This is NOT Crossfit.
I kinda feel like it is though....
Joey seeing you with Goggins would make my life
Of course crossfit just makes you puke

Well it looks like it 😂
Great video haha...it’s a mindset boys

Holy shit..
Litvinov looks like such a boss spinning that ball of steel around
Still 3rd best measure in hammer throwing. After like 40 years. Still Olympic record. A monster
That man looked like a machine spinning around like that. Crazy technique
Human beyblade
Watching body builders try to run is my new favorite activity...
You should watch Larry wheels trying to play basketball haha
I was thinking the same thing.
Juji's run looks so uncomfortable
I like watching Steffi Cohen run. It's weird. And adorable.
Ya, before I’m like juju you’re gonna run 12mph? Ya did not think so. Brave attempt.
You know your soul left your body when you say " my body left my soul"
😂😂
I think his body left his soul at 18:27
For those of you who don’t know track times, 75 seconds is a 5:00 mile pace. The fact that a guy could squat 405 8 times, run a five minute mile pace for 400, and then repeat that two more times is absolutely absurd to me. Mind, heart and lungs of the highest grade of Soviet unobtanium.
You saw them glutes son. Hes built different
Whatever was in the "unobtanium" it made those Russian girls look like lumber jacks.
They should of done a percentage of their personal 1 RM rather than jumping in at 405. If the Russian was hitting 3 sets of 405 then he's probably using about 70-80% of his 1RM.
Unobtanium 😁
Jacob M I know how fast 75 is. I could do it 4 times with a break but adding squats I doubt it
I love how you guys support and respect smaller or younger athletes relative to their own personal progress who can't put up huge numbers, but are pushing their own personal limits.
I've found that to be a common ethos among most smart and heartfelt fitness and bodybuilding types. Certain advantages or mechanical particulars are genetic or the result of factors beyond one's control, but everyone can strive to be better than yesterday.
Agreed, pretty cool to see the mutual respect and humility here. Juji can be super competitive but I get the sense he just wants everyone to excel.
If it's heavy for you - it's heavy.
If it's difficult for you - it's difficult.
I agree
Damn...Matt is a trooper. Has good lifts and run. Vomits! And just brushes it off and goes again
Thats how track people are
The thing is, to actually do the 405lbs front squats, Matt would have to add some muscle weight and it’ll probably mess up his running.
@@jonmolina948 Exactly! I wonder why all those people are hyped about him. He didn't do even half (same as rest guys). Respect for trying. But there's no Olympic medal "For effort".
@@8000860 he's also not , yanno....250 pounds. Then again I've seen 150-160 pound men squat 405 for reps but not front squat.
Props to juji for showing not only his strengths but also his weaknesses. I feel like most youtubers in the fitness community try to make themselves look good all the time
"Rocky IV was a lie", made me laugh out loud
" Is your refrigerator running? Well you better go catch it" -No that's just Juji
I laughed way too hard at this.
the fridge would probably be faster
This comment wins. 🤣🤣
Lol. Golden comment. Well done my friend!
Hahahaha!!!!
This is awesome as a hammer thrower the biggest lift is the front squat. The reason, why Litvinov was able to be 200 lbs or less, is that he is all legs. As a hammer thrower, it's counter-intuitive to have a big chest or arms as you want to maximize your radius your arms can be when fully stretched out, we are known for being T-rexes. The front squat is so big in the throw because if you look at the positions a hammer thrower is similar to that of a front squat because you are sitting back. The second most important lift is the snatch as it works on your finish at the end and helps with overall explosive power.
All you need to do is combine the strength of Szat with the athleticism of a trained track athlete and you'll get one (1) single 196 lb russian man
I'd settle for a combo of Joey and Anton.
He weighed in at around 234lbs according to old records. He doesn't look that heavy but has to have a lot of muscle to front squat 400lbs for 8 reps like this workout suggests.
Exactly lmao
he was 196? So he was doing 2x bodyweight front squats for reps? Jesus.
Who are you guys talking about?
Litvinov's son (also Sergey) is a thrower too, would be cool to do a video with him and ask him about this workout
He said his dad never did this workout. This is all made up.
@@luigigonzalez5892 Of course he didn't. This is clearly an urban myth. There is no way in the world a 195lbs man could even dream of doing this. The premise of this video is straight up bullshit.
"HE'S KILLIN IT" pans down to juji on the verge of death on the floor
Lmao
They were talking about the workout and the it referring to Juji
He as in the workout and it as in Juji
Sergey Litvinov’s son confirmed that this workout never happened - total urban legend. Which makes sense because this is literally an insane workout. Props to the guys for even trying to do something that insane.
His son was a known liar.
Joey trying not to puke and still encouraging Juji at 18:11 is big friend energy
laughed way to hard a this one :D
He's probably done it before.
Also laughed really damn hard at it
Haha nice catch, that was a good save. Imagine him barfing all over the track
I didn't catch it the first time. Went back and gagged a little bit. Thanks!
Juji running after those squats is the exact same as every dad that used to be an athlete.
Amazing work fellas.
When they were explaining this to Joey he had the expression of one going to die
19:25
You can clearly see the specificity of training here. even though Juji is so graceful with that body size doing flips, he runs like rigor mortis chaffed his thighs so much he'd die if they touched. Tough workout!
You and Joey make such a good content team!
'My body left my soul'
Is the most accurate way to describe this
Can we just give credit where credit is due? The graphics when the wind is blowing like crazy are THE BEST!!!!!
i liked the editing on that one also lol
For once I feel like Juji's a normal relatable guy instead of a monster machine lol.
Honestly I think all that strain from running on a bodybuilders heart isn't healthy
Can we please appreciate Sam's laugh in these videos! Fills me with joy every time.
You're such a delicate flower aren't you

