When I had my wisdom teeth removed, they actually stitched the inside of my cheek and the wound together by accident... And they didn’t believe me when I told them. I literally went down there 3 times before they believed me and then they opened the stitches like a week earlier than they were supposed to. Then some food got inside of my cheek and it swell up so much. They had to cut my cheek open and rinse it with water for a couple of minutes without using a numbing cream or something and it was literally the worst pain I ever had 😭 I’m so glad I’m done with that. I had an appt for my tooth in 2019 but I cancelled it because I don't have any money. I'm just wondering, how did yours get infected? Food getting stuck? I hear that it's easier to get an infection in your wisdom teeth because food gets stuck easier.
I honestly don't know how the infection started but it happened right after I got my teeth cleaned and the wisdom teeth sealed... I think the cleaning irritated the flap or something? not sure!
