Your Island Tour Vlogs Really Are First Class.. Your very thorough and informative, and show us most of the island, keep up the fantastic work, looking forward to the next . Thanks 👍🏻
Seems like you don’t draw the same kind of crowd the usual vloggers but for me, you’re my favorite. Your style is the most immersive. I’ve been coming to Koh Phangan for well over 20 year but I still might take some of your recommendations when I come back next month 😄 Thanks for everything. It’s much appreciated.
Thanks svnjmr. My style won't be everyone's cup o tea (and that's ok;) but I greatly appreciate the few like yourself who do watch and comment. So, thank YOU! Cheers, STL
STL may need to go the Paddy Doyle face on camera route??? But then again Bangkok 112 never appeared on camera and he was HUGELY popular ... RUclips algorithms work in Strange and Mysterious ways.
Great vlog, My first and only trip to Koh Chang was in the 80's. No electricity-Kerosene lamp, no running water-thai bath, huts on White Sand Beach were USD$3 a night, great if you liked the quiet life
Wow Colin, 80's, must have been amazing on KC! Curious if they had any bungalows up at the North end back then like the one's I saw at 16:30 in my White Sand vid: ruclips.net/video/MK6X7cJyKYo/видео.html Reminded me of Chuck's Huts back in the day on Samui. Of course nothing stays the same anywhere but thankfully still many chill places around Koh Chang by the looks of things. STL
@@SideTripLife hi STL, there were no bungalows at the North end.The whole island was a national park,so just bamboo huts on WSB and each group of huts had a wooden restaurant structure on the beach for meals
I really love your vlogs.....a completely unique style which focuses on the places you visit......its not about you if you know what I mean. A couple of small islands not many vloggers visit are Koh Phayam (also little koh chang) near the Myanmar border......lovely chilled island plus Koh Jum near Lanta......would recommend them.
I did those islands 3 weeks back. loved it, really enjoyed Koh Chang. Had a coffee only in that restaurant on LB but kicking myself for not trying the chicken panang and morning glory! Great video. Did you do a Vlog and stop at Kaibee viewpoint as a you tuber on a motorbike pulled up while we were there! ??
Nice one Mark. Really enjoyed the 3 island tour too. Not likely me you saw but have also seen several youtubers on KC. Panang Gai and morning glory my go-to fav (also pad prik gaeng gai) both were amazing at Porpar.
I am currently staying at sea flower resort, mainly because for your videos, I love this spot, so clean Ice cold AC great bathrooms, and the views are amazing. Thanks for all the info you put out.
Youre my favorite Thailand vlogger and have been for a couple of years now. You consistently find my kind of bargains and I admire how you seem to be truly relaxed and enjoying your solo trips. My impression was that you dont produce YT content for fame and fortune, but just to keep busy and give yourself an excuse to keep traveling. Of course, thats just my own imagination as youve never said that as far as I know, so I guess its silly that I am disappointed that you’d care whether or not YT recommends your videos or not! But hey, here is my comment after watching this one, as requested. Hope it helps you out.
Thanks kindly Acta NonVerba. Deffo not in this for fame etc, just rather disheartening to spend hours filming/editing and get few views. Tempted to do mainly walk n talk style as these are dead easy, take little time and seem far more popular (joking, never going that way;). Or, just enjoy my travels with no cam (seriously). Btw, my latest vid is now also dying on the vine as it's again not on the YT 'suggested vid' algorithm train (where 90%+ views originate from) sigh... STL
Thanks Heather. Was so glad I wandered off to see the next bay. Altho shouldn't really do that on boating/snorkeling/dive tours (but getting left behind all alone at that spot wouldn't be too bad either lol;) Next beach & adventure should be TOPS! See ya. STL

Koh Samui is a bit flatter but the ring road can feel more like a motorway these days. A chap who might know best has a channel called 'the JaYoe Nation'. He rode his recumbent bike throughout Asia. Just looked at his channel now and see he's talking about going back to do Borneo. So, contact him perhaps (and say hello from STL :)

Was up at dawn, went on a three island dive tour followed by a few hours editing once back, plus was checking out early next morning but hey I tried...lol
Thanks Ben. My 1st time visiting KC so I;m not really qualified to answer. However, Koh Chang feels very livable to me, plus has a Makro, Lotus etc but for sure also feels way more chill and yes local vs Samui (a good thing really;) STL

Any plans of travelling and making video on Bali?!
Great vlog,Let us know if the Pattaya-Hua Hin ferry is operational again or will you fly to BKK ? Cheers
Thx Jack. Back to Bkk via road. Not sure if the Seahorse Ferrry is running currently as they were due for a vessel maintenance pause until June last I heard. Suggest contact them via their FB first. Hope they and if possible the Hua Hin run return soon. STL
Good viedo
Thank you William. STL
Direct flights ✈ Samui to Phnom Penh! Khmer Sidey soon?
Thanks! You are the BEST source for Cambodia news update (viewers, click on 'For Riel' channel;). Quick quote from our Bangkok Post: "Cambodia Airways operates two weekly flights, on Tuesday and Friday, between the two stops. It is the first direct link between the two destinations." So Samui-Phnom Penh direct flights are ON woohoo!!!! (might have to give that a whirl meself upcoming;) Cheers, STL
Haha, you need to take an afternoon nap, load up on some caffeine and hit those clubs after midnight. You can do it!
Was up at dawn, went on a three island dive tour followed by a few hours editing once back, plus was checking out early next morning but hey I tried...lol
@@SideTripLife Excuses haha. I'm just giving you a hard time your videos are awesome. 😁
Great video STL. Would you say Koh Chang is a 'liveable' island like Koh Samui. Seems like it might be a bit more local.
Thanks Ben. My 1st time visiting KC so I;m not really qualified to answer. However, Koh Chang feels very livable to me, plus has a Makro, Lotus etc but for sure also feels way more chill and yes local vs Samui (a good thing really;) STL
@@SideTripLife yes definitely a good thing to have a more local feel
thanks again for a great video. Were you able to get the external hard drive to work?
Thank you Kate. My HDD is DOA sadly. Luckily I had already uploaded some stuff I had on it but lost a lot of great footage too (nevermind, had a blast filming it anyways;) STL
Friendly advice...never mix watermelon with food.
I want to get back to Ko Chang. On Samui now. Have you seen any durian around? Enjoy your vids. Thx
Thx for the tip Roy, never thought about that. Durian in abundance in these parts, as talked about in vid 1 of this series. Here's a link as many missed it: ruclips.net/video/PeNkvNbtG6s/видео.html
Hello Sir. I can't remember if I asked if you have plans to go back to khanom? Probly my favorite place of all the spots you have vlogged. P.s. I saw the black keys way, way back in the day here in Buffalo at a small club with about 50 people there. Their first album had just come out. My opinion, magic potion is top of the pile.
Deffo plan to return to Khanom, watch this space. For any who missed my Khanom series, here's an intro: ruclips.net/video/bwVt5uFEyRM/видео.html
The Black Keys in a small club?? You lucky B....!!! Would put Thickfreakness & Magic Potion in a dead heat (and last of the best albums recorded in Pat's basement;) QUOTE: 'Magic Potion was recorded in the basement of drummer Patrick Carney. In his estimation, the record was made using $5,000 worth of crappy equipment'... This little love song is an example of that simple magic: ruclips.net/video/Lebdv0eUvxs/видео.html
