I’ve been a Crossbreed user for over 10 years, and I will say they make a great product. As for your question about the heat…it does get a little warm during the hot part of summer. Not so much so that I don’t want to use it. The leather will absorb a lot of sweat and transfer that to your firearm. They definitely stand behind their products too. I just sent back a 9 year old super tuck, that was cracking in the Kydex and they sent me a brand new replacement. If there is anything bad about that, is having to break in a new holster (which takes a few months of wearing every day!).
I've been carrying my Super Tuck Deluxe with Combat Cut & standard leather backing for probably about five years now. Love it whether it is sub zero temps as the leather is warmer than kydex, or 100 degrees and extremely humid as the leather against the skin vs sweaty kydex is more comfortable to me. I carry at about 4 O'clock, but want to start carrying appendix for a few reasons, & am curious to know how this will be for my G19.
My experience has been almost the same. Carrying crossbreed every day for 11 years. They just sent me a brand new mini tuck because my 7 year old one developed a crack in the kydex. I can’t really compare it to anything because I have always carried crossbreed, but It doesn’t bother me, even in 100 degree weather. I truly forget it’s there against my skin because it’s broken is so well. I mostly use the horsehide but cowhide has been great too.
@@henrybomba6428 depending on the firearm it could potentially cause rusting. I’ve taken mine out of the holster and there’s beads of moisture on it from the sweat. I wipe it down in the evening and let the holster air dry overnight. No rust problems.
I personally love the Reckoning holster for its comfort. It has great retention and covers the trigger guard. The con is, the holsters, I have 2 for a Glock 19 and 43, both cracked twice where the claw is attached. The company is great with their customer service and sent replacements within a week or so. But it happened twice and the claws broke twice as well. I just attached the new shell for my 19 on my already broken in backer. Yesterday I took my holster off and the new claw broke, again, and came out the bottom of my pants. I’ve had these holsters for 2 plus years now but with the cracking shell and breaking claw I am seriously looking at other holster options.
Hey thanks for this great information. I am familiar with crossbreed as I have two of them but I don’t have this one, the reckoning. I like your style, your delivery, and the length of your videos was spot on. Appreciate you and really learned a lot here.
My favorite thing for striker feedback when re holstering is the striker control back plate. Holstering with your thumb on the back of the slide. If the trigger starts to get pulled for any reason it will push against your thumb either stopping it or giving you a chance to stop it.

If you're going somewhere in the world with no electricity or lighting at night time, get a light. I have lights on a few firearms around the house only because sometimes in bad storms, electricity goes out. But for everyday going to a grocery store or family trips, I don't see how a light is practical or useful. It's what all the cool kids are doing, but it's just added weight. Small frame you will need a smaller pistol like a bodyguard 380, LCP MAX, LCP II .22 LR, S&W 380 EZ. The shield plus is just too big a gun to conceal and be comfortable sitting or driving. A pocket gun or purse gun maybe a fit for you. I recommend using federal punch or HST defense ammo! Military types only carry 9mm or larger caliber ammo. Newbies need to built confidence and experience with 22, or .380 first. Important to practice dry firing and drawing the pistol from concealment.
check out n8 tactical! I'm 5'6 and used to carry a shield 9mm until i upgraded to the m&p 9 pro, and n8 tacticals "professional" holster was the most comfortable IWB I tried with that gun and the most discreet. I also recommend getting one of crossbreed's gun belt, it is so much better than any of the other leather gun belts ive tried.
The USCCA has a recoupment clause, which nullifies anything good about it.
And for that reason, when I come to firearm-related RUclipsrs who recommend it, I immediately consider the positions they advance to be suspect.
No offense, but consider this, if I’m looking for automobile advice and the person I’m asking also suggests that I buy a ‘72 Pinto, I’m gonna have no choice but to wonder about that person’s advice generally.
God bless.
I had No clue what a recoupment clause was, I had to Google it. Thanks
I saw a guy shoot himself in the thigh during a mandela drill, fuck no would I appendix carry. just asking for castration during a high stress situation.

You live in a Commie state bro. My family is from Warwick, I feel bad for the ones still there(regarding gun laws)
Yeah I don’t belong up here
@@TiberiousGib you’re a good guy!
Bad costumer service.
I’m surprised, I’ve had great luck
@Tiberious Gib Ordered a holster and they sent a color for gun holster and a different color for mag holster, also missing pieces and worst of all the gun fits terrible in the holster.
I returned this thing after about 10 minutes of bringing it home. Absolutely garbage for the money
Sorry to hear you say that, what didn’t you like?
Can this holster accept weapon lights????
They do have a few that take weapon lights
@@TiberiousGib i want to get this exact same holster but with a weapon light Capability
interesting to see you using it in and out in your drills have you noticed wear on your gun
No wear on the gun but I did get some rust
Do you prefer this or the rogue?
I no longer support crossbreed, they have a dishonest marketing team. The holsters are solid.
