Ok that sausage seller is Definetly Cut-Me-Own-Throat-Dibbler especially with Kathleen voicing the role and her love of Discworld. I expected the line "so fresh the pig doesn't even realize it's missing"
this is an absolutely delightful trek of charming banality, i adore every moment of it. also i have to not look at the lower third because "noganoganog and his dogadogadog" keeps murdering me with laughter
I notice how Kathleen seems to have a thing with importing banal, modern-day stuff like summer camp and municipal regulations into fantasy settings. The contrast is ripe terrain for humor. Like "The Tick," or perhaps the most relevant comparison would be the work of the late, great Sir Terry.
I may be a bit late to this campaign in general but I need to share that words cannot express how hard I snorted when I read this comment and realized how correct it is. I share your love for Serge on dental anaesthesia.
The kurlll, who are often Grull or Golgari actually lobby for 0% insect meat in sausages.Coz, that's like people. YOUR EATING PEOPLE! *angry mandible chittering*
I'm so happy that I called the Camp Nettlebee music now being used as a leitmotif for "Kathleen is DMing this campaign," the same way they used Burning Bright's theme music for Music of the Spheres.
I think Noganoganog and his dogadogadog is one of the most satisfying names/phrases I've ever heard lol. I always love the characters these guys come up with
My friends and I are playing a Ravnica D&D adventure too. It's interesting to see this one with all of the seemingly lawful good guild characters. We have only one lawful good character in our bunch, an Azorius minotaur. Then the rest of include Gruul, Golgari, Izzet, and Orzhov. In one of our past sessions we sold an npc to a Rakdos brothel, which Azorius and Orzhov were against, but the rest of us overruled their vote
Dnd is not really my cup of tea so i usually leave about 20 mins in to these but damn was the themeing and kathleens storytelling great on this, loved the whole thing
Did not expect this to be one of my favorite campaigns, but here we are! Also I haven’t seen Kathleen as a DM before this, she is so creative and delightful 💓 Ps. Ty Heather 💓💓💓
once we got to the third drunk person, it finally hit me what this reminds me of: This is the Ravnica version of the Paranoia RPG (which is one of my favorite systems to run due to the chaos I can inflict on my players)
At 30:00: the novella "Group Portrait with Lady" by Heinrich Böll pays great attention to a nun, nicknamed "the haruspica," who takes a peculiar interest in human excrement. Heinrich Böll won the Nobel prize for literature in 1972. Ben, there is nothing low brow about clean poops.
OMG, this is 10 episodes. I have always wanted to finally get back to watching this after starting in D&D. I figured it'd be like...4. well, here we go
Uh... a dog would absolutely mind being in a sewer. That's how you house train them (regardless of your method, this is the basis of why it will work), they don't want to lie in or near their own mess. Normal dogs don't roll in poo, or eat it, or even linger near it after they've done a check to basically see who left it, how long ago, what was eaten by them and whatever else they learn from such investigation. Both rolling and eating in poo are highly abnormal, and walking in it is completely out of the question (though puppies may blunder unthinkingly through their own mess, an adult dog has enough sense not to). They may or may not roll in dead things (depending on the dog), but that is a different, other type of smell. Basically every animal has some sort of sense of smell, so what you would be looking for would be something that either wouldn't care or would actively enjoy the experience. Like a scarab beetle (specifically a dung beetle, I suppose) would probably be fine with it. It would be useless in a sewer, but so is a sausage dog. All of that said, I am delighted with how this series is starting off, and I enjoyed every minute of it, and am looking forward to whatever follows.
So well-timed to coincide with the release of the latest Ravnica set! Does anyone know if there are official WOTC rules for Ravnica and other Magic planes as D&D settings?
See, a lot of people think Cam is Dimir. I think it would be so great if somewhere down the line Ian stops putting on the voice and declares "Well I suppose it's finally time to take things seriously."
“Let’s see, you come across a...*rolls on random encounter chart*...a hipster, who insults you for your taste in coffee!”
I didn't know Serge was a Planeswalker.
Oh my gosh they announced Season 2!!!! I'm here to rewatch 😁
I'm watching since apparently it makes S2 make more sense
@@dawnbelleini8036 Yeah, that's the sense I get too. Tbh I didn't finish S1, so I need to get around to that too XD
LRR's love for Elves on Exchange Programs is delightful
"Sausages! Hot sausages! In a bun! Only 25 zibs, and that's cuttin' me own throat!"
It does feel like a game that is set in Ankh-morpork with the acting huh
noganoganog and his dogadogadog
goneagoneagone
I love how serge is just playing a super exaggerated version of himself.
And Ian is playing himself from Commodore Hustle!
Jacob M Plus a Kermit voice lol
@@Lucarioguild7 Its the productivity puppet voice
With the kind of character he's playing, I'm kind of disappointed he didn't ask the sausage guy to "make him one with everything"
@@Lucarioguild7 It's a solar powered wind farm!
Ok that sausage seller is Definetly Cut-Me-Own-Throat-Dibbler especially with Kathleen voicing the role and her love of Discworld. I expected the line "so fresh the pig doesn't even realize it's missing"
Time for my rewatch in time for Season 2
Cam is 100% Dimir, calling it now
this is an absolutely delightful trek of charming banality, i adore every moment of it. also i have to not look at the lower third because "noganoganog and his dogadogadog" keeps murdering me with laughter

