Love it!!
It only gets better from here!
First thing I would have done is give it a bath before bringing it into the shop. Put a little air in the tires to make it easier to push. Drain & flush the fluids, sonicate the carbs, new battery, plugs, wires, & tires. See what it needs from there.
What a find. Best of luck to you!!
Ok now I know it's a full production. Enjoyed the video and look forward to more.
Just checked out first episode love it that is a gem of a find and btw i was stationed at Hill AFB many years ago and miss the country and beautiful mountains.
I hope we get to see this one at Sturgis next year.
That’s the plan! But tbd 😅
Wowzer, wish I could get that lucky. You popped up and I subscribed.
Thank you!
I build bikes. 2 weekends ago I just got done with my most recent one; a bobber. I just found your channel 3 minutes ago. Ok, I will tag along for your journey. SUBSCRIBED.
THANK YOU! I really love the bobber look - I'm still unsure how my build will come together, but there are a lot of bobber -inspired elements so far.
I think this is so neat. I have kin folk in Ogden. I will probably be heading out there in a few weeks to visit my sick Uncle. Beautiful Bike, looks like a Wide Glide. Hope to see it one day!! Gene Nunn from Oklahoma!!
Every time I go to Farrs its packed. Trappers Loop on that should be fun.
New fluids, fuel and battery and that bike should have fired right up...all seems a bit over dramatized for a bike with 2k miles...spending 4 minutes talking about how hard it is to push it up a step...come on man. Lol
On a positive note, your show is super well produced and shot very well. Keep it up, but cut the fluff, you have a great basis. 👍
Thanks for the feedback! I’m learning as I go over here and it helps to know what everyone thinks. Hope you stick around to see some more!
Ok love the bike and story and I am going to watch the build but I need to know more about the ice cream shop who, what, when, where, why need a video on the ice cream shop
Gives me an excuse to eat more ice cream! The place is Farr Better Ice Cream in my hometown of Ogden, Utah! Worth a trip.
Glad I got turned on to your series- I grew up Utah also, and got into Harleys in 1986, so your bike is just like the Softail that first caught my eye (and now currently own) I hope you don't change much on it- it would be worth more as a restoration than a personal custom. Also- Harley stopped making hardtails in 1957- Don't know where you heard they replaced them in 1984 with the Softail. I think I'm gonna enjoy your series, but don't fully buy the barn find thing... You forgot to dirty up that front rim, ya know? Still look forward to see how it cleans up
First off before I finish watching the vid, what did you do before these vids? This is a Discovery channel, TLC, ECT quality. This is production level. The drone in the beginning, the fades and such. Hope the rest is this level.
I think the odometer might be 2200 miles, not 22k. Looked like the last digit was red, which is usually tenths.
I was thinking the same thing
You guys are right! With all the excitement of finding the bike, I misread the odometer at first. Once I figured that out, I was even more stoked about the potential of this bike.
Yup!
This looks like a completely staged production. The camera work etc scream fabrication, and I don't mean on a motorcycle. Who is this slick willie dude? Meh, pass
At first I was thinking this seems too slick and well-produced, I wonder if it's staged? Then I saw it was a 1988 Softail. If someone was going to stage a barn find motorcycle and make a RUclips series out of fixing it up, they would have used something older and more interesting. Nothing against the softail, I'm sure it's a great bike and I can't wait to see what you do with it... but if you had found grandpa's 37 Knucklehead in that barn.... I would have been suspicious. : )
Still digging around in some of his stuff hoping there’s a knuckle in here somewhere. 🤣
No this is completely suspect😂 From brushing off the hay, to it being a 1988 Softail. Excuse me while I go restore my Grandma’s barn find 1992 Sentra.
I'm still suspicious. There are spots that didn't have any dirt on them. This is to much of a attempt to make a show. This isn't a barn find its staged. Come on. A
"motorcycle guy" just happens to find a motorcycle he never saw grandpa ride. Didn't even know grandpa had a motorcycle. I'm not buying it. Total phony set up
It’s offensive to us non locals too😂
Watch Pacific Mike's channel
😴 boring...not even an old bike, very little work to get it on the road...try working on a 50' s Harley or 46 Indian and restoring them. ..
I’m sorry you find it boring. It’s a family heirloom, so I’m going to restore/customize this first, and hopefully move onto more vintage stuff as I learn more!
I heard Clint August (MotorcycleMonkey and 1015KGB) mention this. Glad he did, looking forward to watching the progress.
That’s rad! Thanks for tuning in!
