I think these guys is better than the drivers now because back in those days them never have the broader tyres like us now because you know the broader tyres the car andle better
Amazing the lack of safety equipment back then not even a simple roll bar or helmet let alone a fuel cell notice the fuel tank throwing gas every ware in a couple of the pics or the spectators with no wall to protect them from the cars of course there was none even thought of in the early days we sure have came a long way a NASCAR driver destroys his car at over 150 MPH and walks away !!

Give it a rest. That is completely normal in motor racing communities online. People do montages with people winning and people dying. Motor racing is dangerous. Nobody forced these people to race.
Fatal or 100% Safety Oriented? Which races were more thrilling? No one wanted to see death but they DID want to sit on the edge of their seats knowing just how horribly dangerous racing was. My God! I hate to see a bad car crash but I'd safely bet that if YOU drove past a horrible traffic accident you would take a peek. It's human nature, but doesn't mean you WANT to see people crash and be seriously injured because THAT IS Sick.
Safety equipment: Don't crash
😂
0:30 that famous human guard rail masterpiece
I don't know who were the real mad men. The drivers or the ones volunteering as human guardrail...
That was shocking to see.
Nessa época as pessoas eram muito mais loucas!

Gotta love this era of seat-of-your-pants racing. No safety gear of any kind for anyone. These guys were a hardy lot, no doubt.
senorkaboom bring it back somehow more entertaining than modern stuff I think
Old Barney Oldfield chomping on his cigar... luv it.
Quite a few fatalities, there... Drivers, Riding Mechanics and Spectators. Dangerous but heroic days!
Real men, proper racers.

Just read Wylie's race accident description on the web.
No seatbelts, no fire retardant, no roll cage, no tops, and barely any restrictions. These lads were absolutely mad.

Yikes! I'm wondering about the cameraman on the back of some of those cars.
When car racing was more dangerous for the spectators than for the drivers themselves...

Great to have the authentic Old Time background music. Where did you find it?
Haha. Actually my band recorded this song and we needed a cool video to go with it. So we made a compilation of old car races and crashes.
The “old time” music is your time is coming by definition of madmen, I believe the song is from 2013
Great film, Shame about the audio !

Some of those made my teeth hurt.. Also, why did they have races with 2 people in the car?
They were riding mechanics. Common in the early days of racing.
Safety wasn't a high priority back then.
How times have changed!

Why didn’t they have roll cages or roll bars?

How do they drive with balls that big?
xIxSharpshooter77xIx The balls were in their pants and the pubes were the car
Inversely proportional to their brains - smaller head, better aerodynamics.
Why not have music of the time? This racing is nothing to do with this music.
Seat belts & roll cage who needs them
To uploader: you know some of these are fatal, right?
Absolutely. That's the nature of the sport as we have all gathered throughout the years. These drivers know the risks. Enough said.
The drivers did not have to live with being dead. Their families did though.
The people back then were alive untill they died. Today we'r dead while alive. Long live the new tech.
