Great job. I love my 880. I've put about 20,000 pellets through it in the last year. I shoot between 20-80 yards mostly. I have the same Barska scope too as I've said before. Last week I just got the Umarex Origin pcp rifle and pump combo. I bought another identical barska. I love the origin. Awesome super accurate rifle that like the 880 you can also have control over your shots power. Note on traps. I had one mouse about a month ago. Took me all weekend to get him. Would lick the trap clean everytime. I ended up tweaking on that little metal tab to make it more like a hair trigger. Got him. Anyway, happy hunting!
There's alot of great mods for these 880s. Super easy to do and most of the mods can be found in an everyday home. Barrel mod is easy just some quick wraps of electrical tape. Sticking a plastic card into the stock where it braces up against the spring to help lighten its pull.
@@kageodst1 I did the "trigger job". Definitely made a difference, but it's still pretty heavy compared to PCP rifles and such. I really want to get one of those Winchester 1977X models. It's an 880 copy basically, but has a good bit more power.
Nice shot! Man those 880's are great rifles, so versatile with the variable power, and also very accurate. I have used an 880 for squirrel hunting for nearly 50 years. I got my first 880 in 1972, the next one in 1985 and the next one about ten years ago. I still have the old ones, and have re-sealed them both at least three times over the years. All of them are awesome and great for squirrel hunting, much cheaper, safer, and quieter than hunting with a .22 rifle. I have inexpensive scopes on all of them which work fine for hunting at 30 yards or less.
I keep the scope mine came with cause I'm broke but it's still pretty accurate I've already zeroed mine its not the best but it works I run some piranha pellets In it or crossman destroyer
I have the exact same 880 and the same scope. I also have the Crosman 2100. My only complaint with the 880, with a scope mounted, is getting a pellet into the chamber. Even so, the 880 has a better feel than the 2100. Both shoot great but I still prefer the 880. For accuracy, I always do 8 pumps, and have no problem hitting a golf ball at 40 yards.
Same...Sometimes the chamber is a pain.. especially when you're trying reload for a follow up shot. I wonder if they should add A way to install a magazine to it.. but yet again it good as it is. I heard they had a 880 for 22 Caliber at one point... I wonder why they stop making them?
It been years since I had a mice/rat problem. The cats have been having the most fun with them. Yeah wasted like over 100$ on night vision equipment... But I finally put it to use on a backyard bully.
CO POWWWW! The 880

Nice job Red, I enjoyed this video!
Hill country fare... Bought at H-E-B... I'm in Cove myself. Had more scorpions than mice or rats.
Using pellets or BB's?
What distances were you shooting at?
Was around 20 ft with the hollow point Crosman 177 cal pellets (3 pumps with the Daisy 880)
