Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith's game series. Set in a dystopian Cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of "V" (played by Gavin Drea/Cherami Leigh), a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as "Night City", where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic "bio-chip" containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V's mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V's life.
The game's development began following the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine (2016). The game was developed by a team of around 500 people using the REDengine 4 game engine. CD Projekt launched a new division in Wrocław, Poland, and partnered with Digital Scapes, Nvidia, QLOC, and Jali Research to aid the production. Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith was a consultant, and actor Keanu Reeves had a starring role. The original score was led by Marcin Przybyłowicz, and featured the contributions of several licensed artists. After years of anticipation, CD Projekt released Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 4, Stadia, Windows, and Xbox One on 10 December 2020, followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 15 February 2022.
Cyberpunk 2077 received praise from critics for its narrative, setting, and graphics. However, some of its gameplay elements received mixed responses while its themes and representation of transgender characters received some criticism. It was also widely criticized for bugs, particularly in the console versions which suffered from performance problems. Sony removed it from the PlayStation Store from December 2020 to June 2021 while CD Projekt rectified some of the problems. CD Projekt became subject to investigations and class-action lawsuits for their perceived attempts at downplaying the severity of the technical problems before release; these were ultimately cleared with a settlement of US$1.85 million. By September 2022, the game has sold more than 20 million copies. An expansion, Phantom Liberty, is set to release on 26 September 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A sequel was announced.

Imagine if Starfield attempted this instead of 1000 planets with zero Quality and Ai behavior.
i love the new police system, that brings back really fucking fun memories of GTA police chases, i just hope the controller support when playing this game and firing is as snappy as it was in older GTA titles such as liberty city, that game was so fucking fun when dealing with the police in a fast car, going from driving forward to driving backward and shooting the police and then flipping back to driving forward only to do the same thing again and again, it was almost akin to the fast and furious movies while playing in game.
this seems like it's going to function a fuck ton better though.
You are by far the best reviewer of games on RUclips. Thanks for your hard work on this and other games!
so I need a 4090 to play it ?
considering i’ve played the intro 4 times and actually enjoyed it enough to finish the story on the 4th, i’m gonna roll with that save😂
Basically it's sep 2023 and Cyberpunk 2077 has officially released. Replaying it asap.
ut's still super fucking lame it took them THIS LONG. I will never play this game again, CDPR lost my respect and trust. NEver again!!!

@@roenie I personally just didn't bother with the game. I've played and loved games with technical issues (Pokemon Violet comes to mind) but at least they were feature complete and not utterly busted out the wazoo with glitches, at least in my experience.
Cyberpunk 2077 on the other hand was infested with gamebreaking stuff and updates never were a real solution to it. Now not only is it ACTUALLY good now... it even overhauls things that also add stuff from the anime series. So with that said, I'm glad I waited personally, now I feel comfortable enough to give this game a try once I finish my backlog n list of new games I wanna grab.
I guess waiting 3 years to play Cyberpunk was worth it after all :D
Patient gaming is the way
Yeah right? I bought it yesterday. Looking forward to it.
as someone who played at launch at ps4 i still say it was p great, it's just gotten better with time
Haha. Me too. Tried ps5 demo and hated using the joysticks. Couldn't even pass the training parts. But the little gameplay I had got me interested. Plus, recently got NVIDIA 3060 graphic card, so all the stars aligned and I am very happy so far. Only level 12 so getting update 2.0 won't be so weird. Will be interesting to see will I have the same bugs as I do every time I play - some sound would be gone for a minute after a cut scene, one or two times had characters being in T position for a minute in a cut scene or my partner in crime would forget I am doing stealth and starts charging at the enemies that don't even see me. I am so glad I waited so long! Saved money too 🎉
EXACTLY, didn’t touch the game after the intro, I had some hope and here we are 😁
CP 2077 has always been one of the few games that each time I load up, I take a second to just appreciate how good the game looks.