Pistachio the productivity puppet voice. Oh no...
Thank you! I couldn't figure out where I had heard that voice before! It was tormenting me so!
Oh yeaaahhhh
I feel like Serge is playing himself on dental anaesthesia. I love it.
I may be a bit late to this campaign in general but I need to share that words cannot express how hard I snorted when I read this comment and realized how correct it is. I share your love for Serge on dental anaesthesia.
Can we all agree Kathleen's box text is a far better descriptor of the guilds than anything Wizards have ever produced?
"How do you milk a nut?" - Ben
"Have you tried working the shaft?" - Nail & Guru
Naaaaaiiil Dont take his coat
I assume that the Golgari would be the ones lobbying the Senate to allow more insect parts into the sausage.
Christopher Lundgren yeah, and probably the gruul as well
Christopher Lundgren Yeah they think sausages should be able to be 100% bug sausages
I imagine that 14% bug wasn't an upper limit but a quota, and it was actually pork barrel legislation for the Golgari who do all the bug farming
The kurlll, who are often Grull or Golgari actually lobby for 0% insect meat in sausages.Coz, that's like people. YOUR EATING PEOPLE! *angry mandible chittering*
@@MrThewooter and it's the golgari all death is reused in the cycle nothing is wasted.
This campaign was the first LRR thing I ever saw, back when it was first coming out, and I'm so so glad I found your channel!
"Stop doing things!"
I've 100% said that to my wife's Dachshund more times than I can count. Perfect roleplaying by Serge to provoke such a reaction.
Doing a full rewatch of this campaign - god Kathleen's writing is top notch
The genuine distress when Ben shouts "No! My dog!"
I'm so happy that I called the Camp Nettlebee music now being used as a leitmotif for "Kathleen is DMing this campaign," the same way they used Burning Bright's theme music for Music of the Spheres.
So the theme music is more tied to the DM than the campaign? Huh... That actually tracks pretty well.
A cup of tea and Ravnica DnD to keep me company. Good times.
Also, Serge sounds high when voicing Molander. XD
That's what all dream druids should sound like!!!😂
I think Noganoganog and his dogadogadog is one of the most satisfying names/phrases I've ever heard lol. I always love the characters these guys come up with
The Rakdos are a spooky bunch, I’ve worked security at a couple of events... I had to protect the audience
THAT'S THE GUY WITH THE JET-POWERED SWORD RIGHT ?
THAT'S THE GUY WITH THE JET-POWERED SWORD.
I didn’t think the tag line See how the sausage gets approved was actually going to be a part of the campaign
Serge isn’t even role playing he is just being himself
Swinging by as prep for season 2. Gotta know how the sausage is made, so to speak
I love how Ian's voice is that of the productivity puppet
"[Heavy Breathing]" Holy moly I love humor on this channel.
Edit: Tiny meat missiles.
Serge's backstory is so me except for the part where he actually goes and makes friends
Enor being dragged away... "Words have meaning..."
Kathleen's talent for names is on point as always, I see.
Somehow the "kid named finger" meme was predicted here
"This is bad. Maybe I should lay down and wait to die."
Kathleen really crushed the opening.
As someone who doesn’t know Magic I’ve watched this campaign 3 times at least and only now do I learn that Skova is a lizard person.
5:32 When I first heard Ian, I wondered what was wrong with is voice, but I love it. He is really getting into character.
"I've been working on this for 9 years"
Amazing. I can't wait to see where this goes.
This is adorable and hilarious.
Already watched this on d&d channel but deserves another watch on here again gratz to all on a fantastic session. Regards
D&D channel?
I’m so excited for this campaign! Cannot wait to see where these characters go!

