I was having trouble recognizing angles in segments before this video. But this video cleared all my confusions regarding this topic. Great video. Even the examples taken were difficult and great, considering this video is made to help students.
Have you an idea? How can I solve this problem, please? Given a square ABCD of side 10 cm, and using the corners as centers ,construct four quadrants with radius 10 cm each inside the square. The four arcs intersect at P,Q, R and S . Find the area enclosed by PQRS. Thank you so much .
11:54 is it not angles of the same segment? Isn't angle CAB and COB 58°? I'm so confused 😕😭 Or does it have to be on the circumference for the theorem (angles in the same segment) to apply?
The angle at the centre and circumference must start and end at the same points. COB and CAB both start at C and end at B so they come from the chord CB. Angle ABC however comes from the chord AC.
@@pinkflamingo_ it was really good! No circle theorems came up on it but I bet that just means that P4 (which I’ve got tmrw) is packed with them. I made a few mistakes but I calculated the lowest I can get and it’s around a 85%, so I think it’s a guaranteed A :D
1: Angles in same segment are equal. 2:angles in a semicircle or on diameter is right angle mean 90°.3: the angle at the centre is twice the angle at the circumference.
best videos!!! but just one question, are there not 8 Theorems? the one that goes " the radius through a midpoint of a chord will bisect the chord at 90 degrees"
Another way to calculate angle BCF in the second worked example is toagain observe ACD is 35 deg (isoceles triangle) and ACB is 90 deg (since AB is a diameter), so angle BCD is 125. This means that BAD is 55 deg (cycilc quadrilateral) so BAD is 20 deg (55 deg - 35 deg) as is BCF.
Example 2: It's much easier: ACD = 35°; because the legs of the triangle are the same lenght ACB = 90°; same reason (Diameter) DCE = 35° (Last theorem) FCB = 180° - 35° - 35° - 90° = 20°

I was in a 2 hour class about circle theorems and this video helped me more than that class
My teacher just posted a four hour lecture about it, when this 14 minute video covers it all.

For the angles in the same segment they both need to be on the circumference. I think you worked this one out yourself :)
i love your videos please don't die
I promise, I will never die.
good luck to everyone watching 30 minutes before the exam

Hello thank you so much. Is isoceles triangle's angle 35°?
Is there any video which shows all the proofs for the theorems

Less than 12 hours till my exam am i cooked?
nuh uh, if ur revising circle theorems then you must have at least enough knowledge to pass
Less than 2 hours until exam,,. Probably not cooked
how did you know for the last example that the angle at the circumference was double that at the centre was applied to angle CAB and not ABC?
The angle at the centre and circumference must start and end at the same points. COB and CAB both start at C and end at B so they come from the chord CB.
Angle ABC however comes from the chord AC.

These are way better than the theorems and how they’re presented in American texts. Nicely done.

Im not suprised
My teacher always talked about angles "subtended"
this explanation is better than teaching on a board...thank you so much ...God bless U🤩
