They were national champions in Canada for several years oh, one of the all-time great Real Drum and bugle Corps. My opinion DCI, is responsible for the demise of the activity throughout the United States and Canada. We no longer have real drum and bugle Corps. But turned what was once the greatest youth activity throughout the United States and Canada, into a marching band, and three ring circus display. They should call it what it is marching band, competition. Stop calling it drum and bugle Corp. Former member of the Long Island Sunrise has 1964 through 1968. Today is April 28th 2022 Thank you for this post. It really brings back great memories, I played snare drum in the Floyd Bennett golden eagles in 1960 and 1961 oh, this clip brings back almost identical to the way most, drum and bugle Corps, were at that time. Showing the members both in competition wearing their uniforms, and at practice when they're wearing their civilian clothing. Any one of those members in the clip I could relate to oh, the members of the golden eagles back in 1960 and 1961.
My first year in Drumcorps. I played "who will buy" at least 1000 times on that small record that they put out that year