With Kathleen in the DMs chair, Dice Friends has leveled up.
this is one of my more favorite dice friends episodes
This narration sounds like it was written by Terry Pratchett, I love it.
“Is that what’s causing all these holes?”
“No”
“Oh then go away”
That part cracked me up
Love all the flavor in the writing and descriptions; looking forward to more!

This is gonna be my first time watching the Black Dragon dm! I'm so excited!
This was great guys! I'm definitely looking forward to more!
BEST episode of Dice Friends - EVER!!!
Avenir is definitly not actually Azorious right? Maybe Dimir? I'm only 1:00 minute in, but I just wanted to plant my flag in this theory now.
Joshua Bill very clearly
so this is basically the office as a sausage company in the middle of a D&D game.... Love it
I'm one week in and I never want these to end.
I'm loving this campaign! Can't wait to see if they encounter the Golgari down there.
Ah yes, one of my life goals is also "Don't Get Yelled At."
Avenir wiping his hand on Molander's back was an absolutely choice moment, oh my gosh 😂

Ian/Enor is absolutely killing it here.
So... Remember... There's still hope. One day we can get Serge back and Wheeler and keep adding guests until LAVA BEARS PART 2!!!!
OMG, this is 10 episodes. I have always wanted to finally get back to watching this after starting in D&D. I figured it'd be like...4.
well, here we go
I had to pause the video to comment that the papier-maché club pretty much killed me. That's amazing writing.
Please don't let Molander find weed.
This is a lot of fun. The tone is somewhere around Douglas Adams but it's tabletop action, with this group, so it's just a good time.
You guys are lacking in Orzhov. Maybe Vikeru can oversee some transactions:)
They will get there at some point :P
"In order of importance, that's a poop pipe." hahahaha
wow such amazement
Just finished the intro part as i am typing this and i laughed my ass off at the request of the group to have a sausage party as their reward xD
Everything about this is wonderful.
The wizard channel was a bit faster with the upload, but that is okay for now I can watch this awesomness again. Good times!
@loadingreadyrun I wonder if this story was inspired by the Yes, Minister episode "Euro Sausage".
As a proud member of the Golgari Swarm I enjoy a much higher percentage of insect parts than 3.25% in my sausages.
Got to watch this on WOTC's channel, but I still wanted to give you a like.
Ian is a good player.

Serge sounds like he's channeling Morgan's Harold from the Writer's sketch. Yeah...
D&D, MtG and Discworld all rolled into one.
Of course, Serge would be a character that goes in a land deck for Highlander.
I never watched Dice Friends before that. I been missing out :O
Aww come on, I love the mystery sausage. By chemisters order!
This is so good. Thanks LRR
Dogadogadog!
Finally I get to see you play Kafkavnica. Viva la bureaucracy.
The second I heard Ian's voice I was like: "Nope".
Noganoganog sounds and awful lot like logalogalog... Ben you a Redwall fan?
Love Enor's henchman 24 style voice :D
Fr-Fre-Freind?

I'm soooo fucking stealing this adventure hook
I just realized that one of the guilds they have an appointment with is the Dimir. Since when does Dimir take appointments!?
Yes we can take an appointment with your representative. We promise to return him in one piece.... And mostly not mind controlled or mentally changed.
They have been running the newspapers for years according to the lore and they present themselves as a legitimate guild, same way the rakdos do
Deep cut astronomy joke, no pun intended
1:26:30 Tycho Brahe fucking SLEW me.
