I'm a slip ons guy and I'm honestly a bit triggered right now, but not really. Shoes are like shoes, everyone has their own taste in them.

I was a heavy slip ons guy until I kept spraining my ankle in them, but the board feel for flick tricks is unimaginable makes tech things so much easier.

So do globes for me honestly, they slip on easily you dont need to tie them every time, but the padding keeps them on, I always assumed all skate shoes were that way

Slips are the best shoes for kickflips for about 12 minutes, then the outside of your foot starts to bleed lol

as a late 90’s skater, i’ll always wear puffy shoes to skate in. I dont do enough tech to need board feel. I do like the look of a slimmer shoe but the trade off for me and my feets isn’t worth it. # protect those dawggies 🐶🐶🦶🏻

@@theequasian3823 thats cool and understood depending on what and where you’re skating. I would rather wear a pair of DC’s I have w full air cushion if I was to hypothetically do stairs or handrails but those days have long since passed considering i’m getting over a low back injury (disc herniations that push on my sciatic and perineal nerve root causing my right leg to be on fire at times...it’s also messed up my hip socket) so be aware n take care of yourself especially your lower back n core bc once it goes it takes a while to heal as you get older...I have slimmer shoes for reg park cruising and flip tricks

i use "no tie laces" from amazon in all my shoes. they are just silicone bands pretty much but make your shoes look dope and no extra laces to snag on shit. and they don't get wet.
Y’all killed that setup! As for slip-ons I feel like they’re meant for casual walking/ lounging. I’m too old to even try to skate them. Definitely need more padding!

I’ve been skating slip on’s exclusively for like five years now. I can’t not have that board feel! And honestly they are just sleek and easy. Usually I skate Vans slip on’s, but right now I’m skating the Adidas Schmoofoil Gonz slip on’s, and i really like them.

@@tyer4946 but there’s certain types of lacing loops that’ll guard from breaking, and how the shoes are made can make a difference I think. some shoes have the lace holes super low n wide which I think makes them more prone to wear n breaking.
I skated the adidas match court slip ons for about 2 years. I just hated replacing my shoe laces all the time.

I wore slip on Emerica skate shoes as my daily pair for nearly one year and developed bad plantar fasciitis in my foot. There’s just not enough support for your arch to be wearing them every day.

Hey, so if you ever decide to try something like this again I suggest rachet straps. Haven't watched yet but I'm betting the Duck tape won't do much. A strap would pull everything into each other.

As long as u get slip on shoes that are meant for skating like vans pros or idk like any other skate shoe brand that has a slip on skate option you’ll be fine. But yea I mean it’s more convenient cause they’re easy to take on and off. But yea I agree with the lack of protection but I’ll say slip ons are good for low impact skating. Also if you don’t care about getting shinners and hitting your ankle 🤣🤣