The lighting on the bridge when you are in a massive shootout with the police and trying to get to five stars is INCREDIBLE. No other game looks this good or will for a good while to come.
Cyberpunk is the best looking game out there since it's release, no doubt
@@bardockshinyagree. Not even GTA V can match it.
I had the same thought at that moment. I was genuinely in awe of what I was looking at.
@@purwantiallan5089 I mean gta v is from 2013, ofc it can't match it ahahah
Rockstar should be able to make GTA VI look better than Cyberpunk with the billions they've made off GTA V/Online. The jump in quality from GTA V to RDR 2 was significant, and RDR 2 still is a jaw-droppingly beautiful game itself.
The police star system actually existed before, you just never noticed because they sucked so hard
Yeah. It basically never made any difference despite having the stars showing in the hud.
Wait, there were cops before?
Def not, they could only teleport
@@DarkFlarePrince Yeah, they would teleport behind you like a ninja in anime.
It existed, but wasn't really functional. Biggest issue was, in addition to them having no loot/XP and no reason to kill them, they would spawn every 10-15 seconds no matter what you did, so there was really no end to it, commiting crime of any caliber was just playing the game "wrong". I could one shot the MAXTAC level police, but it didn't matter, they'd just keep coming.
Love how the 5 Star Cyber-Psycho squad is basically what they showed us all those years ago in the first teaser trailer.
They are excactly that. You even get to talk to maxtac in one sidequest and they have a few nice little noss towards that trailer
@martmakesmusic you mean the fact that they are the girl from the trailer?

As a person who adores Cyberpunk 2077, I feel so happy that it’s finally up to the standard that it should of been at launch. I got so incredibly lucky in my 2 play throughs that I never got the game breaking bugs but to see CDPR smash it with the update and all the good things about the dlc is making me so excited
I'm honestly proud of myself for having made the decision to stop playing my copy after some hours after pre-ordering it and then waiting all these years for the most finalized version of it, as this experience is completely night and day. I can actually immerse myself into this world now.
Glad they had the integrity to stay and fix things. Doesn't excuse the release, but that I definitely appreciate in an industry where so many devs just move on after taking your cash.
“Should have” or “Should’ve” is the correct way to say it and spell it. But you wrote “SHOULD OF” ……. which is way wrong and you shouldn’t be offended but it’s definitely something I must tell you before you make more mistakes in the future 😂

I think the game looks insane on highest settings for sure. But that low vs overdrive image showed me just how good the game looked even on low. They really pptimized the shit out of this game
It was a bad example to be honest. Look at proper comparisons and you'll see how massively different this game looks with Overdrive/Path tracing compared to RT and lower settings. Not that it looks terrible without it, but there is a night and day difference.
@@joos3D its just the rt that makes it look really good compared to low which obviously the reflections arent good but low really does look good in this game
@@joos3Dproper example there bro.
I never understood why they had a nice character creation but no 3rd person so you never actually saw your character
@@joos3D I mean you can see the difference here. My point was that low actually maintained a lot of visual fidelity which is impressive. It's clearly better no doubt. But I think it's a testament to how much why optimized this game that low can look as good as it does. I've dropped setting and raised them personally. The lighting makes a huge difference however the textures of the NPCs and the buildings and cars and streets in low are very good. Maybe it's just the art direction? But I'm glad CDPR could get the game to this level of fidelity even at lower settings.
Seeing the police AI working super well, and Maxtac sending in specialised officers of every style to take down cyberpsychos makes me super hyped to make a build that can beat them.
I'm playing it right now and it's such chaos I love it. When you're at five stars in your armored car shooting rockets at everyone and then you hear those sirens, you see a flying vehicule land and maxtac shows up, it's such an amazing and scary feeling. They've turned Maxtac into what they feel like in the anime edgerunners, they are really scary and so powerful, if you're low level they will absolutely crush you
It would be nice if Cyberpunk 2077 had a PvE online multiplayer where you pick different classes, and they send you to different parts of the city to stop cyberpsychos rampaging the city.

This update blew me away. I remember after my first playthrough I thought it was a great game but had the potential to be so much better. After a few patches it was better but i just never thought they'd actually do something like this and revamp the whole game. Im so thankful for CDPR seeing the potential in this title
Alot of 'fixes' are just subjective changes, that might or might not be better, ala crafting, skill trees, cyber implants etc etc. It's great they fixed some of the really onerous issues, like cops. But it's still a typical open world rpg. An ocean wide, and an inch deep. It's fun, but I'll probably always wait on a CDPR game from here on out.

Stats/Perks have always been gated, however the flow of this new revised version is a lot cleaner, flows better, and makes way more sense. I have roughly 325 hours into cyberpunk between 2 playthroughs and despite having so much time into it, I'm actually looking forward to playing a new run through w/ all these new features + the new PL dlc. Looks like a street kid run is in my future (only lifepath I haven't played yet).
I'm going to play Nomad again, because I don't know if they have made lifepath matter more
I’ve just started back playing Cyberpunk after a year long hiatus. It’s definitely different than before with the new perk system. Every god mode style I had created before has now been thrown out the window. So far I’m having fun relearning the perks and how they affect gameplay.
I agree… I’m considering starting a new play today even though I just replayed it a couple months back.
One small detail that annoys me is that the police do not have their sirens on.

