Mr. L is really dark when you put it in Mario’s perspective. Count Bleck has turned his own family against him now. Bowser and Peach are one thing, but, having to actually see your brother intend to KILL you....that’s gotta mess you up.
If this wasn't a game, this is what I imagine to be:
Mario sees mr l and immediately recognizes him, he calls him by his name: "Luigi? Is that you?" "I'm the green thunder Mr L" Mario doesn't know what's going on and tries to snap out of luigi, thinking that he's joking: "Luigi, stop, this is not funny" L just won't listen and he starts to attack mario but him, unable to hurt his own brother, only dodges. Since mr l's not having fun with that, he calls that brobot thing and tries to kill mario once more, so mario has no choice but to destroy it.
I think he did recognize him, but he was in denial that his own brother got brainwashed by the bad guys to kill him.
"You wouldn't kill me.. You don't have it in you."
"Who says i don't?"
"You wouldn't kill....your own brother."

Mr. L is such a brilliant idea; easily one of the biggest things that made me fall in love with this game!
When I first saw that scene where Luigi got hypnotized by Nastasia, I was honestly a little worried that they would just make Luigi a derpy lamb like all the other brainwashed Koopas and Goombas. Why would I think that? Because of how easily the Goombas duped him and how many games liked to make him seem pitiful compared to Mario. *But no!* They instead turned him into this badass "Anti-Mario" with a hell of a personality, a kickass theme song ("The Green Thunder"), slick new outfit (love the black overalls and the eye mask), and even a giant robot that gives you a unique battle like that!!! And what this game has in store for Luigi only gets better and more epic!
They could not have chosen a better world than this to introduce Mr. L either. You enter World 4 via a *green* door then face the Green Thunder in a *green* area. Even the fact that it all takes place in friggin' outer space makes the whole experience with Mr. L all the more memorable--it's like all the cosmos are belong to him!
And here's what I like about the whole idea of him having the Brobot:
1. Demonstrates Luigi's mechanical prowess.
2. Love that even as Mr. L, Luigi still wants a reliable brother to work with lol.
3. The Brobot's vacuum mechanism--I think it might be a call to his Poltergust 5000 from Luigi's Mansion and if so, that's pretty damn awesome! (Let's see, Luigi can high jump, use vacuums, and wears green. Wind is a good element for him!)
Lastly, you've pointed out about this dual personality of Luigi's. Remember when Merlon said that the "Man in Green" will be the one to decide which Prognosticus (the Light or the Dark) will be the true one? Put it together with his duality and it's an epic foreshadow to how big a deal Luigi really is in this game!!!
*Other Comments*
1. Are you sure ppl have been asking you to try Barry often? I've seen most people recommend you using Carrie like all the time and for good reason.
2. Barry on the other hand is not good for damaging enemies directly (as you've seen for yourself). Rather, you'd want to either reflect an enemy's projectile with him or use him when the enemy tries to land on you. Still, neither are recommended for doing often.

I'm doing a cosplay of him, while one of my best friends is going as Dementio, so I'm here studying Mr. L. If you've seen my other comments on this series, you prolly picked up that he's my favourite.
Anyway, QOTD: Prolly Tippy and Carrie. Tippy is a butterfly (I really like butterflies), and Carrie has wings similar to my persona's. I forgot the name now, but the newest one from the last episode is also pretty cool I think. They sing instead of speaking.

Barry isnt meant for fast moving enemies like those things that ride the walls, chaining jumps on them would be way more effective since Barry deals half your characters damage

Almost every person I know that plays this game, as soon as they obtain Barry, they start running around willy-nilly thinking they're absolutely invincible, and end up seriously hurting themselves.
Except for you, of course. You pulled off Barry like a MAN. I appreciate that.
Only because he comes early in the game, my favorite pixl is Boomer because he is the only one (so far(no spoilers)) that is very useful in offense and puzzle solving. And also he blows up
Carrie because you can combine with Bowser to create OP Tank! ^_^

After chapter 4, you can unlock a certain thing in flipside. Once you do that, take the episode to go to the fortune teller in that thing you unlock. Talk to the person behind the crystal ball from behind. I want you to get an optional thing :)
Love how you almost die, then proceed to call the level easy, only to almost die again because you're afraid of squares.

Be careful when you shake the Wii remote, sometimes it’s better just to kill them, because you end up getting hit a lot when trying to do the excellent. Also, if you do it too many times you will actually LOSE XP.

Here is a tip use carrie with bowser to move faster plus bowser is strongest than Mario or peach so that means you will be fast and powerful.

I once screwed myself because on the part that you flipped upside down I went into 3d on the roof so I needed the fourth hero to fix it.
Sully you know if you used Peach for the first part of the battle it would have been easy. Cause she can block any attack with her parasol/umbrella.
