I've noticed recently that Al Golden is taking more evaluation visits to 2026 defensive linemen. I have asked Ryan if he agrees with me on this trend. I hope it indicates a way forward in selecting targets for Notre Dame. What Bryan said about the recruitment of Gordy Sulfsted, seems to also make me hope Al Washington is getting more leadership in his evaluations. I do believe he is a good coach.

To Brian’s point look at Keon having to wait his time to get on the field at Bama DLine needs to step it up in recruiting and quit waiting for our LBS to get to big for the middle

With Coach Brian Kelly, our team got better. We didn’t know if it could even be better than that. So a lot of people liked Coach Kelly. Now we have a better coach, and Coach Kelly left really quick. So the question is why weren’t recruiting better with Coach Kelly, and then a new coach Freeman arrives and is doing as good as Coach Kelly and recruiting better. Just seems fairly odd.
