I am Mexican and I am a child of the Angolan people. The African diaspora that exists in Mexico are the children of the Angolan people. In our Spanish language we speak words that derived from the Bantu languages ❤ We are a small population but we are strong and proud of our roots. We are the forgotten children of the diaspora, but we are here as a reminder that we survived and that Mexico when it was New Spain and was ruled by the crown of Spain also participated in the slave trade. We are not in the history books but we helped build Mexico and continue to support our country.

@@claudetteriley5963 Eastern Orthodox ended slavery 1000 yrs ago, WITHOUT banning it. The Eastern Orthodox Christian Roman Empire, with its capital in Constantinople (falsely named Byzantine Empire ), ended slavery 1000 yrs ago, via FREE WILL. While people groups, informed by other, denominations, world views, or other religions, doubled down on it. About 800 or so yrs later, via threat of violence, bloody civil wars, and political conflict, …slavery was banned, by FORCE. To this day, the west, still couldn’t put an end to slavery via FREE WILL, driven by TRUE Christian morality, like the Eastern Orthodox Christian, Roman Empire, led by Constantinople, achieved. Significantly, WITHOUT the need to ban slavery….of which I believe was done by design, so that the idea could spread, without the need to have backing by laws informed, by other nations, and other world views.
......”Slavery became common within much of Europe during the Dark Ages and it continued into the Middle Ages. The Byzantine-Ottoman wars (1265-1479) and the Ottoman wars in Europe (14th to 20th centuries) resulted in the capture of large numbers of Christian slaves. The Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese, British, Arabs and a number of West African kingdoms played a prominent role in the Atlantic slave trade, especially after 1600.
In the Eastern part of the one and only Roman (wrongly coined Byzantine) Empire, slaves became quite rare by the first half of the 7th century[1] A shift in the view of slavery is noticed, which by the 10th century transformed gradually a slave-object into a slave-subject.[2] From 11th century, semi-feudal relations largely replaced slavery, seen as "an evil contrary to nature, created by man's selfishness", although slavery was permitted by the law.”…ωικιρεδια

It doesn't do justice to the subject of slave trade at all. This was a criminal act that must be thought for what it was. Brutal is an understatement.

Of course. The idea was to destroy, hide, deny and twist the facts and the people in charge worked very hard to do it. But that very powerful God up there wouldn't allow the truth to be totally eradicated. This is why slaves weren't allowed to be educated to know who they were, who they represented, their complete culture and identity.the evil ones tried very hard to break their Spirits but there is a GOD and HE WILL MAKE ALL WRONGS RIGHT! Black people have endured many atrocities and yet still survived as in the days of the ancient evil rulers and you can believe that GOD is and have been watching. Justification will come but it will be on his clock at his designated time.He said that no UNJUST will ever PROSPER and his word will never RETURN TO HIM VOID Patience is also required but it WILL HAPPEN UNFORTUNATELY.

Let me put it like this. Does the guy at the store chase you down the road for buying a pack of cigarettes or does he chase you diwn the road when you steal a pack of cigarettes?
The people of these areas were bought and sold not stolen.... Was it awful, absolutely. However the real villain here is the country that sold its people into slavery NOT the ones who simply bought a product being sold. I know thats a harsh way of looking at it but thats the truth. You dont get mad at the person who gets cancer from smoking the cigarettes, you get mad at the company who sold them to the person with cancer. Same principle here.
