I’d like to see this again, or something like it in a different league maybe, but add a rule that if you try to push it by going for a player that’s slightly over and having the limit bid rejected, the other person gets to make an offer on a player they want, until you both take a player from the squad. There should be some risk/reward to trying to push the pricing.
Thought the same, either switch so the other gets to make their pick if a offer is rejected or maybe something like "next offer for a player at this club gets reduced by 2-3 million".
Also other idea I had: At the start put together 20 different sums (like lets say 5 million, 10 million, 15 million and keep going like that till 100 million) and you can use each sum only once for a club. Could add some randomness into it too by instead of chosing you put the sums on card and you pull one at random.
Imagine a 5 year versus rebuild with these teams now...
Reckon it’d be more fun that if you get turned down 3 times you can’t have anyone from the team
Quite surprising turn of events tbh. Luke’s final position is amazing for such a makeshift squad. Few of your choices were bit bizarre, but that makes the beauty pf the game - there are various ways to succeed. Was a good watch!

The way the picks were made isn't the best, I would go from top to bottom, take turns and with each club you take turns and if you get a bid rejected you miss a turn until each person has 1 player each from that club. This way the rejected bids mean nothing

Nice concept, tbf any concept becomes unique when there's a vs challenge involved, and that is the brilliance of your channel mate.
these vs challenge won't need a 5 year rebuild, but you can do for a different top 5 league where dad might not know players from every club, that would give an added challenge in itself😅

Add additional seasons to this and make it a series! You could release players and pick up players from the team they originally played for…
Or something else depending on what works!
Love the content, you should do if your bid gets rejected on a player that’s your turn and other person gets next pick

50 million pound per player, 4 players from each of the top 5 leagues. As a little caveat you get 2 wild card picks (still 50 million but can be players from any of those top 5 league) to make your squad of 22 players.

I only have 1 gripe with it, the fact one had Europe and one didnt. Also means that clubs might ask for more money from the team in europe cause they have that extra revenue stream
Would be good to see you do a challenge where you have to play a defensive tactic. Maybe with some newly promoted teams
You should do this over all over the big leagues (just adjust the transfer fee if needed)
i would like to see a 5 year run with 1 of these, and make it where if any of your players retire you have to go to that team original team to replace

Do a challenge based on Bilbao policy only basque allowed. So you could do a Yorkshire Vs Lancashire challenge? Only players born in a certain area can be signed.

just do a draft with only you 2 you can step up a limit budget and then each of you gets a pick.
Then just edit your teams into the game with the editor as I assume you already do

How about a 5 year vs rebuild (maybe longer) but every season you can also steal a player off each other (once stolen they can’t be moved again)

Survival challenge. Start as a newly promoted prem side. You get to keep one player in that squad. Then you make 24 signings from the championship. Can you keep the team up with Championship signings only

Surely you have to make sure you get enough Homegrown players for registration? Luke’s squad I’m not sure makes it? 🤔
Do a 5 year rebuild In this style but after 1st season u can only buy 3 players in summer transfer market an only from same league. But again the players have to be available for 50 Million an a spinning wheel picks ur 3 teams to buy from. Then the last 3 seasons u have 1 wild card buy. Any player in the game but limited to 30 million buy clause
Do this but you choose from clubs in Champions League. You must choose two clubs that plays in Champions League

I reckon you should do another vs Dad £50mil challenge but maybe with Serie A, Ligue 1 or La Liga with Mid-Table teams like Betis & Villarreal in Spain or Rennes 😂 & Reims in France just a suggestion but I think that'd be interesting 👍

What's the best way to simulate FM this year? Just re-started playing after a few years and want to do a longer term save, with less match to match management
You can set your team up , play about 4 games until the transfer window closes , then go on holiday , pick the date you want to come back , either for the January transfer window or end of season June 1st 👍

Why don’t you put all the major nations in the game in a hat, you both pick a nation from the hat. Using a donor club in the prem then you can only select players from that country for your team (no restrictions). So for example if you picked Finland, your entire team will have to be made up of Finnish players. (Maybe set a total spending cap of 500mil)
