I really wish I could relive my first days playing HD2. Straight out of basic training, being dragged by my friend to the Automaton side before I could say Managed Democracy. Now it’s the same loop of dropping into a level 8 or 9 mission, running for my life, and extracting. I think everyone wants to do the same with their favorite game, mine is just Helldivers 2.
You probably realized it during your final pain, but the patrol increase is not tied to extraction, its tied to main objective completion. Completing the main literally quaruples the number of patrols, who usually tend to reach most squads when they arrive at extraction Edit: wording for clarity
Appreciate you pointing that out! It was something I realized later on. I changed my approach after realizing and would instead focus on the samples first, complete the main objective and make a break for extraction while avoiding any patrol even if they did notice me
Not only that. But destroing outposts also increases partol spawn rates, as well as mission timer. Lower time you have more patrols gonna spawn. I thought this is basic knowledge for HD2 XD
killing the charger with a supply-pod is way easier if you throw the strategem at the chargers head. It sticks there and will land on it, so you just have to wait for it to land
I did it this way, but as I was running for my life on helldive difficulty, there was 4 chargers and 3 titans and I needed every stratagem I could get. Although I did have prior knowledge it was possible because I had looked through the achievements, I also used my shield pack and whatever support weapon I chose I dont remember to thin the charger horde, wish I recorded it
I’m trying not to judge too harshly, cause this challenge is insane and obviously difficult, and he’s doing it after just starting the game. But the bot missions in this video hurt me so bad 😂 No cover under heavy fire, not stimming when he’s about to die, the 15 rare samples achievement is so painful to witness.
38:20 The extraction timer never "random", default is 2 minutes and a planetary modifier on higher difficulties can make it 3 minutes. You can always see the planetary modifiers in the mission selection map even before zou enter the hellpod.
23:00 if you cant aim for the eye of a hulk for any reason, a full autocannon magazine to the legs will kill it, both legs need to be damaged though, so alternate shots to left and right
@@Rivalont Orbital Railcannon, Laser, 500kg, and Orbital precision strike can get rid of Hulks very quickly. Also now that the spear is working that is a go to option. AMR can two shot the eye as well, and the Laser cannon we can carry deals with them pretty well.
The trick with Autocannon is that you reload for every 5 shots or when the mag is not empty so you will reload just a mag which doesn't take much time you can hold reload button to see how many bullet left
Might be a little late and you might already know this but stims makes you almost immortal. The med armor (the one that looks like a christmas tree) makes the stims last longer and give you extra, so as soon as you see a bunch of enemies and able to use the stim, use it as soon as possible don't wait for more damage
new players always forget about the amplifiers, every time they dive they start whit 2 stims and a dream, med armor saved my life while i didn't knew that he amp aren't destroyed when used like other games does
I usually solo missions from lvl 7+. Antimaterial rifle, shield, lonewolf armor, 5k and railcannon strike is my goto's. I get no deaths like 3/5 attempts. Nice video man! keep it up.
I realized after I had completed all the achievements that this was the ideal loadout for running solo after I joined matches with one person running solo and this is what they were using. I’ve started using it since!

A nugget for the noggin': The smoke fungus that you see in some worlds have a hidden characteristic. If you fire at them they are concussive and have a blast radius.
High ground never seemed to work unless it was a mountain top I respawned on. Most of the time I would just make them crash into a rock if I wasn’t busy with the other bugs
@@Rivalont Depends which crease you aim, some are too minuscule to even noticed as a collision, but some that you jump and have a slight high ground stops the charge attack of these bugs 100% certified (I use them to stop the charger and escape, then reaload and attack the charger). As well, always pack the expendable AT when you're sure to encounter chargers and titans, Usually you can one shot them with 1 well placed rocket when facing chargers or 2 to take a titan firing it to the head. The Quasar Canon + DAT is perfect for punching armor.
the rocket can 1 shot chargers, ya just gotta hit them in the head, also that terminid event did not buff their health or numbers lol, it just warned us that if we didnt push the bugs back then we risk another meridia happening aka a super colony, so we were tasked with pushing the bugs back, also the hunters have always had that acid ability since launch, it was not something added later lol, im not sure where you heard or got that info from, but its incorrect.
For Hold my Liber-Tea, I got that one on a planet that has fungus pods that burst into smoke if you step on them, but if you shoot them, they will knock you a good distance. I got close, aimed at it with the gun, hit the jump pack and shot them, worked like a charm. Would probably get you the one for flying 25 meters as well as that was how I got that one on like my second mission.
surprisingly I did a lot of the achievements solo because it made it easier, I could focus just on the achievement itself. I didn't know stalkers were supposed to be completely invisible! They're really easy to see. I took a purifier thinking if I just charged a weapon, it wouldn't count for the hold my primary, I had to attempt that achievement 5 times because accidental discharge.
My favorite line to hear is "Allied Destroyer has joined squadron." 😊 The saddest line to hear is "Allied Destroyer has left squadron" 😢 I do a lot of solo runs as well. I sometimes get brave and put it on public matchmaking. Which has been 50/50 for me personally. It really helps if folks have voice comms. I communicate best with speech versus text. Though I respond to SOS beacons especially for our low-level players. And met some new player friends that way. I will NOT do the bugs solo. I cannot get past Easy without being obliderated. I do bots only for solo dives and stick with Medium if I have time. If I just want quick runs and short on play time I stick with Trivial and Easy. Overall while this game is meant for teams, solo diving can be fun and challenging at times. Getting to play at least once or twice a week is a goddamn delight to look forward to. 😁 Soldier on fellow Helldiver!! Great video!! Oh and the Auto Cannon is my top favorite heavy weapon. The ABRL is my next one. 😊

