Well, the Sunlight travels in th form of electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic waves require no medium, because they are made out of oscillations of electric and magnetic field fields. Energy transfer from electric to magnetic field and then from magnetic field to electric field. By this process, energy travels from one place to another through electromagnetic waves or EM waves.
While in convection process, air molecules absorb energy from the flames or candle; they (molecules) become less denser and raise up. When these molecules come in contact with your body, you feel the hotness...

Heat don't need medium
There are mediums in convection...the air particles in gas and liquid...it absorbed heat then contacts in your body and you feel the heat...

Well, Heat can also transfer from a human body by convection.
For example, if you enter to a cold room, the air particles will absorb heat from your hot body and will rise up...
Secondly, during exhalation the gaseous particles of carbon dioxide absorb heat from your body, and it comes out. Although, it is due to difference in atmospheric pressure that you inhale and exhale, but carbon dioxide molecules absorb heat from the respiratory track and comes out...
2) When you switch on the heater during winter, the surrounding air molecules come in contact with the hot heater and heat transfer from hot heater to the cold molecules of air. As a result, they get lightness and rise up... This is an example of convection.
Secondly, when you keep some cooking pot on a heater, the particles of the cooking pot absorb heat from the heater, this an example of heat transfer by conduction.
