The range of the mortar is 130m. That means it will eventually aggro every patrol in that 130m radius. That quirk makes it great as a distraction. A mortar and a few mines near a major objective could keep enemies busy for quite a bit.

Barely use mortars, and tried them out when I unlocked targeting, but they just don't seem to care. Also feels a bit like they need line of sight, so I tend to waste them thinking I'm putting them in a protected spot but they can't see out.
