    • @roycheng4206
      @roycheng4206 2 года назад +8

      @@nyriad7812 so basically to make a decimal a percentage, u have to multiply it by 100 which means you have to move the decimal point 2 places to the right. So in order to make a percentage a decimal, you have to do the opposite and divide it by 100. So basically 30%= 30/100=0.3 and 0.3 = 0.3 x 100% = 30%. idk if I explained it well but I hope it helped

    Hi you can also do it another way for example increase 240 by 40% and you can add 40 percent to 100 which gives us 140 percent then you put it in a decimal so 1.4 times 240 equals 336 and decrease for example decrease 140 by 20% so you do 100 take away 20 so it’s 80 than you do 0.8 times 140 which is 112 your vids are amazing keep up the good work

    GUYS THERE'S A MUCH EASIER WAY TO DO THIS AND ITS REALLY SIMPLE
    if u wanna increase any number by any percentage you do:
    X × 100+%/100
    and if it's decrease:
    X × 100-%/100
    so for example; increase 120 by 40%
    a. 120 × 140/100
    =1
    168
    or reduce 120 by 40%
    a. 120 × 60/100
    =72
    *this works with higher percentages and lower percentages as well
