It make me feel good to hear my great uncle Tema Tiger I love hearing him lead and all the recording were recorded down my grandma house in Cromwell Oklahoma
I really love that these recordings exist. I'm trained as an Opera singer, and my mother is a Bluegrass musician. I always enjoy and feel blessed to learn about the musical traditions of other cultures. I am forever impressed by the endless creativity of human beings. Thank you so much for sharing.
After learning that im of the Mvskoke/ Seminole and Choctaw people, I've been soooo excited, sooo proud and very emotional about it. Ive been on a constant hunt to find more and more about my Great grand parents family/ blood lines, my clan and how they intermarried. you know...there a HUGE belief that both...Blacks and Whites believe that they have Native Blood just because someone has high cheek bones, long hair..lol. That's so stereotypical and of describing describing one's mythical goat/ great-great grand so..I always avoided making or accepting that family story and claim until I was able to find solid proof and thank god that I did and it was 100% true and factual. From birth certificates and photos to other documents..I found that my Great-Great grand parents were in fact full Bloods. One Creek/ Seminole and the other was full Choctaw. G-G grand Dad was a Choctaw born in Houma, Louisana and G-G Grand ma was Creek/ Seminole born in Burnt Corn, Alabama. 3 of their 5 of their children ended up intermarrying African Americans..which my G-G Grand Dad's side appeared to have as servants. Pretty rich and awesome history i must say. There's not a day that goes by where I don't listen to this entire Album!!! Im even taking the time to learning how to read and write and speak the Muskogean language...focusing on more on ours than Choctaw.
I just thought I’d try to be first. This 2 album set was made by Tony Isaacs through a label called “Indian House” in New Mexico. Taos I believe. These recordings were made in 1968 at RVRO (Fish Pond) close to Cromwell Oklahoma. The reason no fire is visible, is because these are vinyl record albums not videos. To the best of my knowledge no other recordings having to do with these specific songs were done by anyone else. Sole credit and recognition goes to Tony Isaacs and INDIAN HOUSE recordings.

I listen to this while walking, moving to the rhythm helps me breathe a lot better. I started this June 1st, 23 and I feel so much better.
Listening to this during tough times and calling on my great-great grandfather Netche Gray's guidance. Thanks for having this here.

If you're ever in Oklahoma during the summer months, you're welcomed to attend.
Neteche Gray is my great grandfather…and my mom was one of the shell shakers in this dance. Makes me proud to be a Muscogee Creek!
it is a beautiful heritage. be proud. go to ceremony!
Havent herd this since Arbeka Taledega green corn in the late 1970s! Great!!
Hope you can make it back out some time, to that or another grounds. If not, may you sing these words for the fire in your heart
Arbeka was our home ground...I remember going there for Greencorn many times. Great memories!
