Suzuka’s singing technique was impressive at 13, and the workouts Yui and Moa endured in a concert at ages 11 and 12 could easily exhaust many adults. I guess Moa has had the same vocal training as Su, but hasn’t had the chance to sing, and I guess she was yearning for it (and so was Yui, apparently). It was glad they gave her her chance to show her singing skills. She was credited as “dancing and yelling”, which is not bad since, again, it was clear that lots of hard work and technique (you don’t tour like them without becoming voiceless unless you can yell with proper technique, just because they make it seem easy, it doesn’t seem it is). Suzuka has been able to improve her technique with more than ten years of experience, I guess Moa would like to be sing some songs now that she’s just as tall and as impressive as Su. Maybe they could give her a solo album of metal ballads, in the Bard’s song or Master of the Wind (or We are the one) vibe. I’d go for it.

Suzuka, Moa, and Yui were LITERAL CHILDREN when they debuted as babymetal, and they worked so hard for this, and moa was a backup dancer/backup vocals for so long, i bet she felt like she was on top of the world being in the front spotlight for once. I hope this sort of rotation becomes the norm for babymetal because I'd love to see the full range of what moa and momoka can do. I feel like moa and momoka equally deserve to have solos. This isn't to say suzuka doesn't deserve it, but i wish all 3 got equal distribution because they're all super amazing
su will go 115% whether it be in a starring role or in a support role. thats the kind of person she is. when she was younger her effort sometimes makes her moves seem awkward, but the teacher says she picks up the moves very quickly and she always give it her all.

It's actually quite amazing they can swap roles like this live... even though SU is the lead vocalist she just steps to the side and becomes a dancer, Moa takes on the lead and sounds great. Well done ladies, you nailed it.

I've been watching the Budokan series from 2021 and it's very true. Su's attack is just so much stronger than when those songs were first recorded. She has far, far more breath in her long notes and the tone is so rich and dynamic now. Really want to see them live.

If I remember right, they made a special version of Moa singing that part because she was from Nagoya (and this recorded concert was held in Nagoya), and it was Moa's birthday at the time, so prior to the show, there is already a rumor about some surprise. I was in that concert, it was awesome.

Probably the easiest way to distinguish between Western and Eastern kamis when both of them wear masks is to listen for pinch harmonics. Eastern kamis use pinch harmonics a lot, you hear lots of guitar squels, which is practically absent when Western kamis play. The solos are lot cleaner too with Eastern kamis.

After watching many SG documentaries you can see how tight these girls are especially between Su and Moa who adored Su . I’m sure Moa was very honored to take the Mic as much as Su was honored to give it up. I tear up everytime on the handoff...they look at each other, and the rest is history...
When Su was graduating and Moa was in tears it was heart breaking. Definitely one of the reasons why they chose Moa and Su to be in BM together and it worked out very well. The world knows BM...not so much SG.

I just hope that as with BM breaking a lot of music barriers, they also continue into their own stride unlike other idols who disband within a decade. I'm assuming it's why they're taking a long break now to sort contracts and decide the future of BM...let's face it, Su and Moa are the face of BM. So, if they're replaced then BM is basically over. Hoping deep down they're taking a while because Yui is coming back for a collab...can always hope.

I'm not a fan of metal at all. But man the energy, choreography, the beat and crowd and energy exuded, everything is just so perfect with their performance. I would definitely go see them just because.

@@a2zbrandedusa383 the funny thing was that in an interview moa said that she didnt volunteer but was assigned to BM but nonetheless it worked out and their bond grew througought the years. especially you can tell how she adored su (especially the memes of her looking at su's head lol)

I just hope that as with BM breaking a lot of music barriers, they also continue into their own stride unlike other idols who disband within a decade. I'm assuming it's why they're taking a long break now to sort contracts and decide the future of BM...let's face it, Su and Moa are the face of BM. So, if they're replaced then BM is basically over.
Hoping deep down they're taking a while because Yui is coming back for a collab...can always hope.

@@TheHenrymontemayor Moa and Yui were already Su fans when they joined SG, though; being in a group with her was exactly what they wanted. Check out the video where BM does Su's old KG song "Over the Future", Yui has said it was like a dream come true for them to perform that one with her.

I'm not a fan of metal at all. But man the energy, choreography, the beat and crowd and energy exuded, everything is just so perfect with their performance. I would definitely go see them just because.
What always gets me is how the audience is THERE; completely part of the performance and she is totally in command of them.

Man Babymetal performances are next level. The amazing production, music and not to mention the gigantic audiences. A slap in the face of people who say Babymetal was just a curious oddity that went viral in the 2010's and gonna quickly fade away. Amazing talents, amazing band.
