What I hate about getting older is that I can still do the same stuff today. But no matter what, it’s NEVER going to feel the same way it did playing neopets at my cousin’s house over the weekend in 1999.

this comment hit hard for me because this is how I got introduced to neopets but it was around 2001-2004 at my cousins.
God, yes. The feels when you were visiting relatives, but you had to use their PC to check on your neopets.
I actually really miss Key Quest, it was the best part of Neopets for me

I think the death of Flash was part of the problem and being bought by Jumpstart. I am a Jumpstart fan, I used to play Jumpstart First Grade all the time, but they aren't managing the site too well I feel.
So sad we never got the end of the trilogy with jumpstart 3rd grade

For you to cover Neopets means a lot. Is it worth money? No. However it brings back amazing memories when I see Neopets and the way you calmly described how far Neopets faded into just a quick marketing stream means a lot. Even though I am upset that the way Neopets went in the direction that they did the fact you were able to explain without no BS brings a calmness to my childhood spirit. Thank you. Just, thank you.
I played back innthe day when it first came out. Had all of the toys too. But it phased out from me and everyone i knew.. forgot it existed for a long time

I surprise myself that I was 8-9 years-old when I started to play Neopets and still at the light of this day I still at least check the account on my 25-26 years-old 😂😅…

I sometimes want to get back into Neopets, but I put so much love and time into my old account. I sometimes try getting back into it, but the glamour just isn't there.

I'd like to see a video on Endless Online or Gaiaonline, those are 2 other early 2000's MMOs that are still around in some form today (The former is only private servers but recently the main creator has come back with a new website and client updates and is supporting the pservers)

love the video!! i was (and am) a huge neopets fan. unfortunately, after one of the recent data breaches (when i say "one of the" you know it's bad LOL) a lot of users got locked out since the website manually reset people's passwords and not everyone got notified to change it. so for people who don't have access to the original email they used to make their account, they're kind screwed :( you have to put in a ticket and go through this whole process to get it back. and if you can't even remember the email you used then you likely can't get into your account again at all. sucks a lot

even the complexity of habbo has been correctly carried out today in the user experience in neopets once you enter today you don't know it... it's a shame I feel that my inner child from 2008 is still trapped wanting to play their games favorites without flash player hahaha .. Hopefully in a few years I can have the same experience I loved key quest it was the best

I never played Neopets (and quite frankly, I'm glad that's the case with all the breaches and issues), but I *did* play PetPet Park back in 2010. I'd love to see more people talk about that game, as a lot of people kind of forgot it existed. The most popular PetPet Park video on RUclips never even surpassed 100k views, for example.
But regardless, nice video, and I appreciate it being short and to the point.

I remember playing the game, I wanted a “Paint brush” sooooo bad. But they were so expensive. It motivated to get one.
One days I got online and they introduced real world money to buy in game currency. Everyone had a cool NeoPet all dressed up.
It made me quit the game. What’s the point saving up for a Royal Brush if you can just buy a cool cosmetic
