      It's actually good for you to make the videos public, especially they're suing you for defamation. Even if you private the videos they will still sue you.
      Louis Rossmann has mentioned that that company demanded you to remove your GoFundMe because the company name is mentioned, but somehow say they sue those who made fake reviews after deny suing anyone, is why I am wondering which video(s) are used by them for the lawsuit.
      If they aren't hiding something defamatory why are they taking such actions?

    Louis Rossmann pointed me your way, but I've seen earlier stuff from a certain company - and, as someone currently in the renewable energy field, and with 40 years of battery experience in the transportation sector - I knew the claims the shills were putting out were, ummmm, sketchy at best. That they are attempting to silence people calling them on it is both despicable, and sadly, predictable. Please continue the good fight. From the USA.

    Awesome video as usual Stephan. I've watched your videos for a few years, and yesterday I saw your videos about DCS suing you for a fair and honest review you made after thoroughly testing their batteries. This is very wrong of DCS. I was delighted today to see that Louis Rossman - who was in the same situation as you when Apple (phones) tried to get him to take his product review video down - has become aware of your situation and made a video backing you up and challenging DCS to sue him as well. I trust that we all will continue to enjoy many more quality videos from you in future. Keep up the good work Stephan. The internet is a wonderful thing!

      I've pondered over this as well, and based on my past experiences with other batteries, I believe the answer is yes. The entire ethos behind building my cruiser was to ensure it's both reliable and capable. I've learned from experience that opting for cheaper solutions often leads to double the expense down the line. Considering the cruiser's value at around $100,000, and how crucial the auxiliary battery setup is for my travels and filming, it's definitely not a component I would compromise on. Reliability in this aspect is key.

    @wasbruce 9 месяцев назад +4

    Redarc might be fine for those with deep pockets, or receiving the products free or subsidised for review, but for many of us it's out of the question at 2 or 3 times the price but not 2 or 3 times as good as alternatives. Also can't understand how you can't fit a 2000W inverter to replace your 700W but can fit a complete second battery/inverter pack.

    • @AlloffroadAu
      @AlloffroadAu  9 месяцев назад +3

      Yes, it's not cheap; if it lasts 5000 cycles, it's worth it in my book as a feature wise I think it's a great battery. I had the 700w inverter at home for some time, so I used it. I could only fit a 2000w inverter by changing my whole layout, which I wasn't prepared to do as my current set-up works fine, and 150a capacity for induction cooking would be on the low side for me anyway as I require the capacity to charge all my gear. The Redarc Battery is in the same spot where my Revolution battery was, so not too many changes are required.

    • @christurner68
      @christurner68 9 месяцев назад

      Exactly wat I thought, 2000w invert size and weight wise should be the same as the about the same. But can see a point that he has more unusable capacity.

      I'm with you, truly can't fathom stuffing round with 700W invertor.
      I'd take the time to rearrange and fit a 2000W unit myself, ditching the weight and bulk of portable unit.
      Trust me, I know confined spaces, but for the benefits I'd find a way.

    • @AlloffroadAu
      @AlloffroadAu  9 месяцев назад

      yea, but as I said, pretty much all my gear is 12v. I rarely have used my old 300w Inverter over the past years. The 700w inverter was lying in my garage for two years but was never installed because of no room and no urgency. The only reason for me to have a 2000w inverter would be induction cooking, and that is something that I only recently discovered and won't be doing exclusively. If I wanted to use an induction cooker from the car, I would need at least 250AH available, and that means room for an additional battery and also a significantly bigger inverter. I had two weeks' time to get that sorted before the trip, and given I have the Ecoflow Delta 2 and often carry it anyway, so I can offload my footage away from the car and also cook away from the car , this was the better option for me at this stage. If I build a new car, I will definitely go with a higher-capacity LiFePo4 and a bigger inverter.

    • @christurner68
      @christurner68 9 месяцев назад

      @@AlloffroadAu Totally get your point, it was just that you said you could not fit an inverter in and in the next sentence you showed that brick of a power pack. with that brick you have more capacity for your needs and it is portable. You don’t need induction cooking anyway as you just need to boil some water to eat those freeze dried meals haha! 👍

      Yes, that is a good question; I would say after my past experience with other batteries, there is a very good chance I would have. The whole cruiser was always built to be a very reliable and capable car and I learned quite a while ago that the poor man often pays twice. The cruiser is a 100k car, and my auxiliary battery set-up is super important for my travels and filming, so it is definitely a component I would not skimp on having it reliable.

    Don't charge the Ecoflow from an inverter and your battery. You can easily charge the Ecoflow during driving via a 12V cable with 8A max (charging with 100 watts), or (this way I'm doing it with my DELTA MAX 1600) using a 12V-24V converter and charge it via 24V with 8A max (charging with 200 watts), That's the easiest and safest way for me, also better for the Ecoflow battery and while driving you should have plenty of power from your alternator. 😏

      yep did say many positive things about DCS but unfortunately they just did not last for me under the bonnet something which only became apparent with time. Redarc actually did listen and change the Lithium charge profile after my video. The issue is heat. I clearly don't spruik superiority if I show the shortcomings I guess it's hard for any not ventilated unit i.e without a fan to provide such a high output and not derate because of heat. I do agree Redarc could advertise this differently. I have not seen a different non ventilated unite provide full continuous 50a output have you?. Nearly all BCDC chargers have a heat based derating so not unique to Redarc. Redarc has the highest operating temp of all the DCDC charges I looked at still de-rates though.

    My god!🤦‍♂️ Whoever u get your electrical information from, I think u need to find a better source. The charge current for a battery is determined by the battery, not the charger! If u have a 50A charger, that just means 50A is it’s max output. The battery is only taking what it wants. If you’re only getting 30A of charge, that’s because the battery & charger r doing exactly what they should be doing.🙄

      lol maybe don't comment if you don't know. The battery can take 130a continuous charge current and the charger de-rated because it reached 60c operating temperature as per manual and not because the battery did not accept 50a charge (btw for a good LiFePo4 battery 50a charging is nothing)