“Simple does not mean easy!”💪🏼
Respect to everyone who gave it a shot, that was INSANE
Favorite part, how genuinely happy you guys are when people succeed
watch as jujumufu goes through all 7 stages of grief
As physically skilled Juji is, his running form is so bad. It's really inspiring to see how he becomes great at the things he trains, and how he is not ashamed to show off where he is lacking. I have no doubt he would become a decent runner in no time if he wanted to, with his proprioception, mobility and dad.
After seeing how he reacted to his 400 and his competitiveness I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him start training the 400😂
@@AD-ui6sk lol right?!
its almost like he just did a bunch of reps with an immense amount of weight
Plus his dad is a great runner! Always running marathons
Yeah but running is the one thing body builders aren't going to make a habit of.
The camera work during joey’s last set was
😙🤌 a chef’s kiss
Joey's face on that last rep would strike fear into the mightiest of hordes. Dude was not letting that rep beat him.

Does anybody else want to see Jon commit to a running program for like a month, and have running coaches come on as guests?
Would be really cool to see someone his size train for running. Will put in perspective how Athletic the football rugby pros are.

WOW! From the man himself! Thank you Dan John for making the strength world a better place for all of us! 🙏
First, the "shoes" issues with CP is/was such a joke. Second, track athletes have a different set of qualities than many people. Finally, who the hell would give this a "thumbs down?"
@@jujimufu ANY time I can be of service, let me know. This was, and this is going to sound weird, lovely. As you know, John Powell told me about this and I use this with throwers, military, "collision occupations," American football and Rugby. Okay...time to joke: the progression is to go heavier.
You're thinking outside the box again, and that's dangerous: going "heavier" on this workout! AHHHHH!!! ☠
As a former hammer thrower this makes me happy
Did you train in a simlar style of strength/endurance back to back, or is that Litvinov being a freak?
@@AfferbeckBeats litvinov is a freak. I wouldn't combine squats with sprinting. But certain exercises are combined.
@@AfferbeckBeats we didn't do sprints after lifts like these. If anything just basic plyometrics/sprints, to work on explosiveness. I also threw the hammer and our workouts were based on pull days/ push days/ plyometrics with sprints.
His son also confirmed that the workout is completely made up and his father would never do anything as dumb as this. To be fair, juji is trying for litvinov’s lap time essentially with a 55lb weighted vest. Bodyweight is no joke when it comes to running.
But then it’s the opposite effect on his squats and the big boys struggled
I would also guess Litvinov is very conditioned for both things, and specialized in both things. Also, I think the running is way easier for Litvinov, considering he's sub 200 lbs while Juji is 250 and Joey is 275 lmao.