For the bots, stop trying to fight them. Sneak past patrols, and if you get chased, dive non-stop behind any and all cover. Use the shield, light armor, and the vitality enhancement booster (stamina if you focus more on mobility). Use the railgun and orbital laser, as well as the shield and 500kg bomb. Orbital laser destroys every enemy type and mows down heavy outposts like they're nothing. Or if you want to distract the hordes, use sentries. Just run and stim very often (you can tank a lot, and it keeps stamina up for the duration of the stim). You have lots of stims, so literally, whenever you get in the red health, just do it.
I hope you are enjoying the new patch. And playing with randoms, the lower difficulties can be quite relaxing (Difficulty 5 at bugs side can be relaxing).

I remember when I first started, I don't know why but it brought me straight to automatons, died immediately because it was an eradicate mission, and after a day or two, I found out I could go to bugs because it is a huger part of the marketing, and I absolutely destroyed by bike spewers abd stalkers I even thought it was harder than bots. Still feels that way. Especially in solos.
I cannot imagine the pain you endured starting out against the automatons. Bugs are definitely harder than bots but when you’re just starting the game bots are not easy at all.
If you dive while on fire, it extinguishes it. Also the terminids are alot more resistant to energy weapons, while the bots are more resistant to incendiary weaponry. One last thing, the autocannon can be set to full auto

waveholder you can just EXPLODE the illegal transmition towers with nades and stratagems and you can 500kg the detection towers AKA the eyes of sauron XD
Hey if you only use half the autocannon mag then you can reload and it will take like half as long. At this point I’ve learned to count off 5 shots then reload lol
the ragdoll whit jetpack is pretty easy, this happens when the jet pack starts the landing animation to soon and you end up falling whitout the slow down, you need to run into a edge that have a fall high enough to ragdoll you, instead of just staggering you, use the jump and aim a bit after the edge, if done right the jetpack will slow down on the edge but you won't touch the ground and will fall, this might unlock the achievement OR you could play against automatons and get sniped by a rocket devastator while in the air, this happens more often than i would like but this helps the achievements only 1 month later hehe
14:09 there are 2 types of chargers, the horned (the one you was fighting) takes multiple shots while the normal one takes 1 ETA/recoiless if you know where to aim
When you go for extraction the enemy doesn't know where you are and will search until they find you. If you're able to avoid them extraction is much simpler
I completed almost all the achievements solo, the real problem was "That which does not kill you..." achievement, because i get a strange bug that my limbs can be injured only after death, if you have armour that give you live with 1% hp, then if you blow yourself on the mine and survive, your libs will be ok, even by 500kg bomb or orbital strike. So i ask my friend to shoot at my limbs from revolver. This take a long because you need 3 times get the armour special ability to work.
So, you play as an ODST who is sent to fight terminators and tyranids? Sounds like the perfect game for me! Only bonus would be if they had some role play included… FOR SUPER EARTH!!!!
Idk. 500kg at least at the time I did this video was terrible. It would land 5ft from a swarm of enemies and only kill a few. I found the orbital strike to be more reliable
Orbital strike is good imo if you don’t have a stupid miss chance on orbital modifier. It has short cooldown and has a short arrival delay. Also doesn’t conflict with other eagle stratagems like the all mighty cluster bomb or airstrike.
@@Rivalont i play with randoms mostly, and 75% of the time it feels like solo because im doing everything. tbh a lot of the achievements i just got playing the game. Things like break all your limbs was just luck though, idk how to do that without dying lol. Maybe get hit by a charger?. Fly 25 meters from explosion? Get a jetpack and shoot a hellbomb found around maps, then use jumppack and that should do the trick. You could do solo, just pick 1-3 achievements you need and grab the right stratagems then drop in level 6 or lower and it shouldnt be too hard. Game is in a very weird state so level 6 or lower is the way to go. The ones i do remember doing solo was the Hold my primary, im going in!, Hell Dive, and Gone in 360 Seconds. You def arent bad lol, there is a very big learning curve and many things the game doesnt teach you that you have to just figure out and learn from playing. Even a level 150 can be worse then level 1, and it happens more then youd think. Either way, you’ll get it done. We’re Super Earth’s elite. Never forget that. Godspeed Helldiver o7.

