Forewarning to the poor souls scrolling through these comments: The entite comment section is an argument as to whether or not Icon For Hire are a Christian Rock band. Here's the answer: It's true that the members are all Christians, and that they have appeared at Christian festivals and on Christian radio channels, But Ariel Bloomer - the Lead Singer - has specifically said that Icon For Hire IS NOT a Christian Rock band, and she doesn't want the band to be labeled as one. Christian Members DOES NOT mean Christian Band
lyrics: (I won't be carried away, I say, I say...) Yeah! This is as weak as they come, this is as far as I'll run I'm growing ill with the cure, you're just as hungry for more I've exhausted all my caution Breaking down is not an option Haven't you had enough? Aren't you tired? Well, this is where I draw the line Haven't you had your fill of the empty? Aren't you ready to sing, "I won't be carried away" Good grief and give it a rest, my struggle never relents We'll never know what it costs, until we're too weak to stop I've exhausted all my caution Breaking down is not an option Haven't you had enough? Aren't you tired? Well, this is where I draw the line Haven't you had your fill of the empty? Aren't you ready to sing, "I won't be carried away" (I won't be carried away [x3] I say, I say) I won't be carried away! [x7] Haven't you had enough? Aren't you tired? Well, this is where I draw the line Haven't you had your fill of the empty? Aren't you ready to sing, "I won't be carried away" (Carried away!)
How come I have been missing this song all the time? It's not in Scripted, or the new stuff, and you don't see it anywhere much. It 's still wonderful :D
Everybody needs to seriously stop arguing. Music is supposed to bring us together not tear us apart. Are we so obsessed with proving that we are right that we have been blinded of what music really is? It brings people and cultures together. Can we not see that now?
The band themselves said they are not a christian band and do not want to be labeled as one. I'm not saying that christian bands can't rock (skillet, TFK), but I would think as a fan you would respect the bands desire to not be labeled as a christian band.
Lets setel this debate, on Ariels blog, she states they are not a christain band, because they want their music to inspire everyone! and being labled as a chriistian band limites them, but the members are christian, but they dont want to be labled as a christan band, they are just an awesome band, so shut up and enjoy them! ~Will
Aright, look, Ariel says she's spiritual and was raised christian. But there's stuff she disagrees with in mainstream christianity, like no sex before marriage. She said that was stupid. No idea about Shawn, but if I had to guess, I'd say he would pray to whoever necessary to keep the apple crisp coming. "Crisp is the key word here." he once said.
A christian band is a band that only sings for christians and not a band with christian member Icon For Hire says that the band isn't a christian band, so they're not, it's not just be cause they're christians that the bamd is also christian.
@MegaJaerae It's the same with skillet songs. People are arguing on whether or not they are Christian but in all honesty or just depends on how you look at them.
@sjcgzn08 Yeap they are a christian band ...if you listen to their lyrics you can see the influence on the music as well as the fact that they say they are
Very good :) the dude who the girls legs are on's cousin works with my mom! thats how i found out about this band!!!!! Their image kinda looks like Paramore! But they dont sound anything alike
To be honest I think they dnt call themselves a Christian band becuz they want pple to be able to come to their own conclusion. I think they r amazing Christians and r just trying to make positive rock music for pple to relate to. The go to Christian rock concerts cuz they like to not so the can be put in a category. that's basicly wat she is tryin to say by not naming themselves a Christian rock band cuz then many pple wouldn't even give them a second glance. They just wanna prove u shouldn't

+Johan Rott it was on their The Grey EP, but it didn't get an official album release

The members of the band are Christian, but Ariel doesn't want to define her band as Christian. But the ppl are indeed Christian.
yeah I was schocked when I saw that guy at first as well
Why are almost none of their early songs on Spotify :(
'Cause this is a demo
*_I won't be carried away_*
+Yandєгє “Ayคຖ໐” Cђaก you're strange.... i like it...

I didnt really click with it
Just wondering...... Why is Osama Bin Laden there?
@mytube1411
Creation Fest, a Worship Concert where Christian Bands and Worship Groups go to perform. Icon For Hire was there
Just because the members are Christian doesn't make them a Christian Rock band.

+Mikarya War Not really true. Twenty One Pilots, the band members are Christian, but they aren't considered a Christian band.
+Alcon102 The Fray has Christian band members.
Is there any way to get a good quality version of this song?
@MegaJaerae It's the same with skillet songs. People are arguing on whether or not they are Christian but in all honesty or just depends on how you look at them.
Nicely said
@sjcgzn08 Yeap they are a christian band ...if you listen to their lyrics you can see the influence on the music as well as the fact that they say they are
Where can I find this song?
yay I'm like number 300!!!!
@SilverStrikerLS That's for sure:) many people think only the slow old people songs are Christian
i love them anyways :)
why is osama in the video?
Didn't know this one.
Very good :) the dude who the girls legs are on's cousin works with my mom! thats how i found out about this band!!!!! Their image kinda looks like Paramore! But they dont sound anything alike
@TheAngryTortise just because its on a Christian radio station doesn't meant their music is Christian.
I think they have great music in anyway so i don't understand why it should matter if they are good anyways
Icon For Hire is a Christian band, I've met them multiple times.
They are Christan they were at kings fest
never knew they were 0_0 well what i say is that bands get intervened and they say their Christians they would automatically a christian rock band

random osama .-.
Not all Christians thought that.
random Hatsune Miku ._.
their signed on a christian label and they are christians, everything from there is uncertain
are they christian band or not? im confused! Some people say they are and some say they are not.
yeah thats what i was thinking. i know they are Christian but want to know if it really matters? They are a good band. Aint that all that matters?
yes they are christian...they play on radio u a christian radio station
HOLY CRAP THEY ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN BAND
Seriously ? Well I guess they need to check out Skillet too.
They are Christians in a band not a Christian Rock Band. Like Flyleaf, Christians in a Band but it's not Labeled Christian Rock.
aesthetica Except I'm pretty sure Flyleaf IS a Christian band? Maybe I'm wrong? I know Icon for Hire isn't, but I'm pretty darn sure Flyleaf is.