I'm guessing this can't be matched on a PS5?
@@TheOGNoNameREALLY close dude
@@raskolnikov6443 Cause it's not realistic as much as it's hyper-realistic.
The game feels practically the same or worse than when i played the Edgerunners update.
Police chases are both annoying, and laughably easy to escape. The only way to deal with them is to not fight them at all, as they will infinitely reappear faster than you can kill them.
Cyberware now has to be unlocked by finding them randomly generated in select lockers around the world, which means after 20 hours of searching i still can't get the Sandevistan i want.
A large critique i had of the Edgerunners update was how squishy the player character was. It has gone way too far in the other direction. Getting 100% mitigation chance is completely trivial, and will make you essentially immortal combined with how plentiful armor is, and how quickly health items recharge. The only threatening enemies continue to be the ones that knock you down and lock you in an 8 second long cutscene.
Using your phone in an elevator will still consistently clip you through it and soft lock you.
Cars will blink in and out of existence in a split second while driving, making me fell like I'm getting cyber psychosis IRL.
Enemies will magically zero in on your location after spotting a dead body despite never having seen you.
Quick melee with a handgun will permanently stun lock almost any enemy in the game, including most bosses.
Silverhand will show up in certain gigs and talk to you as if you're buddies even if you never even started the main quest after the heist.
NPCs will clip through cars to find cover, companion drivers are on a scripted route and will mercilessly tear through anything in their path without impediment, yet the routes are still so poorly made they often drive through solid terrain.
Some perks will inexplicably break others completely, and nothing in the entire intelligence tree with worth engaging with.
Using a ripperdoc and skipping the wakeup cutscene often messes up something with the games graphics and causes everything to be shrouded in a thick ugly orange fog Like I'm playing fallout and the nukes just dropped.
Every new feature or improvement of this version has been bundled with some new issue i didn't have previously. This game is still mediocre at best.
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that thinks this is a complete downgrade, all of this unwavering praise was making me feel insane
@@stratifacations8377for real, I feel like I got a completely different update, the police system feels like a slightly improved mod and the open world is just as boring and pointless to interact with. The combat was already good enough idk what the point of this change was.

Great re-review.
One of my favorite aspects of Cyberpunk since launch was always the vehicles - you can tell the entire vehicle team from the artists, to the modelers to the sound designers all put their utmost love and care into each and every vehicle. Now with the 'final' version, each car feels and sounds *so* much better. The driving model is still just slightly strange, but most weirdness can be tuned out using the Steering Sens slider and deadzone sliders.
It is amazing. Amazing how people were, and still are, so quick to forget what we were told we were getting originally. Upon release, and still to this day, is a watered down pseudo-RPG with hollow af systems and choices that don't mean a damn thing. Far Cry: Deus Ex edition, and nothing more
You're late to the hate party.
/yawn.
I played on PC at release and loved my whole run.
@@robnoel9306 some people just have bad taste, i feel sorry for you.
When I launched the game I was at jig-jig street at night and there was a thick fog, man the way the lights just filled up the whole scene, the ray traced reflections on the ground, the light bouncing off the volumetrics, this is what remasters should aspire to be. The game looks incredible, all while running a lot smoother than Starfield, yes I had to put that cheap shot there.
My first thought too. I get major stutters and barely 40fps in New Atlantis, which is tiny compared to NC. Truly amazing
man starfield just don't compare. the fact there are still fanboys defending it over any other major releases this year is beyond me.
Ikr, my 3070 runs new Atlantis at 50 fps, but it's buttery smooth here with Ray tracing ultra and all settings maxed out
I couldn’t believe it when I turned on the ray traced lighting at night. From off to even medium it makes basically every sign and billboard glow and the way the light illuminates into the environment really is incredible. I only have a 3070 and with all the ray tracing on and using DLSS I manage about 30-40fps but man, it’s worth it for how insane it looks. Devs have done an amazing job bringing this game to where it is now, I’m really hooked and excited for the expansion.
It's almost surreal seeing police vehicle chases being fully implemented. I made a few videos almost 3 years ago showing an instance where police would chase in a very inconsistent and uncoordinated fashion, so I always knew it existed in the game. I figured CDPR or modders would expand on it, crazy that it took this long
Someone let Todd Howard know what THIS gen graphics look like.

