If you're gonna continue on the Savate trend I would HEAVILY recommend Sébastien Farina, Farid Khider, and Richard Sylla. I have a video featuring them on my channel but there's plenty of footage of both Farina and Khider out there.
This match is from the 2015 Savate Boxe Française final at 56kg between Jerry Bart of France and Yuan Peng of China: ruclips.net/video/XH20I5GhEH0/видео.html&ab_channel=FFSAVATEboxefran%C3%A7aise%26D.A. Four basic types of kicks in Boxe française (savate) are called: - fouetté (lash kick): the common lateral one you see the most - chassé (push kick) : chambered kick, frontal or lateral - coup bas (low kick) : the straight hit to the shin with the blade of the foot - revers (reverse kick) : kind of like a backwards fouetté, can also be a roundhouse kick
Favorite kick: Chassé frontal Bas from Savate. Simple, effective, low defense cost, not require much flexibility and easy to combine with kicks and punches. PD: plus effectiveness with shoes on 🥾
This is the reason I don't train kneeing. Not I can chassé bas from the same distance, if both go at the same time, the one kneeing will have one knee less
I think it’s underselling Mike Zambidis’ level to call him simply a Muay Thai fighter. He’s a multiple title world champion and was at the top level of K1 MAX as a smaller fighter. I see it as no surprise he can jump into a different format and do well
Zankifo had amazing head movement for sure, but his opponent was just so heavy the powerful savate kicks hardly did anything. I really want to master a shin kick or roundhouse kick.
do you know that Bruce Lee learned his boxing in Seattle and since Wing Chug has no offencive kicks he when to France and learned Savate and his stance comes from French fencing.
I really like the fluid, "unorthodox" combos by the Savate guy. I like the inside-outside crescent kick- uppercut to the belly combo. I like the way the Savate guy is moving Zambidis' head off line, thus redirecting Mike's charges and making it harder to get corralled.
Could you please repeat in different rounds who is who. In many your videos, such lame person , as me, quickly looses who is Savate and who is Kickboxer
Neither is allowed to fight in their style. Savate is designed to be done with hard wooden shoes that are pointed. Some of their kicks straight up do not work barefoot. This is why they throw snappier stuff- imagine throwing a kick with a steel toed boot- you wouldn't have to hit very hard to do damage. Same goes for savate. So its more like Muay Thai vs Savate in a neutral fight where neither of them can utilize their best stuff.
Samart, a Muay Thai legend also competes in boxing and becomes the WBC bantamweight champion in boxing, Yokthai Sithoar also a Muay Thai legend competes in boxing and becomes the PABA and WBA champion in boxing, Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao featherweight champion in glory kickboxing, Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong former glory kickboxing lightweight champion, Buakaw 2 times k1 world max champion, also there are plenty of muay thai fighters won WBA, WBF, WBC belts
Kongnapa Weerasakreck, former k1 world GP lightweight champion, Kaew fairtex, 3 times K-1 Super Lightweight World Grand Prix Winner, former K-1 Super Lightweight (65kg) Champion

Perfect. Thank you so much for these recommendations! I'll pin you to remind myself!
Look forward to it. I can send you a link to a Savate vs Sanda match as well if you're interested. @@FightCommentary

I'm loving this sudden increase in Savate and Sanda videos
I want to se someone mix savate and sanda
I love these savate breakdowns, keep them coming!

And these Savate guys are fighting serious fighters. Ramon Dekkers and Mike Zambidis are absolute legends.
Been working on japaense jiu jitsu and learning strikes and i guess my favorite kick is just a roind house to the body or a teep kick
Zankifo had amazing head movement for sure, but his opponent was just so heavy the powerful savate kicks hardly did anything. I really want to master a shin kick or roundhouse kick.
I would love to learn the savate reverse kick
I'll ask Coach Nicolas about this!
Shout to Coach Nic!

Nice!
I like the spinning side kick, and spinning hook kick 🤔 Hope i named them right 😅
This is NOT the first comment
My favorite kick is an oblique kick.

Shouldnt it be Savate guy takes on Muy Thai who is not allowed to fight Muy Thai style.

Notice the the savateur is not throwing stomp kicks to the knee
Muay Thai guys are Tough but without Thai clinch and elbows they became average, That's why you never see a Thai Guy in Boxing or Kickboxing.

@@ThePhenom9x There was also Somrak Kamsing who won Olympic gold in boxing. I know it's for amateurs, but still pretty good.
