Last week we were in Los Angeles and ended up having a private breakfast with Henry Winkler - the iconic actor who has starred in multiple roles over the years.
It was a meal we will never forget. Here's the behind-the-scenes story of how it all came to be.

I'm long retired from the Developmental Disability field, but many years ago, Mr. Winkler visited our Adult Workshop in Springfield, Ohio. To say he was a hit is such an understatement. He toured the workshop, met and talked with everyone he could, was hugged and kissed more times than can be counted. Everyone knew him as "the Fonz" of course. He was gracious, kind and loving, giving himself to all of his adoring fans. A nicer man I doubt exists. He was wonderful!

Henry is the real deal. He came to the Kansas City Chiefs game and struck up a real friendship with Patrick Mahomes and the team. I think Patrick was starstruck! I can't wait to see Emmy's interview! Couldn't happen to a nicer family.
I've heard so many good stories about Henry Winkler over the years. Other movie stars and everyday people sing his praises. What a wonderful experience for you all.
I took my Mum to New York for her 85th birthday. We 'met' Henry Winkler in the hotel lift. My Mum told him how much she loved Fonzie and Happy Days, I was cringing in the corner (because English!). He could not have been kinder or more charming to her - what a lovely man. Later that day the lift man told us how much the hotel staff loved him he is so polite and kind to everyone. So pleased you all had this great experience.
He truly is a sweet gentleman and I'm so happy your Mom got to meet him ☺
When I was a teenager my hairdresser told me how she had met him back when she was a teenager!! She said what a down-to-earth, nice guy he was and that he was sweet to her whole family.❤❤

Hey Nate and Emmy, I worked in Hollywood for quite a number of years, Henry had an office at Disney Studios along with Gary Marshall and a bunch of the Happy Days ppl. I would see Henry at the Studio Commissary and would chat with him, he would remember me and say hi. There is a very short list of celebrities that truly were kind, Henry was one of those on my short list. Henry is one of my favorites. You should see about getting an interview with Ronny Howard and his brother Clint, Henry stays in close contact with them, and Ronny is a big supporter of kids. 😅😅
I would trust them over child trafficker Oprah ! Beware the devil.
He's a huge producer. He produced Magiver. He's really lovely. I'm so happy for Emmy. Ron Howard is his very close friend in fact Henry is godfather to all four of Ron's kids.

Just too precious!! I have tears in my eyes! Henry Winkler is a stellar human being. I live in Kansas City, and Henry has become a huge fan of Patrick Mahomes. I watched his interaction with Patrick on the football field, and I was so moved by the genuine interest and caring for Patrick. I grew up watching Henry’s shows. He is such a kindhearted man and I cannot wait to see Emmy’s interview tomorrow. I’m so glad you had that vacation with your family; I would imagine you were all ready for some fun time together.

Idea for Emmy, interview Lee Asher. If he's available. I know you don't want a dog but Lee runs the Asher house. It's an amazing dog (and other animal's) rescue. I just think it would be an amazing interview for both of them. Lee is one of the most loving, amazing humans you could ever meet. You can get to know him by watching his you tube channel. Just so beautiful to see what he does for abandoned, sometimes neglected and special needs animal's. He lives in Oregon and has 240 acres in his new sanctuary and has dedicated his life and built this amazing place out of pure love. ❤

Such humility with Henry Winkler. Very few people in Hollywood resemble this kindness.
I loved the interview it was so genuine and adorable.
Henry Winkler was in Portland last December for a book tour and as luck would have it, I was able to go. Such an amazing show. It was almost like going to a "self help" session (For lack of a better word) because he was so positive, funny and encouraging. The interview was held in a revamped school that is now a venue and after the show was over, the interviewer said that Henry offered to pose for pictures with everyone. There were over 500 people there and the line stretched all around the long high school hallways. I was near the end and I was sure that by the time they got to me I wouldn't get to see him, but he stayed for about two hours after the show was over and took pictures with EVERY SINGLE PERSON. I only got to say two words to him "Hello and thank you" and he said the same to me but that moment absolutely made 2023 for me. He is the most amazing person. I wrote him a letter when I got home and even though I didn't receive a response, I hope he received it and knows how much that night meant to me. I cannot thank him enough.

Saw Henry in Peter Pan pantomime at the Liverpool Empire Theatre uk in 2010.
He talked with & met the audience after the show. Such a lovely down to earth, humble & friendly man!
He was awarded an honorary OBE in 2011 for his work with UK schools over a two year period when he toured uk schools discussing dyslexia.