healing is way too slow for that, but you stop burning as soon as you press ALT

NO WAY. I tried killing hulks so many different ways when I wasn’t able to aim for the eye or the back. I ended up relying on stratagems mostly

I think that was how I ended up getting the one for 25 meters. Not sure what slingshotted me across the map but I suspect that’s what it was

heres a tip you may already know now but eagle airstrike also works on the bug nests so depending on how many you have you can toss and keep moving
I tried the air strike multiple times on bug nests but was only able to take out one bug hole at a time with it. I think I’m just bad

Hey if you only use half the autocannon mag then you can reload and it will take like half as long. At this point I’ve learned to count off 5 shots then reload lol

I'm stuck at 36/38. need pals to do the 6 orbitals in one area and for some reason the resupply pod on charger achievement isn't being recorded.
the ragdoll whit jetpack is pretty easy, this happens when the jet pack starts the landing animation to soon and you end up falling whitout the slow down, you need to run into a edge that have a fall high enough to ragdoll you, instead of just staggering you, use the jump and aim a bit after the edge, if done right the jetpack will slow down on the edge but you won't touch the ground and will fall, this might unlock the achievement
OR
you could play against automatons and get sniped by a rocket devastator while in the air, this happens more often than i would like but this helps the achievements

14:09 there are 2 types of chargers, the horned (the one you was fighting) takes multiple shots while the normal one takes 1 ETA/recoiless if you know where to aim
When you go for extraction the enemy doesn't know where you are and will search until they find you. If you're able to avoid them extraction is much simpler
I completed almost all the achievements solo, the real problem was "That which does not kill you..." achievement, because i get a strange bug that my limbs can be injured only after death, if you have armour that give you live with 1% hp, then if you blow yourself on the mine and survive, your libs will be ok, even by 500kg bomb or orbital strike. So i ask my friend to shoot at my limbs from revolver. This take a long because you need 3 times get the armour special ability to work.

Idk. 500kg at least at the time I did this video was terrible. It would land 5ft from a swarm of enemies and only kill a few. I found the orbital strike to be more reliable
Orbital strike is good imo if you don’t have a stupid miss chance on orbital modifier. It has short cooldown and has a short arrival delay. Also doesn’t conflict with other eagle stratagems like the all mighty cluster bomb or airstrike.

@@Rivalont i play with randoms mostly, and 75% of the time it feels like solo because im doing everything. tbh a lot of the achievements i just got playing the game. Things like break all your limbs was just luck though, idk how to do that without dying lol. Maybe get hit by a charger?.
Fly 25 meters from explosion? Get a jetpack and shoot a hellbomb found around maps, then use jumppack and that should do the trick. You could do solo, just pick 1-3 achievements you need and grab the right stratagems then drop in level 6 or lower and it shouldnt be too hard.
Game is in a very weird state so level 6 or lower is the way to go. The ones i do remember doing solo was the Hold my primary, im going in!, Hell Dive, and Gone in 360 Seconds. You def arent bad lol, there is a very big learning curve and many things the game doesnt teach you that you have to just figure out and learn from playing. Even a level 150 can be worse then level 1, and it happens more then youd think. Either way, you’ll get it done. We’re Super Earth’s elite. Never forget that. Godspeed Helldiver o7.

i think i got all the achievements within a week of the game coming out. they're all really easy to get
14:15 last time i played it the rocket launchers can oneshot the charger it depands on the area you hit (i think it was the head or legs idk for shure)
i think they should add more fog, im still able to see my feets sometimes
on higher difficulty the enemy doesnt get bonuses only the spawn pool and rate change
