🔔 To what extent do you think Caitlin Clark should express her frustration during games, considering her role as a role model for young people? Let us know in the comments!

It’s funny. CC loses her cool for a moment. Happens. Then folks questioning her as a role model. I wonder, 🤔, has anyone ever seen MJ, who I consider one of the best to ever have played the game, not lose his cool? Of course not. And EVERYONE still used him as a role model. Still do. Even he had his limit. And watch out once he got there. He made you pay. He backed down to no one. LeBron too. CC is doing just fine. She has her limits. She’s human. Still one helluva player and teammate. And she’s a great role model as well.

Team Fever should provide an enforcer who would protect CC 22 from these kind of players. It's the other players are over-doing their defensive tactics. It's blocking fouls and refs does not call it.

Magic Johnson had the same issue his rookie year. People weren't expecting the ball, couldn't handle the ball, or even running through the screens at full speed because they didn't think they would get a pass.

I'm a woman and I'm embarrassed by many of the behaviours that I've seen on the WNBA court exhibited by these "professional" athletes. Acting like elementary school children instead of professionals. The coaches don't seem to be better and don't seem to know how to answer the same kind of questions posed to other athletes and coaches at a professional level. It's top down failure. However, some of the blame goes to the journalists as well. Why would they constantly ask other athletes about CC22? Ask questions pertaining to that athlete and the game. And let's face it, some of those journalists ask the same old boring questions. Nonetheless, these people seem to be unable or unwilling to pivot and make changes to help themselves. Even as a non athlete people need to be coachable if they want to improve.

She wasn't just hugging her, she was flopping/rubbing on her in a very odd way. If that was a man who flopped/rubbed up against her in that way, we'd all be saying he was trying to get a feel, or something. I'm sorry, I'm not sure if that woman is straight, or not, but I would have been completely grossed out by her actions. It was not normal and I would have gotten very upset and pushed her off myself...You see CC tell her to stop flopping on her. So, to me, it wasn't the blocking it was how she was flopping/rubbing up against her that was upsetting CC....

But i had a girl to this, holding my jersey, almost kissing me, lol and i got tired of it , so when i was running down the court, i saw her coming from the side and i purposely stop holding the ball up, ELBOW out and acted like i was going to pass with quick UNNATURAL lol left jerk aiming perfectly to her nose as she “ran into my elbow” lol. Look, was it petty, yes… do i regret it ? No, it was a life lesson for her.. want to cross personal space, then suffer an elbow jab to the nose. Bet she never did that again! Lol

If you’ve ever played competitive basketball, especially pick up games on an outdoor court, you can’t let someone push you around. Vanderloo was actually fouling Clark continually with her “spandex”defense. You have to give the offensive player room to move. Instead Vanderloo was continually bodying Clark. I have to fault the refs for allowing it to go on so long that Clark felt she had to fight back and get more physical. I would have done the same thing as Clark, and did so many times against defender that seemed to want to wear my short the same time that so was wearing them.

What is the next step ?
If a defense put her finger in the eye of CC and end her career, will it be enough for the referees to act and do their jobs ?
If a player have the ball and a défense put her hand in the face of the offence and nothing happens, is it normal that when you don’t have the ball to have a défense in your own shorts ?

Clark has been pounded by the opposition since she came into the league and those opposing benches are seen cheering for the big hit. She has every right to fight back against those players who wish to try and intimidate her instead of playing the game.

Regarding Clark's managing her emotions, she has done a darn good job. She has faced refs not making calls, players cheap shotting her, players, coaches, the league, former players, sports commentators dissing her, her own coach and teammates holding her back, Team USA passing her over, being held off the skills comp at the Allstars, then she pushes off on Vindy, and suddenly gets criticized? Hasn't she been criticized for not sticking up for herself enough? Meanwhile, she talks sweetly and positively about the league whenever interviewed. Go figure!

Refs in all sports are totally loosing their skills, maybe they are all getting paid too much money for doing the wrong thing for the game and the players. Cut the crap …… do the right thing, not what’s good for you.
    Unfortunately sports have become a
joke. Anyone can see it in all sports, football, basketball, looks like the
Olympics now as well …… When they report that viewership, and or, attendance is down ….NOW U KNOW WHY ……. Disgusting

Where the heck are the referees, they don't call all the fouls this kid endures because of the lack of doing their jobs. Her coach should be hollering to the refs. But Caitlin will feed off of these problems just like she's doing now. No leadership from other of her shitty teammates, this young lady just started her career, who's the team captain, she should step in, and be on Caitlins side.

I had to laugh when she tottered about as though she was going to fall so that she could claim Clark was the aggressor.

You can't look at just the finial blow up you need to look at the entire game. How much blocking and holding went on when she didn't have the ball. With CC style of play there will be turn overs. High reward comes with high risk.

honestly, I would understand (sympathies) the pressure she would be in with that game, especially being smothered constantly by a defender, trying to put you on the edge. But I wouldn't be saying "she needs to be more careful and be an example for the kids" I don't think viewers who made those statements would understand that pressure in a game like that. She tried to show that frustration , channeling that towards the scoring, passing and trying to be a good teammate.
