- Today I continued playing through a Bloodborne randomizer! I randomized the entire game including enemies and items to create a brand new chaotic experience! After playing through Elden Ring as my first every souls game from Fromsoft, I played through Bloodborne and kick started my channel. Since then I have played through all of the other Fromsoft titles and have now returned to my roots once again to take on this funny challenge.

Man I really do hope Bloodborne eventually comes to the PC because it has INSANE potential when it comes to overhaul mods considering the crazy amount of unique enemies and bosses present in the chalice dungeons which could easily be introduced into the base game in tandem with expanded or entirely new areas.
Don't take this the wrong way, but it's weirdly refreshing seeing the randomizer done by someone who doesn't speedrun the game and is therefore just Normal At Playing It. I think most people who would spend a big chunk of change on a machine just to play 1 game with mods/fixes are in the "past saving" phase of their obsession, so I don't know that this is a perspective we'll see much of again. Kind of ups the stakes.
Anyway I think you should do the chalice dungeons at some point. (Unless you have already and just need to edit a video of it.) I promise they're fine. They're fine and very normal I promise.
I feel like beating the chalice dungeons normally first before attempting this would've been the normal play lmao, gotta admire the chad move to just jump in blind to like half the monsters though!

This Randomizer was awesome! Also you really should try out the chalice Dungeons some time they are a bit repetative but ultimately very fun! Plus, if you haven't done the Chalices, you probably haven't gotten to use the Beast Claw and that is a really cool weapon.

Delicious video, little tip though for Amygdala and Ebrietas, don't try too hard to get behind them, their heads take way more damage.
Seems like the randomizer changed their hitzones too, Amygdala's legs were taking the same damage as the arms.
@@captainace1277 True, but I never go for its legs so I wouldnt know lol. My main hang up with trying to get behind those two is that you can't properlly see what they're doing

Amygdala legs is immune during its fight, but here you able to hit it. Or maybe if you have greater damage you can damage it?
@@xrafter Not immune, I could definitely damage her in the defiled chalice dungeon, don't remember the actual fight cause I was pretty overlevelled for it. Although the damage is piss poor. Wonder how the randomizer changes that.

Apparently you could damage its legs after it arms break or its health is lower.

Good videos, gotta recommend both the chalice dungeons - there are hacked versions of the defiled dungeons with the right loot but you keep full health, if that's a deterrent - and also mashing L1 and R1 to shorten the brainsucker grab so it only steals 1 insight instead of 2

Generally speaking, the difference between “this boss changes halfway through” or doesn’t is just down to whether the game itself has to spawn a different actor (usually due to a major change in model or spawning in a whole other enemy). Bosses whose phase change results only in changed behavior rather than changed appearance, such as Maria or Ebrietas in this video, are usually not gonna swap out (that is, whatever boss is in their arena will not). Understanding the way games handle boss entities will help you understand if a boss will switch out or not. The different phases of transforming bosses - that is, bosses such as Gascoigne, Ludwig, or Orphan - are, on a coding/programming level, actually entirely different bosses. Hence, when the second phase would trigger, the boss swaps out, since the game stores, say, Ludwig the Accursed and Ludwig, the Holy Blade as two completely separate entities. Bosses like Maria and Ebrietas get new animations/attacks and effects, but the boss otherwise does not really change. And multi bosses such as Living Failures are often stored with each instance as a separate boss - helps in keeping track of who’s dead and who’s got what health and whatnot. Hence why you get 4 different bosses in their room… this does make me curious about how the Emissary fight is handled, though, as all those individual Emissaries randomizing to themselves seems… highly unlikely, to say the least. Makes me wonder if perhaps they’re actually an arena effect, like Orphan’s lightning, minus the couple that did randomize, though in that case the reason for splitting them up when they all constantly respawn anyways eludes me.
