- I really hope this review does this figure justice cause man do I love it. I also had a blast making this review which makes me really excited to start doing weekly uploads. I cannot recommend this figure enough go get him if you liked the design in any way.

Cant wait for studio series primal
The gun being small is accurate to how useful it is in the film. Just a little peashooter that literally didn't do damage in the film. 💀
Also, great review. Short and sweet but also thorough!
I just remember that he just kept taking out his gun looking at it for a couple seconds and then putting it away i don't even know if he actually shot it or not

Specifically when Prime transformed, said "I'm going to take back Scourge's key, and take of his head!"
He fired at Scourge while he was in truck mode and it literally did nothing.
Like I thought alt mode would be a Cybertronian's more vulnerable state but the Prime Peashooter just couldn't cut it.
Then Prime's threats meant nothing because they just made forget how to fight in this movie.
I think it's because the terrorcons are sorta immune to their blasters. In the deleted scene, optimus uses the arm blaster to execute transit. Literally the only thing that makes the terrorcons "invincible".
Funnily enough, I think that the lack of paint makes the mainline figure look more esthetically pleasing. That's just my personal preference but I'm definitely getting myself this one. IF IT WASN'T CONSTANTLY SOLD-OUT THAT IS!!!
Also the blue tinted windows on the mainline. I forgot to mention that.
Personally I wasn't a fan of the blue tinted windows I can understand how so many people like the figure but it's just not for me. I also mustve got very lucky that I bought him when I did cause the site I got him froms sold out now and this is the main thing I keep hearing about the figure
Absolutely agree with everything you said here. Really love the figure, articulation is stellar, and it's very close to the cgi model from the film. Yeah the gun is too small and the back of the truck mode is a bit of an eyesore. But we do have the DNA Designs upgrade kit coming in November so that's something to really look forward to. Really liked this review and definitely subscribed to you
I definitely think the DNA kit will put the cherry on top of this guy and really make him perfect, I'm glad you liked the review
That kibble behind the cab in truck mode puts me in mind of Power of the Primes Leader Optimus. That weird kibble didn't stop that figure from being great, and I don't think it stops this new Optimus, either. Nice review!
Yeah it's definitely not fun to look at but to me it doesn't ruin the truck mode but I'd still much rather it wasn't there
I found this a day before it was meant to release, and it didn’t disappoint!!!
I feel bad for anyone who's struggling to get him cause he's such an amazing figure

The only thing that really puts me off is the back of the vehicle mode. There's so much junk behind that keeps it from looking like a masterpiece. They made it work with the SS38 figure so I'm not sure why they failed to do it here.
It's really a bummer that they couldn't figure out something simple and cheap to make the back look better because it really does drag down the figure but there's an upgrade kit releasing that'll make it look much better
pretty sure they ran out of budget. because he was meant to be a retool but ended up being an (almost) entirely new figure
I think being a near completely new figure was for the better even if the trucks not as good
Trust me the Yolopark one is amazing as well it really surprised me how amazing it is I really recommend it
After seeing the recent yolopark scourge I might have to pick Optimus up to have something scale with him cause the scourge looks insane
Supposedly the new wave of figures will come with extra accessories for the first wave of figures so we’ll get more weapons for prime

I most likely will I really like what it does to the back of the truck even if it's just a small change but it is quite expensive costing more than the base figure

In terms of the DNA design kit, i think the leg pieces r completely useless. You might as well keep the legs normal and just transform his feet and leave them
The feet on the figure can't be folded inwards if the leg piece isnt moved up out of the way which is why the DNA kit gives him new feet that transform a bit different

Hasbro need to start stocking higher numbers of figures that they know will be high demand like armada Optimus prime is sold out everywhere as well it's a pain

I originally thought it was really easy to get in the UK but I've realised I must've just got mad lucky cause it's sold out now from where I bought it
This figure unfortunately got scalped today at all the targets within 50 miles of my house :(

I don't think those are trailer hitches on his legs, they're just there as part of the design.
You might be right about that because the yolopark model kit has them and I doubt they'd skip on accuracy for the sake of symmetry
Honestly it makes me wish they kept the same legs as SS38 (it’s the more accurate feet ofc) with better tabs bc the front of this truck is perfect that combined with SS38s legs would’ve made a perfect robot and truck. Either way I have to get this he looks amazing
If they took the legs of SS38s legs but had them hold together far better he would've been actually flawless
@@mediocre_mike Totally. Make the tabs fit better. Change the feet shape to be more accurate. And it’s basically a voyager sized masterpiece
Opinion on the DNA design upgrade kit?
I really like the guns it comes with and the improvements to the back of the truck are really nice, I feel the two swords he comes with aren't really needed but they'll be nice to have and the extra toe articulation is amazing

How can u say this is perfect when the alt mode is absolutely crap. At this point just buy a nontransforming fig.
Personally I like the robot mode look more than the yolopark non transforming figure and I think the truck mode is very nice from the front the back is objectively bad but it doesn't completly ruin the figure or truck mode
@@mediocre_mike so your reasoning is completely subjective... but you're stating these things as an objective thing. If u said "perfect to me" I wouldn't have said anything tbh, something to watch out for next time, otherwise nice production. The review itself needs more of an easy and clear to understand tally of what this mold does objectively well and what you personally like, say like, how does the plastic feel? What about the tolerances?

Me personally I think they'll re-release him at some point with better accessories and a better back maybe when he's put into an official SS box idk
