Many of them speak English, and they already have parents or other family members in the US. Parents will come here first, work, get housing and become stable etc and then send for their kids. If they are over 16 they've already completed school in their countries and they're coming here to start a life and begin working themselves.

I follow a few journalists who've travelled to Guatemala & spoken with them about what's taking place. MANY live in villages in the mountains. They have almost no education & speak their own language, not Spanish. "Travel Agents" visit the villages & promise parents they'll give their children a great life in the US. Parents actually pay them to bring them here. They don't have money so they give them the deed to their home as a guarantee of payment. The kids are brought here, can't communicate with anyone & are sent to work as labor or $ € × $l aves. They work off their debt & the parents are given back the deed to their home. They're told their kids are going to school, doing great & are very happy. They never see them again but take their word for it. Bottom line is, the VAST majority of countries around the globe don't value life like we do. They do things to survive, like sending their kids away or $elling them, if it allows them to eat & make ends meet. It's unconscionable to us but routine to them. Sooo let me make sure I understand this correctly.. the federal government has the important information to verify who these missing children are, but requires local officials who are tasked with trying to locate them, jump through a variety of time consuming hoops that deliberately delays those officials from being able to properly do their job in a timely manner(because everyone knows that time is of the utmost essence when it comes to finding missing persons and solving cases), and the federal government's excuse for not simply disclosing their information to local officials who are trying to find these missing children, is that the information could endanger or jeopardize the children's safety and well-being??? If she found 15 of the missing children... What reasons are they giving for leaving? There must be some kind of correlation between them. Border needs to be locked down regardless. Shouldn't even be an issue unless they are legal immigrants. Change citizenship laws so that citizenship is based on parents instead of just being born on U.S. soil (like it is in almost every other country), and we'll see a huge reduction in illegal immigration.

This should be put in the hands of the US Marshall. They have jurisdiction across the nation. There is a finite amount of verification needed that can be done a head of time. From the department since they are all in the same agency. That way info can flow freely and in a timely manner.
You are still thinking like a true American citizen, but times have changed. The federal agencies are no longer trustworthy. There is no law and order anymore. The laws in the books are being twisted and turned against law abiding citizens.

Why doesn’t the office of refugee resettlement, once they receive a request for photo of missing child from a law enforcement officer, just call back the official phone number for that office to confirm the request is coming from real law enforcement….instead of just saying “further investigation is required”?

My own experience is, their parents let them travel alone, so what shows you that they are vulnerable? Their parents are the ones irresponsible. I would never let my children travel alone

I’m from VA, I live right on the border of VA and DC. Culpeper is out in the boonies…like country country. It’s pretty scary children would disappear from such a rural area. There’s no way they are just leaving on their own accord. They aren’t even familiar with the area…where would a migrant kid go in the middle of bumfuck Virginia?? Very eerie. A lot of young black girls keep disappearing from my neck of the woods and over the bridge in DC too. By “a lot” I mean something like 40,000 last year.
I really think there is something very dark happening here in the DMV area.