The game we should've got in 2020. Took 3 years for a proper police system. Hopefully waiting years for a better version of the game will pay off and the 2.0 update itself isnt a mess. Just never forget the disaster of a state this game was on release.
I'll wait until 3.0 to try it. They took forever to update not all that much.
Sadly, we couldn't because the technology simply wasn't there. Most people were still running last gen consoles, nobody could get their hands on a PS5, and the best GPUs were the rtx 30 series which were all mining Bitcoin. They should've delayed it, but I guess corpos needed to make money and released it anyway-- so they throttled everything way down and forced it on older machines. Really? Sounds good. That was one of the things that bothers me the most before. I know it's not meant to be a shooter, it's an action rpg but you can/have to shoot a lot in this game if you choose this kind of build. And it felt not snappy enough and somewhat redundant. I have to try this!

This honestly just makes the initial release even more baffling. No Man's Sky was Sony pushing the small dev team. But CDPR is big. One thing I feel everyone overlooks is how beautiful and detailed this game is while also not having any loading screens for entering elevators, apartments, areas, etc
Downloading it as I’m watching this video… I had so much fun a year and a half ago with this game and now I can’t imagine how much fun I’m going to have after this incredible update! I’ve playing Fallout 4 lately but I always feel like the game could’ve been so much more… this game may be exactly the experience that I’m looking for.
it seems like the bar is still quite low especially in terms of game systems and AI. Why exactly is it amazing that this game has now implemented 20yo game mechanics?
Because it's fun, you analytical stick-in-the-mud. It doesn't need to be groundbreaking, it just has to be fun, and now it is.
@@MisterAwsome1234 yes. it's 20yo fun, you stick in the mud
@@numberonedad20yo fun is still fun. I bought DOOM which was made in 1993 and it's really fun without mods even today.
@@LiterallyDennis sure the point is it's not anything like the groundbreaking work bethesda claimed it was.
unlike doom starfield has the additional issue of not being fun and having awful gameplay.
@@numberonedad wait a min you are talking about starfeild? Bro you didn't even mention it. This video is about cyberpunk
"It's finally the game we all hoped it would be." Is it? The most disappointing thing about Cyberpunk 2077 to me was the failure to meaningfully allow, support and react to the player's roleplay with dialogue choices, branching quests and alternative solutions that reward different character builds. The Pickup is a great example of a quest with lots of different outcomes and little consequences depending on the player's choices. Sad that many later quests don't live up to it. It's supposed to be a roleplaying game but often can feel like merely a shooter with rpg elements rather than being about the player's story. Doing a bunch of side jobs for the police was not what I imagined spending a lot of time on in my cyber*punk* fantasy of rising from a street rat to a legend.
What about the lifepaths? What about the "forest of choices" they promised? Are there random events? Did they ever finish the train? Can I buy property? What about a garage? Can I customize my vehicles? Can I customize my weapons? Can I have conversations with NPCs? Do the NPCs have routines? What can I DO in Night City other than kill people and break things?
What is so groundbreaking and amazing about this game I literally dont understand.
I honestly loved Cyberpunk in my first run, before 2.0. Now it’s my second run, after 60h of playing, and I’m discovering something totally new. This game is insane. I’ll need a bit more play time to say but maybe my favorite game ever
It's replacing fo3 as my most jaw dropping rpg.
As soon as i jumped into the game the first thing i did was recreating the scene with the max-tac like in the first teaser trailer while listening to "bullets",and once i did it i can tell you i was the happiest man alive😂
As amazing these new Nvidia technologies are we must appreciate that the reason why this game looks so good is the architecture and the way the developers have crafted the world to feel like a believable city of the future
All this is a gimmick to market and sell Nvidia cards, and manipulate to people to buy the high end ones just play this game with Path tracing. But you really just gotta use your eyes to see that Cyberpunk 2077 is not even graphically the best looking game right now. The most complex lighting system maybe. But visually, others like Red Dead 2 or Horizon Forbidden West still look better in many ways.
@@ruok3351Lmao you are actually delusional. Either a console fanboy or an AMD fanboy, but nevertheless delusional. God forbid that a game company wants to make their game look its best, but instead you think its a marketing gimmick. And while yes RDR2 is a good looking game, having played it on PC recently again its definitely showing it's age. It doesn't look anywhere close to as good as Cyberpunk. Youve got your hater shades on bro, the copium is real
@@METALLIFY16 Delusional how? Are you blind or haven't you played that many games? This isn't hard to see. Nvidia partnered with CDPR to sell cards. They market Path Tracing and DLSS so hard while fully knowing the only cards that can even run PT well enough are 4080s and 4090s.
This is what you call "Feature creep". They're adding excessive features so quickly with poor optimization, tanking performances and manipulate people that their 3000 series cards are already outdated and redundant.
Cyberpunk2077 right now have the Nvidia's most complex lighting system with Path Tracing. But the game uses it just for the sake of using it rather than artistically. When you combine path tracing with the average visual fidelity of Cyberpunk, such as the poor low res textures and shading, low poly objects, poor post processing effects, poor physics and simulation - Then there's a reason why Cyberpunk 2077 still looks like a fake theme park full of toys.
You just gotta watch Cyberpunk 2077 side by side with other games. Look at games like Horizon, God of War, Last of Us 2, Watch Dogs Legion, SpiderMan, Dead Space Remake, Demon Souls remake etc. These games rivals if not better looking than Cyberpunk in so many aspects. Red Dead 2 have weather and simulation systems like clouds. rain, storm, snow, dirt and mud that far outclass Cyberpunk.
Heck you can go watch Assassin Creed Unity from 2014 and put it side by side with Cyberpunk, you'll see AC Unity still rivals it easily.
If you can't see any of this, your eyes are clearly broken.
@@ruok3351 I think it comes down to preference but technically speaking RDR2 is a beautiful game because of the game world design feels so organic and natural and asset placement added the advantage of amazing physics and interactivity but you should watch digital foundry break it down technically because the engine they have used is old and the game though looks better than 90% of the games today. The strength of RDR2 is in the details and other games cannot match RDR2 in details because 2000 devs worked on the game. Visually it shows it's age though. RDR2 is also very heavily dependent on it's lighting. Did you observe how awful the game looks early morning when there is no sun or moon light?
@@ruok3351 100%. It only looks this good on a top-of-the-range PC, which means that at base level its not the best looking game...its the PC enabling that. RDR2 on my PS5 looks just as good, if not better, than CP77 on my PS5. And runs more smoothly too.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a classic, Phantom Liberty is an absolute masterpiece 👏👏👏👏👏

