We've seen how far Andreeva and Korneeva, last year's finalists, have come in just one year, so hopefully we'll see these two have a similar breakthrough.
Emerson is only 15 years old. Not sure how tall she is, but Renata is 173 cm, and looks quite a lot taller. Renata isn't a "giant", just that Emerson is young and still growing.
Not gonna be tall … check out Taylah Preston. Headed for that same height. If you compare hunter to siniakova, you’ll get my drift. Aussie girls usually short. Malik was a giant in comparison, former top 10 player.
@@squidjames7735 I guess it depends on what you define as short. But even so, there are plenty of successful tennis players who are not basketballer sized.
True, Barty was a pocket rocket, height not always critical, but blessing to have. Jones is the only junior both genders that is showing promise to date. Have been following her for past few years, and she amazes. 👏
@@squidjames7735 I would moderate my expectations of Emerson. If you had a look at the match and serve speeds, she is serving well below comparable high level players. In the Petit As tournament (14 year olds), Clervie N. was serving at 189 kph. That match is on YT here somewhere, and I would suggest having a look. Emerson is a great layer, but she is seriously lacking in power compared to many other 15 year olds. She was steamrolled here, and for good reason.
Rena is 5'-8" tall, that is a decent height for a tennis player and still has a couple of more inches to grow into. Emmy is I don't know her height, but Rena towered over her: she is likely around 5'-3" tall, with several inches to grow into. She'll surely be one of the short players in the WTA. I hope she does well eventually.
it doesnt matter if she doenst, there has been many decent small players. i know novak looks tall but ive met him twice. would have to say his smaller than me. not by much & im not that tall…but novak looks tall compared to many others
The suffix doesn't have much meaning anymore. Jackson, for example, is seen as one name rather than 'son of Jack.' Emerson sounds male, actually, but I think it's an excellent name for a female.

Jones not ready yet for sure. Jamrichova could have a breakthrough in the wta possibly
jamrichova lefty forehand is elite
No grunting or screaming for either players. That’s refreshing. ☺️
Jamrichova won the AO Doubles last year too

Renata Wellcome to elite players

It’s gonna be a disadvantage, and without a full court high IQ game like Barty, she’ll have to go hard.
Renata was 5'11"
Awesome both players
Too big, too strong. Renata is ripe for the WTA.
Emerson has alot of heart and talent even though she didn't win. Hope she grows a little taller being only 15.

Just started watching good to see all sports stay good on health kamari Evans
can you post the full match please?
She is a giant.
173 cm.
the other gal was short, so yeah!
@@bigrobsydney She is currently 180 cm if you google her numbers.
A cakewalk. Slovakian too good.
Renata Jamrichova plays exactly like Petra Kvitova. Ironically with Nike gear and Wilson Racquet.
Even I thought same
Yes, but I recognized the style of prime Laura Robson actually
Hi Australian open :)
可愛的明日之星😊
They seemed to be hitting harder than womens
Emerson plays to fast, taking the balls so early wow...
Emerson is a weird name for a girl, as 'son' in a suffix means 'the son of'

From Roy Emerson I guess
🇹🇷🌹
Excellent tennis woman, but very bad actress
FIRST
She is so fake lol, to be honest Emerson has more potential I think
Could be, has to stay injury free. She has game, fo sho.
