I feel the need to comment as a 25 yr old dude who works in a factory but also would like to make custom work wear for myself and you have helped so much in getting started and learning what all the tools are for.
I'm 55 and just bought my first sewing machine four month ago. It's still sitting because I'm overwhelmed every time I look at it. I'm so glad I found you!! It's been hard without a manual so thank you for making these videos! I just wound my first bobbin and feel like I can now take on the world 😂
Thank you so much Mom, for demonstrating how to operate this sewing machine. I am 68 years old and have retired. I used to sew when I was younger, so now I needed a refresher course. I bought this singer m3220 sewing machine yesterday and was overwhelmed 😢 with your guidance I can start sewing. I will stay tune in for your videos to bring myself up to speed. Once again, thank you. You have become my best friend. God Bless You!❤
I am 54 just getting back to sewing after some 20 odd years of not sewing and I must say this video has been a great help for me thank you so much for this boost.
Thank you so much for sharing your talent. I haven’t used a sewing machine since I was in high school in the 70’s. My husband passed away 3 yrs ago , so I decided to buy a sewing machine 2 yrs ago to make some memory bears and pillows for my kids and 3 granddaughters. Thanks again ❤
This video helped so much. I had basically learned everything to start from the pamphlet and reading the manual online. But there's just something about following along with someone that makes it so much easier. Thank you so much. I've had this issue with my thread getting stuck and the fabric getting eaten by the machine and I could not figure out the problem, I assumed it was the bobbin. But it turns out that my needle was dented :/ And I didn't realize until it was really dented. But thank you for helping me set up my machine again
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I just got my very first sewing machine ever and you walked me through everything I had to do. Your instructions were extremely clear, your pace was slow and perfect and I just stitched my first piece of scrap together. Thank you so much!
I got this sewing machine 2 years ago and you just taught me so many things i was doing incorrectly. Cannot wait to watch more of your videos. Thanks so much for taking your time to teach us who don't know what we're doing. I appreciate you so much already. Subscribed and liked 🖤🖤🖤 I'm wanting to start a business bc my daughter and her friends are all having children so I'm going to start making and selling baby bundles. Thanks! 🖤 Andedane 💋
Advertised new for $135.00, Walmart is selling refurbished Singer M3220s for $85.00. Great for tight budgets. So is a brand-new Brother LX3817 for $85.00 at Walmart. The full-sized, 53-stitch Brother MZ53 at $129.00 also sounds good for beginners and as a cheap backup for primary machines. This type of sewing machine is also fun for vacation takealong projects on RV and boat trips and in cozy winter cabins when you're snowed in.
I’m a beginner sewer and I can’t download the manual for this machine. Thank you so much for explaining the attachments that come with the machine. ❤ you just got a new follower 😊
Fantastic video! I'm so glad I found it! I was just looking for one more step and that is sewing with a double needle. I'm not sure how to thread the machine for that. I'm trying to hem stretchy fabric and need a double needle. 26:25
Thank you for this informative video- I just bought my first sewing machine, I did everything but for some reason when I hold the foot down for sewing, it won’t move. it just makes the sound. What am I doing wrong? Help me please! Thank you!
Hello, I’m new to this channel and have watched a few videos so far. First of all thank you for actually taking your time to explain things! I want to buy my first full sized machine and I’m looking at either the Brother LX3817 or this Singer M3220. My main reason for purchasing is just to fix a few clothes and a blanket with sentimental value. I also have a 2 year old and would love to learn to sew clothes for her like my mom did for me. Price aside which one would you recommend? Thank you once again!
I’m so glad the videos are helpful! I really like the Brother MZ53. It’s about the same price as the singer. Brother machines just seem to run a lot more quietly than Singer- to me anyway. And the MZ53 has a nice selection of stitches. Thanks for watching!
Usually a problem on the bottom signals a problem with the upper thread. Try tightening the upper tension. The bobbin tension is not adjustable on this machine.
The red button feels loose on my machine and it won't pick up the pressure foot. Any ideas? The original foot came off, but it won't pick up the zipper foot...HELP!!!
I'm used to metal bobbins. This machine has plastic bobbins and it floats loosely in the bobbin hole. Is that normal? The thread keeps coming out of the needle without making stitches. I can't figure out what is going on! I wish I had my granny's old pedal foot!
Yes, a drop in bobbin just kinda' sits there lol. As for the thread problem...try starting with a longer tail hanging out. I give myself a comfortable lead with thread. Thanks!
Hi I am a beginner here, why my needle is not a thread from the bobbin to the top, does bobbin needs to thread fully because my bobbin has less thread , is that causing problem 😢.

Your explanations were beautifully concise.
This is by far the best video I’ve watched yet! So much detail! Thank you!

You’re welcome! Hope you weathered the storm ok!
@@momdoesstuff yes, thank God we're fine......thank for your concern.
Hi, how to fix the sewing machine when it goes backwards? Thank you.
How do I adjust the bobbin side of the stitch? My bobbin side of the material is wiggly while the top stitch is fine.
Hmmm are you using the 3220? Which red button?
Thank you for that
You’re very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Needle broken and in the lower part. Of machine. How I can put off the broken needle from machine. Please . Send me reply soon. Thx madam ji.

What number is a good general number for the tension to be at ?
I usually stay around 3.5-4.5
Is there an attachment for this machine that does the rolled hem?
You can use a generic snap on rolled hem foot.
have you had troubles with this sewing machine? i have the exact same one and i love it but it won’t sew anymore
Mine still runs fine. However, I haven’t used it a lot. Just for a random seam here and there . It just won’t come in?
Why did a book not come with the machine
No idea. It seems a lot of companies are doing that now, not just sewing machines 😕

Oh, no! I'm sorry you're having trouble. See if this helps any ruclips.net/video/IfKxS5tY7IE/видео.html
@@momdoesstuff thank you for the reply, I’ll try
Does this work for cotton thread?
It should.
I have singer machine down thread is not coming good
cannt understand her speech subtitles please
On the lower right side of the video, there's a small square icon with CC in it. If you'll click on that it will give you subtitles. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much.. I really appreciate your video.. very informative and helpful and detailed..🧵🪡