I tried to buy a physical copy of Cyberpunk online for PS5 but no online retailers are carrying it. I dont want to pay full price for a digital copy of a 4 year old game :/
I'm pretty sure there is no physical ps5 version you'll have to find a ps4 version somewhere although I could be wrong

Wait until the holidays. I bought it last year during the holidays for $25. I've played the crap out of the game even before the 2.0 changes and Phantom Liberty.
This looks amazing. Sick game Cyberpunk turned out to be
Platinumed this game twice on both ps5 and ps4 (pre patches big pain) and they still manage to do things to make me want to re-platinum it again. Glad this DLC will finally show people what an amazing game this is

Now it seems actually fun to check out! Thanks Luke!
I played 1.7 (?) a year ago. Blown away and completely immersed even on a GTX 1660 Super at 1440p, one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Only experienced a few completely benign glitches, which I can easily explain away in head cannon as coming from my cyberwear. I can't wait to start a new playthrough tomorrow night on my newer 3060. Sure, no DLSS 3.x but I know this is still going to be insane.
Since patch 1.6 we have had clothing transmog with the outfit panel. Any clothing you loot or buy is auto added to your wardrobe library so your clothing could look like anything. I guess not everyone realized that change because I have heard that complaint about clothing armor a few times. The transmog was a nice QOL fix but moving armor to Cyberware we'll see how it plays out I guess. The lighting rework looks great.
Imagine if this game wasn't released up until now. And it came out with this level of detail day 1. Jesus Christ. It would've probably been the greatest release in the last decade
It would be so refreshing if studios did this now. It might only be Rockstar that releases a AAA that doesn't need massive updates immediately (bar the GTA Definitive). I've been so put off by studios in recent years that I can't remember the last Day 1 purchase I made.
With the development and marketing costs they had it seems postponing was off the table. It sucks that CDPR can't be 100% transparent about their decisions without getting sued but I can assure you there have been people who have had "slight" stress and some sleepless nights. 😄
All eggs in one basket, massive development costs, turns out the last-gen consoles can't even run the game, the next generation is not properly out yet and so on. Pretty fucked up situation to find yourself in. Don't get me wrong - I'm still mad at CDPR but I think it always important to understand the viewpoint of the other side as well. If Cyberpunk 2077 failed to sell for one reason or another the future of the entire company could have been compromised.
Companies such as Valve and Rockstar Games can work on expensive projects almost indefinitely because they have continuous sources of massive revenue. Valve through Steam and Rockstar through GTA Online.
@@HMWSportsRockstar failed so much in the last years sadly not a good example anymore.

