I am shocked nobody ever mentions on broken wings by chanel cleeton its the og pining hero book and he has been pining over his best friends wife for years
Bea, your intros are the greatest thing, love it! And of course all the love for pining heroes I'm actually rereading ACOTAR right now (because I never finished ACOWAR, and it is really about time that I did...🙈), and you're so right!
I need to re-read ACOTAR too because I never read the last book, but it's been so long, I need to re-read the first four books first, LOL. At least I know I'm not the only one, Vy! 😃
Love the intro! Yes, expand those editing skills - love to see them. "Love in the Afternoon" by Lisa Kleypas is one of my favorites because of LEO, he's so funny, adorable. I even love him over Sebastian in another Lisa Kleypas books - I think because Leo's character is more fleshed out in the Hathaway books and just so funny.
I'm so glad I found a channel we have so much in common around me we don't have really any Thrift stores with books or any free little libraries but the library has a sale every so often where you can fill a bag for $3 so it's a lot of fun
OMG Bea ! The intro is so great !!!! For once I have a great book for you too. Did you read The Longing by Tamara Leigh ? It is so good ! It is a medevial set up, and we follow Lady Susanna who's been in love with Sir Everard since she is 14. Sir Everard happens to be her best friend's lover (the best friend is older don't worry) , and this same best friend is also married to Susanna's elder brother. The story takes place when Susanna is 25. It is emotional, heatbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
Your editing is amazing! I wish mine yould be as good as yours! XD Pining in romance novels is always fun. =) So thanks for all those recommendations. "Him" has been on my TBR for so long. I need to pick that up soon. 😂Intense is always good.
YES! The Lisa Kleypas triathalon! I think we should get medals for completing it! But seriously, those are SOO good! Which one do you think was your favorite?
They are ALL great, and they have their own standouts. But as a whole The Hathaways! That family stole my heart. But Devil in Winter and the Saint Vincent’s in the Ravenels always made me want to read more!
I read a book last year that involves pining. It's also set at Christmas, but it's a fun book and doesn't need to be read then. (In fact, I find Christmas rather stressful and would prefer to read about anything else but that during the holidays.) In any event, the book is An Ex for Christmas by Lauren Layne. It's only available as an e-read, I believe. I liked it so much I would buy a hard copy if there was one. On another topic, I recently read the first book in the Parallel series because it's gotten such praise, but I don't think it's for me. I know that things were not going to be wrapped up in that first book, but the author left so much unanswered and the heroine seemed to be such a doormat. I had a hard time liking her. I'm not certain I will continue with the series, although some reviews seem to think the third and fourth book are the strongest.
