Waiting for the XHP50.3 Hi in a 3V version. Got a Sofirn Q8 Pro begging for it! Be an absolute beast for large areas. The xhp50.2 does well but I'd love a 5000k with a little more throw!
Nice video mate, i remember you uploaded a video about xhp50.3 hi before maybe it was different host? it's kinda crazy how those luminus are close to the output of the xhp50.3 hi, till i realize that sft-40 is pulling 10 amps, the xhp50.3 hi @ 10 amps should do more than 3000 lumens easily right?
Yea the L6 was supposed to be about the XHP50.3HI but I never finished it it was to hard to get a good focus with the reflector. This C8 is doing about 20 watts, while the SFT40 is doing about 40 watts but outputs a similar amount of light. The XHP50.3HI is a 6v LED so it should be more efficient overall. At 40 watts you should see maybe 3500- 4000 lumens.
@@everydaysurvivalgear that's sick, to have 40 watts in a very compact light, i know that he xph50.3 hi is floodier than the sft-40 but, to you that did the comparision side by side in live, does the sft-40 feels brighter due to the light goes further?
Hello, have you try the new 3volt version of xhp50.3 hi ? i wonder which will be brighter if you direct drive this 3volt version vs the 3amp 6volt xhp50.3. .
Hey, sorry i missed this comment, i want to buy the 3v version but i have so many spare LED's right now i can't bring myself to spend the money, I think it will outperform the 6v XHP-50 in a single cell light but also Convoy have the higher power 6v boost drivers out now that would help with this LED. You can potentially get 4000 lumens from a 3v XHP-50.
@@everydaysurvivalgear i think i will buy the 6volt version of xhp50.3 hi and using 17mm convoy 6v 5amp buck driver for my m2 project because direct drive driver like the one use in blf a6 is no where to find today in aliexpress or banggood.. can only be get in mtnelectronic, but the shipping price is quite high... The 17mm 3v convoy 12mode driver is limited to 5amp.. 6volt x 5amp = 30watt, i think its more than enough to beat the olight performance.

From BLF, XHP50.3 HI does about 4000 lumens at 9Amps so that is impressive

Hey mate, XHP35HI will have less output bit more throw compared to the XHP50.3HI and the SFT40 will be the same output as the XHP35.HI but more throw.

You can buy a 20mm single cell boost driver from Convoy store on AliExpress, that will run this LED and will fit inside a M21A host.