I’ve done 2 previous play throughs, the first on release I got about 3/4 of the way through the game and decided to put it down until a major update, the 2nd was last year after one of the updates and I got about half way. This feels like what I was hoping for to begin with. I never picked it up when it came out and opted to wait until it went on sale, and even then I only played about 4 hours before giving up. Now I'm loving the game, this is the definitive experience.
Just started playing 2.0 after playing it originally came out. Its a huge improvement compared to playing what it was before. Honestly to the point where it almost feels like a new game. Minus the predictions of missions. Other than that its solid and a huge success compared to the previous version. Highly recommend if you haven't played Cyberpunk 2077, this version is where it should be.
its crazy how after all this time they still havent fixed the massive pop in issues of the game
So Cool to see Luke having a blast! 😆
I love seeing you having fun with a game
Love the new skill tree and attributes set up. Makes me actually think and play completely differently than I would. Sad to see the op stealth revolvers but love the changes nonetheless.
I bought Cyberpunk 2077 and played it day one, spent all my time in the intro area. Did everything there and uninstalled after 2 days of playing. Essentially I intentionally played a over glorified demo after realising quite quickly how bad everything was. Haven't touched it since. Looking forward to finally being able to play a game I anticipated more than any other in close to the state I had hoped it would have been from the start. It's the only game I ever pre-ordered off of the back of The Witcher 3 being my favourite game and what I would consider the best game of all time and never will I pre-order a game ever again.
I beat the game in 1.5.. Obviously the talents and such changed, but it doesn't seem like THAT much of a jump for me to warrant a new playthrough like the developers are "recommending"
Loving this update.
For anyone wondering what makes it so good, enemies are no longer fixed at a level, they level with you. So you can go anywhere you want at any time if you want a fight, the enemies will not be above or below your current level. There is now a broader range of enemies in terms of how they fight (get ready to be spammed with grenades and miss a lot of shots due to their cyberware) and the challenge they present. Even a trio of gang mobs can kill you if you aren't careful in how you fight them (at least on the highest difficultly).
Also, you level much faster at the start of the game, during the 1st Act, so you can get your build up and running that much quicker, rather than having to slog your way through half of the game to feel like you have your build.
Can't add much to the majority of builds, playing as a Net Runner at the moment, but I am loving the changes to quickhacks. You can queue them, which we all know at this point, but queuing them in a specific order can do fun things. For example, hitting them Contagion at Epic level, allows you to use overheat to blow the poison up, making them explode. Or using Cyber Malfunction three times, the first disables their cyberware for 10 secs, the second destroys their cyberware permanently, and the third makes their cyberware electrocute them (electrical damage). So in other words, you can do combos.
All in all, a great update, sorely needed, as the previous version of the game was lame in terms of getting your build started, enemies being too weak once you maxed out, and a general lack of fun due to being overpowered. Now, the combat is far more engaging. Which I like.
Jeez man get a life
Awesome video! Your Content is awesome and you've actually convinced me to give this one another go lol
I have a question for you Luke as you have played the expansion. Would it make sense to start my new playthrough now before the expansion is released? Or are there any differences I would miss out on in the early part of the game if I played them on 2.0 but before I get Phantom Liberty?
There are some new items and stuff, but i think you get all of that stuff only eeally in dogtown anyway so that doesn't matter. And given that you need to progress in the main story befor beeing able to start the dlc, it makes total sense to start now. I think that's also the reason why they released 2.0 a couple day prior to PL
Have a PS4 so cant take part. I wish you all a very fun week playing this, I am with you in spirit!
It looks so good now! The driving is so amazing!
i beat the story in months after launch and still loved it, now got a reason to come back.
Looks amazing, i still feel like the world feels empty with how little npcs there are
Trust me it's not empty
It's sad the game was so shit when it released
This is one of the most substantial If not the most substantial updates I’ve ever experienced. It’s wild. Loved this game from day 1. But as per your recommendation I’m replaying it instead of just jumping into Phantom Liberty
I finally sat down and played the game and now I am actually enjoying it for the first time. Prior to this update, I played the game a month or so ago and it was still bugged as shit, missions would often just not function properly and you'd have to reload the save or the NPC and Vehicles would just bug out, but none of that has happened so far and I'm pretty invested in the game now. It "only" took them 3 years
The story is amazing, so all of this is going make it a complete experience.
