reasons for this so we recommend to our clients to run these windows for a more pleasurable Caravaning experience in general. It also maximizes your insulation efficiency with less uv light and more panel with insulation along with overall structural strength.
In saying this, we still offer larger window combinations to clients when they enquire about their own vans it’s just up to the individual to use the data and our recommendations on their own merit
      Thanks for your comment 🙏🏼🫡
