It was a good few weeks that we had leftover on Lady Africa. She sure has given us some amazing times, as well as some stressful times that most of you guys didn't see.. (because who likes picking up a camera when you feel like crawling into a dark space and never coming out) but none the less she has been an adventure that we are so grateful for.
I've been following you two all the way from when you first started looking for a boat. I love your positive attitudes and your "Can-do" approach to all your challenges. You will do great in whatever new adventures you will encounter.
Bit of sadness there buddy, I watched you do the whole build, you put your heart and soul into Lady Africa and she has treated you well. Cheers from NZ
Loved the caves, and then coming out to that little rock beach. Sweet. Quick sale for LA. Hope she continues a good life, and the new owners love her as much as you did.
Voorwaar hartseer dat jul vir Lady Africa moet groet maar ons hoop jul gaan die kanaal oop hou en vir ons op hoogte hou van jul travels. Love om van julle te hoor. Groetnis uit die noorde van Australia
Hi Ricky and Simone, So Ricky I don't hear your knee going clickily clack like mine, really annoying. I'm now about 11 months since the operation and getting around now without drugs, I'm 67 so it may have been a little harder for me but concede that a knee operation isn't the easiest to have. All the best on your recovery and Simone you are an angel as you would have needed to be as my angel came in the form of my best friend in Austria (Ingrid) who stayed for Seven months through my post-opp. I'm so lucky to have such a best friend as you have your wonderful Simone. Lot's of love, Pete from Australia.
Cant believe you sold Lady Africa ....How many years did you spend refitting her???....2 / 3 yrs And really is it 2 yrs sailing her?... You do remember how much sweat blood and tears went into her Must have been hard to sell It will be interesting to see where you go from here ...... Fairwinds from the @captainschair
2 and a half years building and 2 and a half years sailing. We're definitely ready for the next chapter in life and we know Lady Africa is in good hands.

Really enjoyed watching Ricky refit Lady Africa, took a lot of money, tenacity, and hard work.

Thanks Pete for the kind words 😊🌻
Nice video. Loved the underwater filming. Did you make a rock cairn while you were by the caves?
It was beautiful. We didn't unfortunately 😊
