    I so enjoyed & appreciate this video. You said soooo much (most of it, actually) that I can relate to. Every single point (other than the gallery “party after the party”.) Never been - really don’t care. But I have had a “dream” to be noticed thru my photos. 😑 Just haven’t had the guts to push it. So I spend time on FB, looking/hoping for likes. You’re right - it’s a waste of time,energy, & brain cells. Thank you for your time and candor. I will be listening to this several times. Hopefully, some of it will sink in.

    One of the best yet!
    So many things I would say are 100%. I retired a year ago and I almost have all the same feelings..
    Always learn. Even when working every Xmas I would buy a book about something I had no idea about, Roman history, Geology, Politics, just learn something that seems very off topic. You'll be amazed how much you can apply to very different topics.
    Driving some where, even on the way to work, go a completely different way. Explore, there is always some thing new around the next corner.
    Disconnect to really connect with what is important.
    I also spent a lot of time on long flights. Same thing. Phone off computer off. Down time with service! Great prep for the next week!.

    • @DANIELMILNOR505
      @DANIELMILNOR505  3 года назад

    my 2 Pence blar blar , left field ravings and not so serious rant ! :D
    Think we are all just need to rebel against the consent onslaught of marketing and advertising campaigns and the consent automation and computerisation of everything and anything , photography is art after all , it should be the most manually purist thing we choose to do .. There isn't anything wrong with taking time and struggling in order to express our creativity or learn a skill for once we succeed the satisfaction we get is complete for that moment .. Digital automation and computerisation of photography is now is starting to spoil this for those of us who only photograph for pleasure and the love of it ..
    long live film, the print and the darkroom and my only hope would be to make camera clubs or societies nicer more positive places to be and devoid of any unproductive criticism and negative practices and comments , I have a dream that camera clubs could once again rival online sites in regards to we were go to make and show negatives and prints and share processes and ideas were young and old can mix and be with one another, help one another , share ideas and collaborate in person in an unexclusive fully inclusive environment ...
    Having bored you all with that blar blar , I would like to recommend some reading books that might help people on the their creative journeys
